jeepers creepers But he sound nothing like 2d anyway. 2d is highly auto tuned because Damon can barely reach most notes anymore, hence why he sounds so fucking weird live. I feel like he deadass just doesn’t remember the lyrics.
@@myttydohun4851 I'm just going by what he said dude. Though I imagine it would be difficult to remember all those songs. Also how does the way he sounds contribute to his memory?
I keep coming back to this live version! Even if Damon can‘t reach the high, typical 2D notes anymore, his matured voice gives the song an 80‘s vibe which makes it a cool alternative version to the studio recording
@@seanjohnson3401 He (2D) shouts in Ghost Train, too. Or, in Last Living Souls (Studio), in the final part you can hear a background voice where 2D is shouting the ''We're the last living souls, yeah we´re the last living souls...'' vocals, which sound similar to the performance of this video.
if anyone else is asking why damon sings like that, remember when his on the recording studio his voice is calm but when he is in the concert he has to do it a little force for people to hear DAWM GOD YOU DONT SEE THE DIFFERENCES TO BE IN CONCERT AND BE IN THE RECORDING STUDIO?!!!!
It could also potentially add to the confusion that someone in such a situation could feel, due to the presumed amount of drugs and alcohol that they've intaken.
It can also be seen as two different singers' perspectives, So Damon saying "Your head is caving in" and the backups singing "The Room" your head and the room can be inferred as the same thing but from different perspectives.
@@carlosronkiyo8294 there was a comment someone made about 2-ds voice he does. Apparently he sings in falsetto for 2-d, but it’s harder to sing that for a long time, so he chose his natural voice that sounds more like belting.
Ppl always complain about the "IT DAAAAAEEEEHH" performance but let's be honest, if you go to a Gorillaz show it's 50% for the music and 50% for the pure chaos
Because people age like a fine wine. People passed 30, 40, 50, etc. make some of the greatest, most fertile art. Don’t fear getting older, it’s nowhere near as bad as you think. Honestly most people will tell you they’re way happier outside of their 20’s
In my opinion, this version is the best. I mean, the recorded version was good too, but this one has a lot more energy, and the ending sounds a lot better, too.
Oscillate yourself tonight When you in your bed Assimilate the dopamine Passing trough your head When you get back on a saturday night and your room is caving in. Do you look like me? Do you feel like me? Do you turn into your effighy Do you dance like this...Forever See yourself the cupids flame Chipped on your head Kabdjsisbf the satellites Passing by the edge. When you get back on a saturday night and your head is caving in Do you look like me? Do you feel like me? Do you turn intl your effighy? Do you dance like this...Forever? Do you dance like this... For- ever. Do you look like me? Do you burn like me? Do you look like me? Do you burn like me? Do you look like me? Do you burn like me? Do you turn into your effighy? Do you dance like this...Forever Do you dance like this...Forever Do you dance? Do you dance? Do you dance? Do you dance?
The answer to your question is because Damon doesn't have the range to sing that high comfortably for extended periods of time and especially not when on tour where he'd be expected to sing multiple times a week for months
Today is the 1 *year* anniversary of when you uploaded this video. 🤓 EDIT- 5:19 P.M.: *finishes video 3 minutes later* The live version of "Tranz" sounds much better than the studio version.
John Berenskey because he sings both octaves in the recording but live he sings the lower octave only and has the higher octave sang by a choir, so their voices are more prominent. During the choruses it's the choir and Damon singing the same melody so it's a combination of both.
0:44 That is the most evil looking 2-D I've ever seen! He legit looks like he just finished a crossover with Junji Ito Edit: Also 2:15 great to know both me and Damon sing the song the exact same way, only difference is he does it on a stage in front of thousands, and I do it in my room while all alone XD
