I mean there's no better pairing. It's been proven over and over that they will never find anyone even remotely close to each other.
@@laurensilvestro I think Louie legitimately had feelings for Blair, but probably not love. He seemed extremely sheltered in my opinion, and I think truly believed Blair loved him too. For a while. Then his mom picked up on Chuck & Blair, and told him to ditch her until it was too late to back out. I think if the video never dropped, he would’ve just married her in ignorance of her feelings for Chuck. He would’ve gone on believing she loved him, but because he knew the truth, he told her marriage was like a business. And now their relationship was all business, no love.
She wasn't sure if Louis and her were happy because she asked serena if they were after they got married, She had a motherly sense that Blair wasnt happy and that she was with the wrong man.
Blair had a breakdown before the wedding. Eleanor’s ex-husband, who later came out as gay, said she was the same way before their wedding. It made her mom realize she knew something was wrong but didn’t say anything.
I could argue that Chuck and Blair are one of the best written fictional couples of all time. Were they toxic, Yes. Did I love it? Yes. They were toxic excellence
What fictional couple isn’t toxic to be honest? Lmao. This is a 6 season, multiple episode drama. There has to be some excitement, emotional stakes, and a few villainous characters. At least they brought Chuck back from the dark side & evolved him. Not like Blair ended up with Chuck from S1 😊
Oh, and it's funny how Blair tells Chuck to find someone who will love him when we all know that if he had taken her advice, Blair would have pulled every dirty trick against the girl. She'd never let him be happy with someone else.
i watched all of season 5 and everytime there was a DAIR scene i would just minimize and go on fb till blair and dan scenes were over. CHUCK AND BLAIR FOREVER
The mum is the best chair shipper. Blair tried to marry like twice just to make jealous chuck jealous, trying to STILL hide the fact shes still in love w him and because of it we had to wait 6 seasons for THEIR marriage.
I always hated Louis. I hate Louis more and more everyday, it is even impossible to hate someone so much. But Dan isn't better than Louis. I hate Dan too. More than Louis.

But Chuck looked like a clown. Dan looks so much better in comparison.

Season 5 Blair was the most annoying Blair ever. She lost her spark with Louis and then she went through that bizarre phase when she started slumming it with Dan and his annoying hair. She definitely wasn't the Blair that I loved through seasons 1-4.
She went through a lot of stuff in this season. She lost her baby, married someone she didn't love. Dan was the one person as a friend for her that could really understand her. After going through downfalls and tragedies I can see why she wasn't like who she was back in the seasons prior.
I maintain that the only reason Blair dated Dan was that she had some weird form of Stockholm Syndrome. He isolated her from everyone else and convinced her that he was the only one that could understand what she was going through. I'm also team Dan was a sociopath and should have been locked up. But that's just me.
blair and chuck will end up married when the series is over. there have been a lot of other storylines, but i know my interest in gossip girl was captivated by the chuck and blair ones. the show built them on the concept of 'one true love', and that has to be tested by a bunch of other random romances to stretch the show. my apologies to humphrey, i hope the writers have got something good planned for him too.
iv'e recently just become a gossip girl fan and its all credit to this fictional couple i really couldnt beleive that i could love something that didnt exist in real life so much they are the embodiment of love they have been through it all and thats what true love is all about but id still continue to watch hoping that the writers would do us justice and they would end up with each other :)
lopido Seriously the only time Dair ever has chemistry is when they just stayed friends their "relationship" was a waste of time because Blair never even loved him and you think they got chemistry. He only had chemistry with Serena and don't be all "Chuck has been a total jerk for 90% of gossip girl" when your forgetting who GG really is just so he can be noticed. He hurt so many people way more than Chuck has. He spread rumors, he wrote a book about his friends which hurt them, he blamed Chuck for everything which was originally him just so Dan could have Blair for himself. Chuck may have been a total jerk 90% of the time, but Dan was a jerk in the last couple of seasons 100% of the time and Blair and Chuck have more chemistry than Dair will ever have.
Turns out in the end Dan knew that all along if you think about it because he was Gossip Girl. Because he knew she was writing about Chuck in her diary and he posted pages of it. Which makes it really creepy that he still wanted her to stay with him. Which makes Dan even extra creepy. Not that he wasn't creepy enough the main person he followed around was Serena.
I watched all of the older seasons of Gossip Girl when they came out, I was so obsessed. But now it's changed so much. Yes I still love it, but these episodes are so unreal. Blair would go to Chuck, but the writers are just trying to add suspense. They've changed her character- it's upsetting.

Well we got our answer from lastnights episode. I knew that she didn't "love" dan. There is no way she could ever love anyone but Chuck. Her and Chuck have such an intense love, but you could tell that she did have actual feelings for Dan though. Dan was just a phase like neon colored jeans but I think its safe to say that this relationship is over if you saw the sneak peak of next weeks episode.The finale is going to be outstanding! I will most deffinetley be watching season 6!

I always shipped them together. I wanted them together more than anything, and I never understood how Blair could walk away from that, no matter the cost. But I do now. I had my Chuck Blair relationship, and it made me realize the problem. They love each other, but they are not good for each other. They spent their lives tearing each other apart, and they both deserve better than that. As do I. I love that they ended up together in the end but having that relationship myself I wish they didnt. It's unhealthy. And walking away is the hardest thing, but it's what you have to do when you're here. A part of me will always hope that whenever I get married he will show up and say this to me as well, maybe he will, and if that happens I know what I will choose. The same thing Blair did. Except I'm hoping it'll work out for me.
efstorm Actually the reason she did this was not because they were in an unhealthy relationship but because of this all pact with God thing which was supposed to save Chuck in exchange of her keeping her vow to marry Louis. But yeah they were twisted and not good for each other at the beggening but they changed a lot throughout the series and in the end became very functional, supporting each other and pushing each other to be better.

Next time I watch this show (which I love) I'm skipping all of season 5 except for 5x24. But what I don't get is why in episode 24 of season 5 Blair said that she tried to KILL her love for chuck. My question is: WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU TRY TO KILL YOUR LOVE FOR SOMEONE. IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. But I don't think it's because of the accident.
She tried to kill her love for Chuck because she promised God to be with Louis and she couldnt love Chuck if she were to be with Louis which is heartbreaking
It was just extra writing to create another obstacle for the show to create more drama for Chuck and Blair but they get married in the end so the show clearly always meant to put Chuck and Blair together.

Eu gosto da amizade entre a Blair e o Dan, mas é só isso. Até porque o amor da Blair e do Chuck vem desde de a primeira temporada e fica mais forte cada vez.

I like Dan and Blair together if Chuck was never in the picture. He doesn't stand a chance with even a thought of Chuck in Blair's head. I do hope he finds someone awesome and him and Blair can still be friends
This is my favorite show and I absolutley admire blair but if she and dan get serious I will be the most pissed off fan ever! I am concluding that if Chuck and Blair don't end up together by the end of season five then I am going to stop watching the show! I want a love like Chuck and Blair and I can not bare to watch her love someone else!
