@@JamesLupe-wi5jdLOL telling someone to ask you is def a power move. Youre in control of the convo while cutting down their confidence before they even ask, cause if you gotta ask then you already know
so one of the "wildest" questions ever asked in the entire history of broadcast television is when the thai cook asked the british tv cook "what do you want to know from me?" in regard to some noodles?
He probably was disgusted lmao, I love Thai food but when I visited for a service trip it was pad Thai every meal, I got so sick of it, satay or pad see ew are amazing if you don’t like pad Thai. My favorite is Laab that
That’s something that I realized about being a chef, it’s a life time journey as you’re constantly learning. Unless you just stick with what you know which is great too if what you know is good and works. But if you keep branching out to master different cuisines then yea you’re pretty much a student for life
Whenever someone pursue in the roads of knowledge, even the master will be a student yet again (coz they still wanna learn something new). At least that's what my history teacher says (God bless her soul she's not here anymore)
In Thailand I’d probably call him Lung ลุง which means uncle. Super common here to call elders uncle, auntie or granny and if it’s a friends parent you can call them mum and dad พ่อแม่ 😅😅
They don't give a fck who he is, cz he doesn't matter at all outside of US and UK... So you should probably burst your bubble and live in the real world 🥲
@@Aryzo Well, I think even genuine criticism itself is already missing nowadays, especially on the internet. 🙄 On the internet, I mostly just find cyberbullying or just pure insults.
@rizaldiaulia7496 "Well actuality this pa Thai is garbage do better" versus "no it needs to be more sou and salty" are vastly different but people seemingly don't know the difference anymore😅
Gordon Ramsey is just a brilliant chef and person, that’s learning and taking constructive criticism like he’s suppose to and learn and that’s what he’s doing
Ramsey is an excellent chef and person. And entertainer. Great to see him humble every now and then. Woke slimcharles and redslim is probably one person with two accounts. That's how much you love to defend him😂
I always appreciated Gordon’s humbleness and openness when it comes to other culture’s food. He knows so much yet is always ready to learn. Love his attitude to things
Makes no sense lol the guy who knows so much is a guy who learns so much. Then for why should the continued learning be surprising ! It is clearly his way of life ! Not a challenge he overcomes with joy but a journey itself he walks through with joy.
@@gabbyslife4965Gordon is a very humble man. He never praises himself and goes out of his way to learn different cuisine and knows how to take a criticism. His humility took him where he is right now.
In order to use a reverse uno card, the other person must have played their card first. So, according to your logic, Gordon called him an idiot sandwich first?
He is so disappointed after that bite lmaooooo look at how his arms just fall down to his sides. He tried to avoid answering the inevitable question as well
THIS is why its so funny. The second he tastes it he's like FAIL, but his politeness means he cant just look over and shi- all over Gordon, but requested to be asked his opinion first. The struggle with keeping his revulsion down, the 'ngh' initial reply, its all comedy gold 😅😅😅😅
I love that he first told Gordon to ask him about his dish first. To politely be sure he was actually seeking his honest opinion, which of course ramsay was. But the honest feedback is ever so important.
Gordon: What is it like? Thai Chief gives the traditional Father look: YOU have the audacity of still standing here after failing in every subject and breaking school window during your school Fight.
@@African.empresshe was angry because Gordon didn't cook well. He said "before you call it 'pad Thai, I have to taste it first!"...eats it, gets angry...asks sarcastically "what do you want to know from me, ask me"...Gordon stutters "how is it?"... angry face.."nnng? No. This is not pad thai at all! Pad thai has to be sweet and salty!" Asian version of "this shit?".
No he didnt. This was an episode where Gordon was making food for a local temple. Gordon tasted it again and said I dont think that tastes that bad. He then serves it to the monks and they all like it, and he mentions that the harsh criticism was unfair since everyone else loved it.
