He might have Raynaud's which is when your hands look blue because "smaller arteries that supply blood to the skin constrict excessively in response to cold, limiting blood supply to the affected area." (Google) Usually it's harmless and his hands would go back to its regular color once he's warmed up.
Im not certain if Gordon has this, but theres a condition called Raynauds disease, where at random times you can get reduces blood flow to parta of your body, mainly hands, so they can go blue or white
