Someone on Twitter said her Trump friends are actually depressed right now. Best news I've heard in ages. EDIT: Wow lotta replies. I meant to say her pro-Trump friends, lol.
Does he really have friends? Everything in his life is transactional. I think he just has people whose friendship benefits him. They're chosen strategically because they make him look important by association, or he might need to use them some day. Or both. He makes people complicit in things they wouldn't otherwise do, to protect himself--even if it means potentially ruining their career, their reputation, and their other relationships. Maybe their freedom.
that really is a good sign... that means, that the actually start to listen to the facts... VERY good direction! Then we can finally share ONE reality again :)
Yes, but being a reluctant witness, that is holding back and having to be baby stepped, after lying in sworn testimony twice, may not keep him out of prison. At least, we can hope not...
Loved the part where he said the quid pro quo was just a presumption on his part. Week Two, and still no evidence of a crime implicating the president!
You know it's gonna be a good holiday season when the entire upper echelon of this corrupt administration is finally implicated on record! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody!

"I do not want a quid pro quo" is a totally normal thing for a human being to say. Except it has never been uttered by any human being in the history of the world until now.
you're right about that, The only way one can say "I don't want quid pro quo" is if quid pro quo had been a subject matter in a conversation. No one, out of the blues, blurts, "I want nothing, I want no quid pro quo" Makes absolutely no sense... But it's hilarious!

I am going to applaud Ambassador Sondland. I don’t think anyone would be able to live with themselves if not for forgiveness. He really rubbed the GOP the wrong way. I was delighted with his sarcastic answers to Jordan. I believe at least a part of him was sickened by what Trump was trying to do. Trump still has a lot of power and the rank and file GOP are cowards. Terrified cowards. I think if they turned on Trump they would be hailed as patriots. Trump has no sense of decency therefore he would do everything to destroy anyone who turns on him-just like a mob boss.

Imagine how much an administration populated by entirely competent staff could get away with. We're lucky Trump is so lame. I'd like to think that perhaps voters will be more discriminating in the future. Campaign finance must be radically reformed. I favor making all private campaign funding illegal. Each candidate would be provided an equal, modest campaign grant, etc. The reason I'm saying all this is because there STILL are millions of people rabidly defending Trump. I don't know how they can.

That is what I have been thinking about. Sondland is a GOP mega donor. He is in the current trouble he's in because the the GOP and the Trump admin wanted to reward him for his support. Yet if they don't handle that situation with some kind of tact, other mega donors and friends of Sondland might very well start to think "there but for the grace of God go I". It would be all too easy for other donors to see themselves ending up somehow caught up in GOP troubles, illegalities, whatever, and start to want to put some distance between themselves and the party. Which would mean perhaps decreasing support. Besides plain not liking the way Sondland is being treated. Or Rex Tillersen was. Which may explain this sudden urge that billionaires have to jump in on the Democrat side of politics.
I never would be working in the government, if I was rich enough to buy a position. What is the motivation for a billionaire to do something like this? Sonderland, DeVos ... They could lean back and have a comfortable life on a remote island or yacht. Or is it an ego-trip?
