@BoherSamia That's because Dan only cared about himself, he was GG and blamed Chuck for everything because he was scared that Blair still loved him and he never apologized for it because he was never a mature man like Chuck turned into. Serena was the only one he apologized to because he knew that he loved her more or else he would have done the same thing with Blair
He so wants to say 'I love you' when she asks if that's all :'( If the writers can give us scenes like this, then they MUST know how perfect Chair are!
I love when Chuck says he's going to take care of himself, I burst into tears. He's come so far. He always wants Blair to be happy and he's doing that in a good way now.
Loved this scene. They always manage to have the best scenes. How anyone can say Dair beat this puzzles me. Blair and Dan have a nice friendship but they can never have this chemistry. He belongs with Serena and Chuck and Blair belong together without question. That Baby better be Chuck's or Gossip Girl has just screwed us all over again and I would feel I've wasted 5 years watching this show. Thanks for the up load, Watched this too many times already.

Chair is the best part of this show. Its the reason why I watch this show! Ed and Leighton's acting skills are so brilliant. Once season 6 is over, they will definatly be the element of the show that I will miss the most. Cross our fingers for a big chair wedding for the last epsiode of gossip girl!
It's so funny. Because the voiceover says the "the end feels just like the beginning" and they paralleled it to the scene that launched the beginning of their relationship when she asks him if "that's it ?" In the S2 finale before he finally tells her that he loves her to her asking "is that all ?"
Seriously, Chuck‘s character development brings me to tears. He’s come so far from who he was in season one. He loved Blair so much, he really made an effort to change and be a better man. Even if he couldn’t be with her, he still wanted to make her proud.
I am going to make this debate simple. Some of the best moments ( if not all of the best moments for me in GG) have been with Chuck & Blair. Their chemistry is so powerful -it is this which hooked me to GG. I don't get why anyone would even think there's another option for Blair besides Chuck. Even what went wrong between them in the past contributes to amazing heartfelt scenes like this one... If this were Dan what would he apologize for? "I'm sorry that I wrote we had fake sex on my failed novel"... I'm not saying by any means that the things Chuck has done to her are okay, but they both have done awful things to each other and they both (especially Chuck) have come a long way since.
Best scene this whole season, he has grown n mature in so many ways, you see on her face she wanted to melt in his arms n wanted him to say he love her....I honestly was hoping he would propose I'm pretty sure her answer is yes! This scene is just pure love. Ed's acting is impressive and suits perfectly with the scene and Leighton's reaction is quite delicate and sincere. A beautiful act from both so congrats. Chuck and Blair are meant to be together (married, parents and go on...)

@mimosacat she's never going to stop loving for him but he's like "it's okay" so basically he's telling her it's okay if she doesn't love him b/c he's not going to need her love to save him anymore since he's going to 'take care" of himself now. He was letting her go, fully letting her go, telling her it was okay for her to love her family more than him, and that he didn't need her to save him anymore. Chuck is maturing and wants to save himself, and not depend on others

@elehelen1 There was some kind of article/blog post that condemned the show's writers for putting Chuck and Blair back together over and over because of all of the stuff he did to her. It said that it set a bad example for the girls who watch Gossip Girl. I really, truly hope that the writers don't give in to criticism. Anyone smart enough to watch this show knows it's fiction. Chuck and Blair are college-aged, who doesn't play regrettable games in college. Here's to Chuck and Blair!
