Nice climb! It’s great to hear what you are thinking as you are doing it!

Great effort Ed in grim conditions. Been up there a few times (also regular feature in Evans’ SWales sportive) and by the looks you picked the better side for climbing that day, the route from Abergavenny would have been extremely sketchy from what I could see from the summit. Not a great place to be in all that mist and fog but great feeling to get close to the KOM in grim conditions. 👌👍

Great effort! That looked cold and grim! I think the post-commentary with the power data turned out great, regardless of the camera angle. :)

I’ve just come back from the future to tell you that in 3 years time you’ll still be crap with a chest mount GoPro 😂

What were you doing Ed? You were riding up a hill very fast, of course! The continuous view of the power data is frightening. Although. When you think of Alex Dowsett "cruising" at 420W in the first part of the World TT....you're all bonkers.

Lol. Dowsett is a bit bigger than me but fair play to him for cruising at that twmpo

reportedly you turned down the 'free'/ unearned' tron bike...well done, sometimes you win by not winning.

This is true. Don’t know where you heard that though😂

Any comments on the e-cheat Jeffers? He wasn’t prepared to put in the work so deserved the sanction in my opinion.

Have you even bothered watching Cams video on it or even know anything about cams build up to it. Because clearly sounds like you know bugger all about the situation. Also watch Lanterne Rouges video so you understand it a bit more. BC are the idiots.

Charlie Newton No need to be so rude in your reply. Yes, I have watched his video and appreciate the argument regarding back dating of rules. If he feels it is unfair then he can follow the established process and appeal to CAS. Cycling has enough trouble getting coverage and sponsorship and along comes BT sport wanting to show the flagship event for the (e)sport in this country on TV. And what happens? This guy couldn’t be bothered to put the hours in to get the ‘tron’ bike. I can appreciate his anger at the ruling but he should also appreciate that he has brought the sport into disrepute and it will likely put off a number of potential sponsors. Zwift is not for me and if I’m going to watch cycling on the TV I’d rather watch the elite WT pros on the road. Watching his video give me the impression of someone who realised that the smart little niche that they had created for themselves has just evaporated because of a stupid mistake and not someone who was genuinely sorry. I would have more sympathy if he had just said he couldn’t be bothered and then things snowballed (i noted his point about going from 12th ranked to 10th). Unfortunately, he chose the Sharapova defence. I’d rather watch Ed. Not up his own arse and doesn’t look for short cuts.

Jeffers used a bot to ride on multiple occasions at 2000 watts for distances of over 200km with a weight of 45kg. He knew what he was doing, I doubt very much he did it alone. He has brought shame on himself and cycling. He summed it up himself by saying what he did was ‘Unethical and Unsporting"He is a blatant cheat, the majority of people who follow sport and cycling are pleased he got caught and punished. He will be forever know as the cyclist who cheated. That will never go away. The plus side for him is that made another RU-vid video. I’m sure there will be more to come on the matter, There was also the matter of being logged on in multiple locations over a short period of time (Cheadle, Plymouth and Denmark, etc.)
