I listen to this album ("Gospel Ship") and another "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be" on my Vol #1 CD - 2 Albums on 1 CD which I dearly love and listen to every night since getting the 3 CD (6 albums) set a few months ago. How wonderful and blessed they are. Now, I have a question about the Gospel Ship album. May I ask it here? Or pls tell me how to ask you personally, Bird. Thanks Larry

I know you play a lot of musical instruments and play them well and I had to laugh at the time your 'fingers got stuck' 🙂 but seriously, I hear some real nice drum work on the album Gospel Ship and cannot help but wonder if you also play drums? Second question is I wonder why 'I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go' is not on YT. That song is so powerful that I cried for the first 6 or 8 times I heard it. And it still evokes very powerful emotions each night and is my favorite. That comes from God and is how His greatest blessed music works for me. That album is just a great blessing. Every song. And I cannot put it down even after several months of nightly playing it along with the 'How Beautiful Heaven Must Be' album on the same CD. My special time with God, with lights off and headphones on, in prayer and going over each word you sing so beautifully. I could never thank you enough for your music which is one of the greatest blessings I have ever had. I thank God and I thank you, Bird, for your service to us, God's children. @@zmov1 Larry, what you are telling me is special. It makes all the hours of work I put in over the year worth it! To know I can be a blessing to someone is so rewarding! My goal in life, especially this last half of it, has been to spread a message of love and peace and kindness to each other. If people could only realize what a great world we could have if we just loved each other. As for the drums, I do play drums but by the time I started recording my Gospel music, I had a digital workstation. The early albums only things that could be triggered from a keyboard were recorded to it and then it was synced to my multitrack recorder. I could then "play drums" on my keyboard using drum samples. But I suppose knowing how to play real drums helped me create convincing drum tracks. But the last several years the computers got fast enough that we record everything including vocals and acoustic instruments all together in the work station now. I think I had it by the fifth CD. The first 4 CD's I used a multi track system synced to the workstation. The technology we have today is beyond belief! I go back to the earliest studio I worked in back in the 60's where everything was recorded at one time by a group onto 2 track tape. No punch ins. Had to be done in real time with as few mistakes as possible. But today we can record one instrument at a time like I do and take it as many times as needed or just fix a spot on the track if needed. Not possible back then lol! Love you my friend. So glad the music is helpful to you!

The Lord is really using you brother 😁 I have a song request, really none of the versions on RU-vid sounded like how I've heard it, but I think you would do it very well!! How in the world did you do this video editing???? Obviously you used a green screen, but, how did you feet everyone in front of that green screen. Tell me your secret if you will, and God will bless you a million times over.
You have to shoot each person individually lip syncing to the song and then assemble it syncing each take to the master recording. It is assembled over what ever background you choose or have available. In this case a stage background over which we superimpose the ship with it's effects and then the people. I use premiere pro as my editing software.
Thank you for your reply. I have come up with a little bit different approach. My green screen is only 7 feet wide and 7 feet tall. I have a large green canvas for the floor. The first thing I do is make a master sound track using my Tyros 4 keyboard utilizing sound on sound technology for the .wav file. This requires no video editing only laying down audio tracks. Then I video tape myself in front of the green screen singing along and playing the guitar with the master audio track. Because my green screen is small, I have to video myself beyond the green screen which means that the video is also taking in the bookcase, and other things in the room. But, no problem. I will simply CROP out those things which are not in the green screen. This allows me to have more freedom of movement within my green screen, because I am utilizing the entire green screen for myself because the camera is far away and shooting areas of the room outside the border of the green screen. Like I said earlier, I will just crop out those areas later in ClipChamp leaving me with just the green screen and myself. While I am shooting the first green screen video clip, I sing along with the master audio track made with the Tyros 4 keyboard. Then I bring in the master audio into ClipChamp along with the first green screen video clip. Then I match up the audio of the master audio track from the keyboard with the audio from the green screen video clip. Once they are matched up I simply separate the audio from the green screen video clip and delete that audio. Then I "group" together the green screen video clip with the master audio from the keyboard. Using this technique, I do not have to lip sync when I am videoing the green screen clip. It is easier to sing along aloud with the master audio than trying to lip sync with the master audio. After cropping out all of the "stuff" that is outside the green screen vidoe clip, I will simply resize it and move into position on the virtual stage. I forgot to mention. When I video a green screen clip I use PORTRAIT mode from my android phone. Portrait mode allows you to video tape yourself from head to toe in a regular house room. If you video taped yourself using LANDSCAPE mode then you would need a huge green screen and a lot of room between you and the camera. Plus, using PORTRAIT mode allows you to take up less space on the virtual digital stage. Of course, the more I shrink myself on the landscape digital stage the less real estate I take up on the background which would allow for more people to show up in the video or like you do to double or triple my presence on a presentation with different instruments. Anyhow, I put up a trial run on this technique and it works out pretty good. So, I will send you a link when I make my first real presentation. I am going to sing "When We All Get To Heaven". I found a couple of digital virtual stages similar to yours on a website called digitial juice which I paid for. So, when you see my first video the stage will look similar to yours. I hear comments both ways. I can see why it's not for everyone considering the way I do most of my other songs. But I suppose it's a carry over from my earlier secular days. However, these days are far better than those were and most of my music these days is much gentler!

Romans 3:23, KJV: For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; So I try not to judge those who sin differently than me and I thank God for His amazing grace, or we'd all be in big trouble! Love you my friend and love is the most important part of Jesus teaching. Jesus fulfilled the old law and gave us a New testament so we are no longer bound by the old law thankfully, because some of those old ways of looking at thing were quite harsh (cutting off the hand of a thief, stoning prostitutes and many other things we no longer do), unlike what Jesus taught. So for me, I choose Jesus way of looking at things. Love and understanding would go a long way towards healing the ills of the world we now live in. No two people will ever agree on everything so for me, I try to let God do the Judgin'. I just play the music that points toward Him even tho there are times I'm criticized for how I do it. But I will continue and do the best I can. Hopefully you can just enjoy the music and the messages the songs contained and not let the presentation get in the way of the message. We are only human.
@ BenjaminHenry As I was praying tonight, I felt lead by the Lord to tell you that I was raised very devout Pentecostal, & have lived for Jesus all my life. If you know anything about Pentecost, you know that everything but fresh air was considered a sin many years ago. As for women wearing pants, don’t you think it would be more decent if a woman is cleaning out a flower bed in her yard, & bending over, to have something on that covers her, than to bend over in a dress or skirt & revealing herself to everyone that passes by? Also, because of Jesus Christ, we’re no longer under the Law, but we’re in the dispensation of Grace, & not because Jesus did away with the Law, but He came to fulfill the Law! We can dress up the outside of our bodies & look very Holy, but what’s in the heart? Jesus looks at our heart more than our appearance. Imagine yourself wearing Women’s pants or leggings; do you think you would look manly? Personally, I would never wear pants to God’s House, because to me that’s Holy Ground, that’s my own conviction, but when friends get together like in this beautiful song, there’s nothing wrong with being casually dressed. If I even remotely thought that by wearing pants that they would cost me my soul; No, I wouldn’t wear them, but if you Read Corinthians, Paul makes the comment about women’s hair, men’s hair, mustaches & beards etc. & in closing he refers to things like that as ‘Customs’, Not Salvational Issues. Do I believe everything should be done decently and in order; absolutely, but Jesus Himself said, as for rules, “ you can strain at a gnat and swallow a camel.” This means that we shouldn’t focus just on the outside appearance, but more importantly, work on our hearts, and the fruit that we bear. Just remember that Jesus tells us that however we judge others, is how we will be judged. Matthew 7:1-3. However; Jesus did say that we can judge people by their actions, the life they live,or ( the fruit they bear.) First you are quoting the Old Testament Law when we now live in the dispensation of Grace. A woman is told not to wear that which pertains to a man in the verse you are referencing. Again, we are now under Grace but even if that were still so, you have to study the customs of dress from that time compared to this time. Men and women both wore robes. The cut and fit were different. Also, only the priests wore britches or pants. So by your way of judging, you aren’t allowed to wear britches either unless you are a Jewish Priest, performing your duties at the temple, which would include sacrificial offerings for sin. Here’s a modern day example for you. If I, as a man, were to put on a pair of Chic Jeans or a ladies pant suit, I would look anything but manly. Women’s pants are cut and styled differently from men’s pants. A great lesson was taught by the Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 11:14-16. He was teaching on the subject of hair length for men and women. Men:short hair. Women: long hair. The key is in verse 16. To clarify in plain language, Paul is teaching, if this upsets folks, we aren’t going to push the issue. It’s about different cultures and customs which l am not referencing. In other words, Brother Paul was much more concerned with folks being saved than he was about his own opinions about hair length. A deadly trap many Christians fall into is the straining at gnats and swallowing camels syndrome by focusing on things that don’t amount to a hill of beans instead of the most important work of winning souls and lovingly guiding new Christians to be loving and kind as our Precious Lord Jesus is. @@BirdYoumans My Dear Brother, please don’t let people like this bring you down. When Bob & I Pastored the Church for many years, we sang along with my Brother & our Children. Our Children played the instruments. Everyone in the church & visitors loved our singing, harmony & the music. But, there’s always going to be those few that don’t like anything about anything & all they want to do is complain & try to tear down what God blesses! You know in your heart that you love Jesus & that He loves you & has sent many to your channel that love you, Linda & your songs & beautiful singing! It’s really a shame that some people can be so unkind & critical! I really have to pray & not allow any root of bitterness in my heart!! I’m concerned about you & just wanted you to know that you just have to pray for people that come against you. That’s why we’re instructed to guard our heart!
