No worries, they ruined it with the new patch. Defence sects are dead, you either delete someone with an injury/poison or attack combo, or you stay in the game long enough to hear from one of the other fields the sunstrikes fall and know the 2-nd or 3-rd deletes you and skips your "token" legendaries that give protection below 30% or when you hit 0% from the dmg gap it does.
