Actually, Murdoc praises 2D in a lot of different ways, sometimes nearing a creepy level. However, you have to search between interviews, videos and any type of media to get them.
If they ever make the Gorillaz a show on Netflix or something of the sort I want them to begin the series with origin stories of each character gradually building up to the rest of the lore. And it should be a little bit of slice of life of how they interact as bandmates
Seiya Tinajero that would be perfect, I wanna see the car crash through the window in full animated glory and how they met Russel and Noodle showing up
Seiya Tinajero Russell was in a gang in New York, with him being the soul survivor of a drive by shooting. Del is the spirits of his friends that died and possess him. Russell eventually went to London, fearing that he’d die next in another shooting, and became a drummer when he saw Murdoc’s ad. Noodle just arrived at their doorstep in a UPS box from Japan.
Most 8 ball fracture hyphemas result in the person going blind if left untreated. It also looks drasticly different in real life. Then again, this is Gorillaz, logic doesn't apply.
@@yasmine4306 The eyeballs are still there, they are just black, because they are completely bloodshot. They have actually gotten back to normal in the recent videos and now look the same as Russel's.
I mean there's also this one time murdoc kidnapped him and forced him to play in the band so the question is if him running away would help him in any way
It would be great if the animation style changed throughout the film, From the first phase to the third (I didn’t name the fourth and fifth phase because it’s a piece of shit)
@@bigbadseed7665 Well, first of all, thats a bit of internalized homophobia but its not that bad ig. Second of all, murdoc is definetly no straight. Have you even seen all the bitez and interviews?? Like, theres no way that mans straight, hes bisexual for sure.
I believe 2-D has been referred at least twice as pretty, this instance and another short where the narrator called him a "pretty boy". I guess it's just his physical appearance in the Gorillaz universe that he characterized as pretty despite us seeing him as goofy looking. This is due to him being based off Damon Albarn's looks.
two different sources of audio. one was from an audiobook of rise of the ogre (worse quality) i think and the better quality was from an interview- i believe the plastic beach interview which is in three parts. correct me if i'm wrong..
I want the movie or something to have a beginning of Murdoc putting the band together. Like each member has there own little flashback to before they were in the band @Nebulous Insomniac had this idea.
Murdoc maimed somebody and didn't think A. Shit, are they alright B. Shit, I'm going to jail Or C. Shit, this is terrible He thought D. Shit, this is a good business opportunity. It's annoying how right he was to think that.
Poor 2-D's eyes to be honest. If Murdoc didn't the 90° doughnut, 2-D eyes still there but its weird to see one damaged 2-D's eye and calling him 1-D lol Edit: 360°. Sorry
Best to look dapper before you get hit by a car, of course. Wouldn't you like to look fancy before having an eyeball taken out and put in a coma? yes yes, fancy man.
Does it bother anyone else that Murdoc nose was it like that until he hooked up with 2d's girlfriend and Russel broke it, but in backstorys it's already curved like that?
murdoc's nose has been broken like 8 times with only one of them being from russ and the rest being from bullies when he was in school, hes lived most of his life with his nose being fucked up like that lol
petrifyer L well, i think it was mainly a matter of murdoc knowing that he wasn’t getting success with him as the singer (it seems he knew he was bad at singing) so getting a good singer to make bank is just logical. you could say it is selfish, considering he kinda uses 2D to make sure the money keeps rolling in
@@zarsiw well i mean he's still very selfish, its just if he was the most selfish person alive then he would have made himself the frontman no matter what.
I think this plot idea was inspired by what happened to the droid D2 in the 1972 sci-fi movie "Silent Running". I didn't realize it until I read a more detailed movie synopsis because some descriptions just refer to D2 by his nickname. I think he was called Hughey. The droids were Hughey, Dewey and Louie. Stewie, aka Stew, would definitely rhyme. The droid didn't always follow instructions. It got hit by a car or buggy at high speed aboard the spacecraft, was damaged and couldn't be fully repaired so the main character kept it with him. The design on the side on the droids looks a bit like a monkey or ape face. The themes in the movie appear to be referenced in some songs and media by Gorillaz and various artists. The movie set models were record breaking and revolutionary. The movie was made into a Scholastic book for kids.
Confused. Originally 2d's injury was called a set of 8 ball fractures. Now it's being called he physically has no eyes?? Yet they turn white- Gorillaz please set this straight-
I know this comment is old but i just wanted to point out at 0:45 he says he still has eyes, they're just pushed slightly inward from an 8 ball fracture. Its a real life condition that completely fills the eye with blood, giving the iris a dark red or black color
@@Squashh_ yea cause they didnt have everything figured out yet lol, they were still figuring out how the characters would look and everything when they were still gorilla
My question is.. why did they give murdoc the responsibility of watching 2-d for his community service when he's the reason he was in the coma- If it hadn't happened we wouldn't have our lovable cinnamon roll.. but he would probably be better mentally+physially 😭
