Secretly, I was hoping that Charlie was going to be cooking recipes from Gordon Ramsay's cookbook and then doing a tier list based off of how well he cooked them. That would be hilarious!
Gordon has a lot of culinary knowledge, but he doesn't understand how to cook American dishes. He proved as much whenever he did his restaurant makeovers for his reality show Kitchen Nightmares.
I thoroughly enjoyed the 9 seconds of silence the editor gave us at the ending part of the video, while also giving us the time and chance to fully admire the sight of Charlie and Matt eating Gordon Ramsay's frozen food. Truly an astonishing moment to die for.
Do people deserve respect that buy frozen dishes? Did you think you will get 5 star restaurant experience out of a freezer? He probably doesn't even know about this and is used as a face for packaging. He did tons of shows and owns multiple restaurants do you think he needs more income from frozen food? :D I am not trying to defend him but with his popularity I think he swims in money. I doubt he knows about this frozen food. @@Gurupimp10
The plot development in this video is crazy. They started by insulting the grilled cheese and then halfway through Charlie said, "If there's one thing Gordon has proven it's that he knows how to use his cheese."
I think I saw in an interview somewhere that the grilled cheese video was a rush job cause he needed to put a video out and he was in the middle of god damn nowhere. Idk for certain though
@@xndr3yeah, but most food in the US probably has 0 to very little trans fats these days. So if you're not only eating Gordon ramsay frozen food youre probably good anyway
@@mattBLACKpunk yeah that’s why it’s disappointing. like i wasn’t planning on ever buying these but i would think someone of Ramsay’s status would be able to have frozen dinners that aren’t morbidly unhealthy lol
Sometimes people just don't feel like meal prepping after a long day. Depending on your job. I'm terrible with it as well and will waste $ driving to the shoppette on base just to get an overpriced sandwich to save an hour at night. @@UnicornDecapitator
@@UnicornDecapitator Ehhh, just because something is frozen doesn't mean it's bad, and just because something is freshly made at home doesn't mean it's good for you. Then again, op said they were looking for work lunch, which means the priority is how good they are and how filling they feel for their price and time investment.
Well I wasn't expecting a Gordon Ramsay tier list from Charlie but this is gonna be one of the best food tier lists he's ever done, hope Gordon sees this lol.
It literally can not be a "Shepard's" Pie if it contains ground beef. Hes yelled at chefs on his TV shows for that. For it to be a "shepards" pie it must contain lamb. Using ground beef makes it a cottage pie.
I haven't had a good Shepherd's Pie since the '80s. Apparently they never taste right because Cottage Pie is not the Victorian term for Shepherd's Pie.
I actually would like to know how frozen meals get created. I wonder if Gordon actually made the recipes or just simply advised on what he wanted from his frozen line of food. From what I've understood from ratatouille is that when a company puts out a frozen meal on the behalf of a chef its like a bastardized version of their own cooking. Ofc it's not going to be his on the spot cooking but as a chef I wonder what he thinks about his own product.
100% they just paid for name and likeness. This company has other "celebrity" frozen meals with nearly identical packaging, just swap out the theme and celebrity and you've got "options" :)
You guys should also do the Guy Fieri frozen meals. My favorites have been the sloppy joe mac & cheese and the pepperoni lasagna, but most of them are fire.
My issue with Gordon is that he's inauthentic. He learned how to cook all these Italian dishes from other chefs. They don't speak to who he is. He should be cooking mutton legs, shepherd's pies, pasties, etc. The attitude is concerning too. I met him in New York about ten years ago and called him out on his abrasive attitude, and he instantly became apologetic. It's all a smokescreen for the cameras.
Never in a million years that I would've expected a celebrity Chef who bitches about frozen food would actually sell boxes of mini microwave meals. Especially frozen fish. He is blowing my mind. It's amazing. My God in heaven.
As someone who’s tried nearly every frozen meal at Walmart, a lot of these are the exact same as other brands so I’m assuming they just repackaged some fancier looking frozen meals and slapped his face on it Ex. The risotto tastes and looks exactly like Amy’s brand risotto
Actually was really curious to hear what you guys would say on these. I've tried the shepherd's pie one only and thought it was pretty good so I'll have to try some of the others
I feel like every pot pie I've microwaved, the bottom crust has just been mush and/or stuck to the bottom so I strictly bake them now whereas most other dishes ie. lasagne I just microwave because laziness lol. Noticed a common theme you guys said was that the pastry is good on the dishes.
Apart from the end this was the best tier list video I’ve seen… it might be my drunk brain or limited attention span but the funny editing made me laugh.
i went into this expecting a lot of mid or worse, im shocked they loved so much of it! Actually gonna buy a couple of these when i go grocery shopping to give em a try
Would love to see a " best spice recovery item tier list". Get spicy things that y'all are comfortable with eating to hit y'all's spice alert and try different items like milk, ice cream, water....mayo etc. and see what helps the most
Having tried the mac and cheese and enjoyed it a lot, I'm very pleased to see Charles and Matthew give it an S. Also in total of agreement about the pizza bites being a slightly higher quality Totino's, though I would've given them a B. Didn't really enjoy the fish and chips, though the fries pushed it up to a D for me. Will have to try the cheese bites, Wellington bites and the lasagna.
what would be hilarious would be if Gordon went to review a restaurants meals and said they were al disgusting, and then finds out that all they used were his frozen meals.
true, it would go against his character arc if he actually liked what someone else gave him and mg i just had images of a Gordon Ramsey japanese anime about him trying to find the perfect flavour/food @@_DMNO_
