Actually the ones that are not from an English speaking country will probably never make your/you're kind of mistake. We've learned English in school, so their/they are, then/than, and your/you're are totally different things for us. We may have our articles or the word order wrong, but not that. There has been times in this series where the food is great/ the chefs are good but limited.

It's not really a delusion If they have seen any other of his shows episode (which I am pretty sure they have since they have agreed to be on one) they know that in every episode the first time he tastes the menu he says everything is crap. All of their "I hope he is going to like it" BS and then being surprised that he doesn't like any of it. It's all a bloody act!

Well seeing how over 60% of the restaurants he visits end up closing down within a few months after the show he must be doing something wrong... oh wait, yea, maybe because it is a TV SHOW meant for entertainment not reality. Gordon doesn't give 2 shits about these restaurants, it's all for his show. Most of the episodes are aired several months after the show is filmed and produced. That doesn't really help the restaurant. And just think about this for more then a second; there is a full week (or more) of filming and acting, "customers" brought in from craigs list and instructed on how to act and what to say when the camera is at their table. Then everything is cut and edited to fit into a 40 min episode. That's NOT reality! The moment the stage is set throughout the restaurants, filming equipment, lights and cameras hanging all over the place, everyone knowing that they are going to be on global tv is the moment everyone stops being their real normal self. Even Ramsey! They also try and make it look like he is some super psychologist managing to change sociopaths with sever mental disorders from one day to the next. It's all an act. If most people on his show are like that in real life then they need a years of help from a real educated psychologist not Gordons magical capabilities of making them better from 1 day to the next.

MOST of us viewers realise that it is only a snapshot into the harsh realities of running a restaurant and GR’s purpose there is to give them a tight wake up call with a few ideas, that they could make use of if they are willing to take a step out of their usual rut and TRY something different. He also gives a very brief insight into how things could be…. Any bright owner would be keeping a list of every little thing he says so that they can go out and learn about it. He craps on you for providing frozen food - go and learn about fresh food storage; learn about labelling and rotation, and food safety, and experiment with keeping a limited fresh food menu. He says talk to each other the line - go and ask other owners if you can watch their kitchen staff work. He says, try serving steak - then f try serving steak (and go for it, not some lame menu item at the bottom of your vaguely Italian pick and mix menu!) This is like any other Master Class! You snooze YOU lose!

I think it's both a popular dish and it's easy for Gordon to tell whether it's fresh or not. If the restaurant cheaps out on something basic like this (and possibly even charges a lot for it) that's a very early red flag.
