I waved too 👋🏼. Absolutely in love with your waistcoat idea. Think you would absolutely rock it. For some reason I can see you with a cute little backpack that matches! Would be fab for the Stitch Festival! ❤
What a lovely video! The babycord is like the fabric I bought at the Bedford retreat. I made the Ivy pinafore. I love your ideas for both fabrics. The skirt will be 🤩. And yes, I always wave back 👋👋 Great out-takes too 💕
I can see you in a fitted waistcoat with a satin back in this cord, Tamlyn. You could wear it on its own as a top or with a fitted tee, just like the one you planned, but I think with a bit more versatility and a bit more of an edge to it 😊 great video as always, that skirt will look lovely 😊
Great vlog. Love the outtakes at the end, so funny. Hope you found the pin. Skirt looks amazing, I like that pattern although at my age I’d have to lengthen it lol.
Love the cord fabric this month.. too pretty.. I think I'd make a toque with the fleece to go with you jacket. How cozy for a nice winter's walk.. No matter what have fun
hi Tamlyn, hooe you and your family are well x i watched one of your videos yesterday and you mentioned a sew over it subscription which was £10 and you got a voucher towards one of their patterns. i am subscribed to their newsletter but cant seem to find this £10 one on their site, where should i be looking please?! A good result for The Toon last night lol. I am a Mackem (not practising lol 😂) but my partner is a huge NUFC fan x
Good morning from upstate New York! I wasn't going to watch and make myself wait for the box to make its way over 'the pond'. But then I caved when I saw this pop up just now. Lol. Are you sure there is only 1/2 m of the flower fleece? It's been 1 m of supplemental fabric since Hayleigh stepped away from the fat quarters. Thx
Hi Rita, hope you like the look of the box! We specify that that fabric is up to 1m, depending on the nature of the fabric. As this is very thick fabric we went for half a metre with the intention of it being used to make cosy accessories.
Hi Rita, where in upstate NY are you? I’m in Rochester…. I’ve thought about getting a subscription box but wondered about the shipping $ over the pond. 😉.
Lol, I think we read what we want to read! Thanks for the clarification Hayley. Ironically, this fleece was one of the first ones I bought when I started sewing, 3 years ago. But I re-organized my stash over the holidays, and can't find it now! I'm sure I will and having the bit extra will allow me to make something cute! Thanks Hayley.@@SewHayleyJane
@@maryellenoneill9061 How funny! I'm in Rochester as well, Fairport to be exact. Yes, shipping does add a bit to the cost (approx. $22.31), but I gave myself a year for the subscription to see if it was worth the added price. The cost for the Classic Box Subscription £35.00 + Tracked & Signed Shipping £17.50 = £57.50. This converts to approx. $73.46 per month - give or take a few pennies for the current conversion rate. I actually think the shipping is very reasonable! When I send a small package to my son in Phoenix, it can cost that much or more and it's usually faster over the pond than over our country! And I have LOVED every box I've gotten. They are so much fun. What kind of sewing do you enjoy? None of my friends close to me sew. It's nice to see that there are people around me who do.
Rita- thank you for the additional information on the boxes and shipping. I may have to sign up. I love garment sewing but do other types as well. Is there a way we can connect outside of RU-vid? We have a chapter of the American sewing guild in Rochester and a garment group that meets in irondequoit…..
