Gorillas talk, sign, play, fight, chase, chest thump, throw dirt and sticks at each other. Funny bits at Busch Gardens, Tampa Florida for 1 hour. FrontYardVideo FYV #gorillas
I agree, I've seen definite signs that orangutans have a sense of humor, and I believe that all great apes do. The following is a pretty clear example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OLrYzY3jVPY.html
Another example. There's no way that anyone can convince me that the orangutan playing with the bag wasn't exhibiting a sense of humor: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i0BzEKP_exQ.html
@@Hqhq-01 Thanx for the videos. I've seen them before and I still fall on the floor laughing. Especially the one with the little orang with the bag on its head. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 There's a very talented voice over genius named R*CKST*R who did a voiceover for it called Dirty Pillowcase Guy. Sorry but I don't know how to send links. Thx again and be safe.
This is one of my favorite gorilla videos. There's a point starting about 1:03 where he gets in a little tug-of-war over a twig and he starts hopping around in a way that makes me laugh every time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FQ2l4csUiVM.html
I believe (and I could be wrong) that this interaction is largely playful and relaxed. I believe the "clapping" is a sign or invitation to play. You can see the larger, dominant gorilla request scratches several times through a simple sign accompanied by tugging on his playmate's arm, but his friend is far more interested in roughhousing than massaging.
My heart breaks for them. All day they have to hear the screaming from the rollar coasters and the people talking. To me they have no vegetation or enhancements. These are very intelligent great apes. They need to live out their lives in a way better place.
This is how I used to play box with my dad. Except until one day I thought I was faster and better, then he showed me I was less experienced. love you pops for teaching me boxing.
I can just imagine what they are saying to each other. One big guy says, "Should we get somethin goin?" The other guy says, "No, not yet. It's hardly worth the effort until you get a bigger crowd." "I'm tired of waiting. You start somethin and I'll act pissed off and throw a fit. That always get'em goin."
Seeing "Junior" trying so hard to engage "Senior" in some fun, playful roughhousing, was SO enjoyable ...I LOVE when a Silverback thumps his chest because it sounds like they're wearing a BIG PADDED BRA...HaHa : ) Thank you so much "FYV"...Great video...
Wow I just found myself here, but I'm very happy I did , these guys are such majestic , gentle creatures!! So intelligent it's like they were playing chess ! Ok your move, they definitely were using some form of sign language. Bottom line they were definitely just messing around because if they were serious this would have been settled in the matter of minutes!!! Such respect for these gentle giants‼️♥️
I love gorillas they are so beautiful they're just amazing magnificent God created them they're so beautiful I love the way they communicate it's so amazing
These guys are relaxed, not bored. Boredom would cause stress and agitation. A natural habitat, food, shelter, even health care! Companionship and safety. Freedom to run around, to sleep or hang around and stuff. Best of all we get to share these moments with them !!!! We can share them with each other. What's not to like lll
Most of the gorillas we see on these videos have been in captivity their whole life, so they have no idea what the wild is! They are happy and healthy are given the best food, what is there to be sad about? They're living a good life! I couldn't agree more! And we get to observe them which l love❤ Thanks to the people who do this for a living! We all appreciate you!🦍❤
They have such great faces! I watched this in two parts but found their banter with each other fascinating. I wondered if they were father and son or brothers? Even though I wish they could live in their natural environment, I’m glad they are protected from poachers. The best scenario for now, sadly.
Great credit to the fine, patent hands holding the camera !!! Nature photographers are amazing and dedicated. Just remember them every time you can see through their eyes and great talents !! Watch the through to the end.....fast forward ! No more negatives about these guys lack of fun and freedom !!
Father and son, (son is reaching silverback maturaty, less cone head shape) but definitely play like father and son, in the wild, the son would soon leave the troop to form his own i think. But very father son type behaviour. Gorillas are gentle loving vegetarian (minus grubs, other tiny insects) beautiful "people" of a different type. I love them.
They always look like they are in deep contemplation to me. Idk I think they know more than we think. Unlike chimps, I can see the faces clearly and easily tell one from the other. The faces are very distinct.
I can't imagine how else a normal everyday person getting the opportunity to see a creature so magnificent in their entire life. Thankfully we have zoos. If you noticed, the people were amazed and were inquisitive, watching every movement from the Gorillas and asking questions. These animals help us connect with them, they are like our connection to the wild when though we're in modern times. These few Gorillas out of the thousands help us understand them, and I swear it is much different seeing them in person than it is over someone else's video. Just listen to the people's reactions.
@@Pray925 true but as I watched an incredible documentary about gorillas which happen to be my favourite animal, what do you think popped up on my main RU-vid page? with an irresistible title? I plead guilty on that, but not to buying a ticket to a zoo. I don't know if that makes sense but it's all I can come up with.😀
This is an interesting game between junior and senior. It seems the old man has arthritis therefor junior (who is stronger) plays the game carefully. Amazing.
This is hilarious to watch. The beginning had me dying. One gorilla snapping sticks and throwing them in the air. The dude in the back picking his boogers and eating them.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️I imagine them talking shit to each other while the guy in the back watches. But when he lays down and stops watching they stop playing til he looks again. I could watch these guys all day.
They don’t look sad. If you look at the videos of them in the wild….the facial expressions are the same and they are doing the exact same thing these do gorillas are doing….nothing. They are very sedentary animals. They like to lounge around eating all day…..just like in the wild.
I had the honor of hiking up the mountain in Rwanda to see the gorillas. It was such an amazing experience. We could only stay with them for one hour to lessen the chance of passing any harmful germs.
These 2 are exactly like College Dudes just jacking around! They are so bright, making facial features including smiling and evin this "un-natural setting", I'm so surprised to see males - more than 2 Silverbacks, in just a 1 on 1 "kicking it" This doesn't happen in the Wild. Therea1 are usually 1 male per group or when extra males are in a group they don't "hang out jackin around"! A really unique and great footage! Thx for sharing!
Great video. These 2 aren't full silverbacks. I think that they're having a great time testing each other out. I know some people think that this is inhumane for them to be in captivity but I would rather see this than to see them dead and their body all cut up by poachers. That's what happening in the wild.
At first, I totally opposed their life in captivity until I read that their numbers in the wild was dwindling due to the bush meat trade. Only then did I begin to have a change of heart. I wish that they all could be released back into the wild where they rightfully belong but that will only occur in a perfect world.
I always see the son's when they are Black Back's but this one has become silver though he's not quite as large and filled out as his father. They are so magnificent when they become Silver Backs.
Well actually animals who are saved from poachers don’t get transported to zoos normally to an animal recovery thing and they keep them for a couple of months then eventually let them back into the wild. For most cases with zoos they get the gorilla from the wild and keep it in the zoo for all it’s life just for money. Even if they saved the gorilla from poachers taking it to a zoo where it can be trapped in a small area for all it’s life is still a bad thing
@@coffeebrown9371 they will kill and eat their meat. They are almost extinct....i don't want them to die. At least they can have the babies here and raise them. They love the children they have. Good mamas. Cant no one kill them....❤❤❤🦍🦍🦍🦍

A twister mat, an ech-a-sketch, and the board game operation needs to be put in the twos enclosure... Barrels of fun, and also an arm wrestling table!!!
The majority of the time these 2 gorillas look like their playing a game of chess (hmmm? What should I move there it’s your move okay Well let’s see what you do now 1 more move & your checkmated ha! Then they decide to take a break then get back to the game arguing who’s turn it is &so on &so on~~~lol all n all it’s been entertaining not a dull moment THX4sharing
I love watching these two obviously very great friends, but so sad such sensitive sentient beings can't live their lives in the wild where they belong. We may be the dominate species but we certainly aren't the most humane.
You are stupidly ignorant. You are obviously unaware that only a few hundreds of these animals are left alive and if these gorillas in the video went back into the wild they would possibly die.
ELES CONVERSAM ENTRE SÍ DE UM MODO QUE SÓ ELES ENTENDEM , CONVERSAM POR MEIO DE GESTOS MAS UMA COUSA FICOU CLARA , ELES SE RESPEITAM , PARABÉNS A TODA A DIREÇÃO DO ZOOLÓGICO POR ESSE MAGNÍFICO TRABALHO COM OS ANIMAIS , AMEI 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I can't stand to watch these beautiful creatures in this environment. Give them a habitat exclusively made for a gorilla. Where are the trees, grass, plants? Gorillas don't live on rocks. Every space should be green. Building these uncomfortable cement spaces is not good for their quality of life. These gorillas are just an attraction like a circus. If you really care about these animals, give them a place suitable for them.
What your not mine my father tells me I'm made in his image and love me so much that he sent his son to die for my sins so I can ce reconciled back to him now that's true love .
@@19Esmay A news report I saw said he had two offspring. Although, I think he was just a surrogate father. This is him with a family group. watch?v=JlWJkEtYphQ
Is this oliver and enzi? Are they that big yet? I love these two here! Actually, from the comments it seems these two are father and son, not the two i mentioned.
They are communicating with each other. The older gorilla is trying to get the younger gorilla to throw that big rock, but they also know that the bigger gorilla is watching them so they have got to be careful. But yes they are plotting to be mischievous
They're like superhuman children that don't know how to talk, n if they could I guess thought before action. They would probably be thinking why they're locked up. Just depends on how much self awareness you'd like them to have to hold a conversation
