New mod to my 2010 Mustang. WM Garage Shifter (white madness garage). Feels very nice.. very premium. Awesome addition to any automatic car they make shifter conversion kits for www.wmgarage.com
Oh lord, I’m not sure. I know it was a tight fit. You’ll get an idea of what size hole when you strip the OD button out of the shifter. I’d go find out but I ain’t about to take that all part 😂
Has anyone else experience horrible transmission flares after disconnecting the sport shift (+\-) connector? I now have this issue after installing white madness shifter. I tried reinstalling and reconnecting the original shifter knob, but still have the same issue. It appears disconnecting the manual sport caused the transmission to go haywire.
I’m not sure on this. I don’t have that issue because I don’t have that selector. I guess make sure you connected the wires properly. Only had one extra wire and it was for overdrive I had to relocate my overdrive.
Take a flat head, carefully pry off the chrome bezel. Then work your way around the middle console, removing all bolts. Your plastic bezel around head unit also needs to come off
I was half asleep replying. 1) pop off the plastic bezel surrounding your head unit (radio) and the HVAC controls. Not hard, pops right off. 2) remove the bottom 2 bolts that hold the forward part of your middle console. 3) remove the chrome bezel surrounding your shifter 4) roll your drink carrier lid half way back so you can lift on the passenger side of the middle console and start popping it loose. It’s just clipped into place. 5) once you have it popped out, detach any wires that are connected for power if you have lighting or AC adapter. 6) keep in mind, when replacing your shifter.. if you have O/D on the knob, you’ll either have to go without the option OR, relocate it. We drilled a small hole just big enough on the side of the console next to the hand brake. Kind of a PITA to put the console back into place with the O/D button relocated there because of how short the cord is, but it’s worth it. As for the O/D button.. you’re gonna have to tear up the old shifter to remove it. So bow your head and say any last words as the remains will find a home in the trash can. I can say.. it’s totally worth it. I love the new shifter
