when I was a kid I found these extremely entertaining. They are giant robots, that alone was enough for everyone I knew to get interested. We found play value by making them fight, they had weapons and the arms could move. That was good enough for us
It's a disgrace for companies to pawn off cheap crap on kids just because they're kids. I grew up on Beast Wars and PR megazords that were identical to their Sentai counterparts. There's no reason why companies can't make something that appeals to adult collectors but also can be enjoyed by kids.
I still can't believe Bandai America made the zord builder ports the flagship of their entite line and they're floppy, loose, and unpleasant to attach and detach.
@baltmatrix is the joint on your dragons head tight? idk how the neck hasnt come out during your reviews so far as always great review man keep up the good work :)
i got this today along with most of the other figures. The datas free hyper gosei great is called ultra gosei great megazord. And the little header you got from the original datas set comes in it's own motorcycle set with a component that looks like it's supposed to be a replacement for the sea lion main body should you lose it or it gets damaged. All you use from that set is that header. Anyway, the card that comes with the datas head says that it is called the ultra change zord.
Were these Zords dubbed "Zord Vehicles", like the pieces of "not-DaiTenku" (I don't know what Bandai America called it) were in the Power Rangers Samurai toy line.
you can still plug in the motorcycle parts under his feet, where you would normally plug them in at the fronts of the sky and sea lion in and make roller skates out of them. not that great, but at least its something.
The show says "Gosei GRAND"; the show is using Japanese footage, so it has the goof of Gosei Ground...but what I am referring to is that the cards that came with the toy have "Grand" instead of "Ground"
You mistransformed the head for both modes the arms on Gosei knight are supposed to go down to the side of the Megazords face to form somekind of sideburns/beard.
I'm sure you figured this out already, but the combination of Gosei Ground and Gosei Great is the Gosei Great Grand Megazord. Like i said you may have found out already somehow
Actually I got Goseiger Asia versions for about the same price. I got the Gosei Great for $58 shipped. Gosei Ground for $70 last year when I got my Boukenger zords. Trust me the Goseiger zords aren't as desirable when trying to get say Shinkenger or Gokaiger
Well, the standard for me for BA-remake deluxe transforming Megazords remains the Transforming Fury Megazord Set from "PRJF", which remade the Jungle Pride Megazord and all of its accessory mecha as smaller versions. That remains their best remakes IMO. If BA can't match that 2008 line, then it's crap.
To be honest EVA, The Megaforce toys aren't that bad. Like the Gosei Great Megazord, it was pretty close to the Japanese version. Same with the Sky,Sea,and Land Brothers.
