These smart wifi plugs are game changing! Being able to control all types of devices (not just lights), especially using IFTTT, Alexa and Google home was super cool! What are your thoughts? Would you want technology like this to control all of your home electronics? Let me know.
This is the best purchase I’ve made by far. It was easy to set up and it’s super convenient. I have my living room lamp scheduled to come on before I come home, so I don’t walk into a dark house. My bedroom lamp is also scheduled, it’s great!👍
That’s so awesome. I use mine everyday for the exact same thing. Jejeje. I also use the scheduler to turn lights on and off when I’m out or away. I ❤️❤️❤️ them.
Arrived in good condition and brand new items. Works great with IOS and Android phones. The app interface is simple, the configuration is easy and connecting very fast.
Just making sure, so your phone is on 2.4Ghz and not 5.0? If it is, try this, completely uninstall the app on your device and then reinstall it. Jus abstract thinking, 1. Maybe they've updated and you're not getting it yet so uninstalling and reinstalling will force any update to auto-install with the new reinstall. 2. Could be a cache build up so uninstalling and reinstalling that will auto-clear that. Try that and let me know 🤓👍
So I have two smart plugs. And when I click the side button, it turns red. However, when I try charging a phone with either of them, or providing power for a tube light or anything else, nothing happens. The gosund socket turns on, but it seems as if there is no power coming out if them. I re-paired one of them, but still nothing. What is the reason? Is there any solution? Thanks!
I truly don’t know the answer to that one. Just know that these plugs act as on/off switch only for devices, that’s it. For instants, if you have a lamp plugged into the wall and you turn the lamp on, you can control that lamp turning on and off with this plug but that’s it. It does not do a two-step process of functionality. For example, there was one person who asked if he plugged his TV up to it would he be able to control his TV turning on and off, and then it turning on his cable box. The answer is no because it will only act as one power on/power off function. I hope that answer the question, but if it didn’t, know that you can reach out to me anytime. 🤓👍
You should be able to through the WiFi settings. For example with the Wi-Fi that we have through our cable company, they have an app and on the app I can switch between 5G and 2.4 GHz.
for anyone having issues after trying everything.. the device will ask to connect to a 2.4 wifi then initiate the pairing sequence.. one thing to make sure of is to enter the wifi password.. it will not remind you if you don't
Hi great question. Check the WiFi settings in your phone or device you are using to control the plugs. That’s where you will find the setting. For example, on my phone, guest is 2.4GHz and the other is 5Ghz. I set mine up using the guest log in. Typical your router is automatically set to 2.4GHz by default and can be switched to 5Ghz. Hope this helps. 😜👍🏼
@@OndaWire I have 4 Gosund wall switches that controls my outdoor lighting. Using the Gosund app, how do I set up automation to turn on / off the lights according to sunset and sunrise.
These only have one step access, meaning for a light switch if you leave the light on you can turn the lights on and off with this. I have them connected to a couple of lights throughout the house and our Christmas tree and Xmas lights outside. These act as a simple on off switch. When I connect it to my TV it will act as if I am plugging the TV into the wall or unplugging it. I hope that makes sense. I also have it plugged into a fan in my office but that only allows me to turn the fan power on and off it does not actually turn my fan on to make it start working. I have to do a second step for that with the remote control on the fan
@@OndaWire I was unable to to switch using wifi mesh. I activated my laptop's mobile hotspot, connected my phone to that wifi, and it worked beautifully.
