Hey Guys,
so I've been making this video for months. I started to edit this before the final episode, I had the musics, the ideas, everything. And after the last episode I created the most parts of this video, then I was never pleased enough with its ending.(Till tonight :D ) As you could see on my social media, I had some struggles and lacks of inspiration to finish it. And now I would like to thank for all the people who motivated me to make it done! THANK YOU!
There is a lot of work in it, I gave my heart for Daenerys Targaryen. She truly deserved better, and still can't get over with how the writers ended her story. Rest in peace our Queen!

Agreed, but even to do that they had to forget the earlier seasons where she went through worse and stayed sane. Thank you for pointing that out. She has been sane for 7 seasons and suddenly they claim she could be driven crazy. I question this-especially in the way they portrayed.

@@cristinaflorina9538 Even if she flipped out from pain and rage it wouldn't break her enough that she would ignore Cersei (which is what episode 5 portrayed her as doing in order to attack random peasants that never hurt her friend). People can loose it, but they often calm down afterwards and don't loose it in such a way that episode 5 style things are likely.

@@cristinaflorina9538 Robert literally started a war because of lyanna. He had rhaegars murdered children placed at his feet after he usurped the throne. One of which was an infant. Even Selmy said he would've killed Robert for that had he been there. Yet no one ever referred to Robert as mad and he did worse than dany imo. Same with aegon. He did the same if not worse and he went down in history as a conqueror. Dan and Dave recently saying they weren't equipped to write for the show especially the last seasons is so telling. She wasn't mad. She was written that way by 2 morons who didn't really know or care to know the lore and they were in too much of a rush to finish it. Therefore some of the best character arcs are destroyed. And they gave the actors too many liberties hence Arya getting every major kill the last few seasons. Let's just hope the Targ prequel stays faithful to the story.💯💯💯

@@pplr1 it can honestly be summed up by years of loss and I was totally ok w her going DRACARYS! I wouldn't call her mad. I'd say her arc was completely destroyed by the idiots GRRM gave the green light to. D&D. George is partially to blame too. That was his life's work. He wanted that big payola from HBO.

I loved the addition of Khal drogo and her son in the end. And also it makes it seem like Drogon who was named for her husband khal drogo in the end carried her off into the night lands to be with them. This was beautiful.

There is literally no evidence of her being "mad". Have an ego? Sure. Arrogant? At times yes. Brutal? When needed yes. But never against a single innocent person did she do harm. Her going mad the way it was shown was the greatest act of character assassination I've ever seen. As bad as arya coming from space to snipe the night king. Not even the cast believed it when they read it

@fake 1 Really man? more than once they compare her with her father. She crucified hundreds of people and fed her dragons with people. She provoked rebellions wherever she went with her dragons, burned the Kahles and affected the economy by abolishing slavery. And the worst of all, made a horde of barbarians invade a strange continent and burned a father with his son. You need more?

@fake 1 1. she believed whatever she chose to do was right and just. That's crazy and dangerous. 2. Dany always contradicted herself because she lost her old self as she was repeatedly met with disappoint throughout her story. She was taught that no matter how good her intentions, people only respond to fear. Jon helped her see another path, but the beheading of her friend was breaking point. Everytime she tried to be kind and good, someone loyal and loved by her paid the cost. So she decided to burn them all and officailly become mad

There is a prophecy about Daenerys in the books - To go north, you must go south. To reach the west, you must go east. Maybe to go east means that she will die and dragon will carry her body far away to the east, and the prophecy tells that when she goes west to conquer Westeros she will die... And her life is the price for house Targaryen to rule Westeros again Idk but your comment made me think about this Like in GoT Westeros is civilization, european kingdoms, full of people and life while the real east is black magic, red priests, Ashai, the land of shadows and other cursed mysterious empty cities, so maybe the east is symbolising death in Game of Thrones?

This is heart wrenching, I started game of thrones for daenerys, than I fell in love with the show, it's several complex characters and brilliant world building but dany remained as my favorite part of it all and now I had to see her journey end tragically, this video is a masterpiece you should've directed season 8

I absolutely loved this and I’m not joking when I say it was far better than the whole last season. The way u put it together, it made me forget that there was no development for her character to become the mad queen and that they totally destroyed her arc. She is one of the best fictional characters ever created and this video made me believe her mad queen transformation 1000% more than the last season did. Thank u so much for ur hard work ❤️

Demitriz Yeah lets say that’s the reason and that’s why even some actors are disappointed. But you’re right, it’s just me and let’s say a couple million other people who felt this season was not only rushed, they put the character development completely aside - not only for Daenerys.

Considering what she suffered: losing her best friend, two of her children, coming to honestly a strange country and having everyone hate her despite knowing how she has freed literally thousands of slaves and helped so many people, it will get to the point where she logically would feel that nothing she does will be good enough and the throne will make her lose everything. And because she’s losing everything, she thinks she might as well do anything to get the throne now because there is nothing left for her. It’s sad but I can understand why she would go mad with rage and frustration. I’m mainly upset to think about Essos and the disarray it will fall into once again now that she’s gone. It’s a depressing ending but not the worst.

I never liked the idea of the "mad queen" because I thought it was too cliche and predictable. This could have been a very different story of Daenerys overcoming her savage Targaryen history and her "mad" family genes. If GRRM always wanted it to be Bran, they could STILL have made a redemption story for Dany without turning her mad in two episodes, turning her into a tyrant, and then killing her off. I WASN'T BUYING IT.....and it made me furious that they would just throw her character under the bus like that. They tried to take down the most iconic character on the show, and ended up taking the whole show down with her.......However, I LOVE what you did with this video! I could tell you put so much effort and love into it, in order to try to make sense out of the disaster D & D made in episodes 5 & 6. The scenes you chose, the quotes/voice overs were so perfect. The music was so moving......And I especially loved the edits you made of Dany meeting Khal and her son in the afterlife: that way, her death didn't hurt so much because she found love and peace......I also really loved the last two quotes: "Her life has convinced her she was sent here to save us all" (Varys, I think), and, "How do you know she wasn't? (Tyrion)......Beautifully done....:)

Diamondsrfvr Yup! Also it was unnecessary to make her the “mad queen” when Cersei had been a great mad queen for SEASONS! I would’ve liked for King’s Landing to ring the bell and then Cersei blowing up the city with wildfire, attempting to blame Dany for it. The whole Dany burning the entire city while Cersei, who is the one she has a problem with, sat comfortably in the Red Keep made no sense to me

@@sophiag612 Exactly.....She wanted to kill Cersei for so many reasons, so why was she methodically killing everyone else, burning them street by street along the way? Why was she killing everyone BUT Cersei? The director and visual effects "made" her do this for 30-40 minutes. Emilia said, in a video interview, after her last day on set, that Daenerys feels this familiar feeling of anger, but she doesn't stop it, she lives in it and lets it go. She also said it was a combination of hurt and grief and not being good enough and being a failure. I get all of that, and I could see letting all of that rip in a short, sustained burst of fire and fury, BUT 40 MINUTES OF IT?? It will never make sense to me.....And I wonder how Emilia felt seeing 40 minutes of carnage, after her finely wrought, multi-emotional facial expressions atop Drogon, before burning the city. I don't know if the showrunners prepared her for that horrific sequence, or if it was just unleashed on her and everyone else in the cast.......I do have a feeling that D & D may have decided to switch the mad queen/bells/wildfire Cersei story line to Dany for shock value. There are videos about it that make a lot of sense.

People seem to fail to see that she didn't turn into the mad queen in 2 episodes... Yes, I do believe the last season was rushed, would have loved more episodes, but Ever since slaver's bay she showed small moments of madness, which is perfectly portraited in this video... Even the foreshadowing, the talk about "destiny", etc, it was all meant to come down to this end.

Her story just breaks my heart. I loved her so much. I really feel like she had to be stopped, but it hurts regardless. Because as evil as she was becoming, out of and after all the harm that had been done to her, she still wanted to be good. She was wrong in her ways, perhaps, especially at the end, but in her heart she really wanted to be good. I personally don't feel that her fate was sealed based on her family ancestry. It was, to me, just a result of everything that happened to her, the people she loved and trust, and everything around her in general. She was betrayed so many times, her only real loyal subjects killed, some in front of her, her sons murdered in cold blood as she watched helplessly. Anybody living her life -whatever family name- they probably would not have made it this far, especially being in the position of power that she held. I feel like she went so much farther than anyone in her shoes ever could. But you can only take so much. At some point, we all break and lose control.

Unlike most people here it seems, I actually liked the ‘Mad Queen’ story line. I enjoy seeing narratives where heroes are actually HUMAN, and they act like humans. She spent her life being told how good she was, and at the beginning, she was always right. So naturally, she began to believe that all the talk of her being a ‘Saviour’ and ‘sent by the gods’ that so many people seemed to believe. Whenever anything went wrong that wasn’t planned by her, it was confirmation for her ego. Any time something she planned went wrong, she believed it was because of the incompetence of her friends and allies. So she ends up believing that she’s the only ‘right and just’ person in the world, and after losing two of her three dragons, and so many friends along the way, she snaps and slaughters a city. She breaks her promise to everyone who served her. “I will not be queen of the ashes” Did the show do this well? HA! Absolutely not! But was the basic concept any good? Definitely. Blood doesn’t mean that you’re fit to rule, and the Targaryen Dynasty doesn’t belong in the new world. That’s just my opinion, though.

It is so sad what her addiction for the throne made of her. She had a heart of gold but it got lost somehow. You can compare it with lord of the rings, the throne is nothing other that the ring: its full of power, and only made for them who, like frodo, jon snow or bran, are not intrested in it. Only they can stand it. But deanerys was so small, so poor at the beginning and rose so high, and she got so much power. That's what killed her. She allways dreamed of having this power, she was born to be a queen. But somehow she became mad like gollum, losing herself and becoming a monster. It's a very sad story.

When someone is praised endlessly for every decision they take and is put on a pedestal higher than lives of men and women, what results is a huge emptiness is the hearts of such people. That's what happened to Dany, she forgot her principles because she was busy taking the seven kingdoms. Even Harvey Dent said "You either die a *HERO* , or live long enough to see yourself become the *VILLAIN* .

ANIME FREAK What happened to Dany is called bad writing. She was raised without parents in exile. After the man that protected her and her brother had died (Dany was like 6), their servants robbed them and kicked them out of the only home she had ever known. She lived her childhood fearing that some assains are about to kill her at any moment. She was constatly mocked and abused by Viserys. Viserys tried to rape her the night before her wedding because it was his “right”. She was sold of to a man that was seventeen years older than her. She was raped, she had to go through a labor without any midwives, she lost her child and husband, she almost starved to death in the Red Waste, her best-friend died in her arms in the said place because of starvation. All of these happened to her in just 14 years and she had shown no signs of madness. But all of a sudden she goes mad because some bells triggered her? That’s just bad writing.

Absolutely love this tribute to Daenerys. She is an amazing complex character both in the books and show, I don’t agree with dark!dany as I always cheered for her and saw her differently too most, I didn’t find s8 convincing enough to bring her as some evil tyrant in just two episodes. I’ll wait for the books to see how GRRM intends to truly finish the series as d&d are absolute rubbish writers. I will love my Dragon Queen forever

They brought dragon 🔥 and destruction on them self they thought that Cercei could protect them she couldn't even protect her own children not mention she is the reason her last kid killed him self. Maybe Starks got Crown but Daenerys got something more then Crown she got respect and love of a life time she will always be my Queen. I believe the scene where the dragon burns the Iron Throne can be interpreted multiple ways but I would like to believe it’s a statement that if Danny doesn’t get the throne no one else will .

I believe Drogon was venting his anger at something other than Jon, because he knew Jon had Targaryan blood. Initially, it was the throne because it stood there among the rubble, and then when it didn't show any sign of damage from dragon fire, it became the focal point of his anger. You can see he stops and then renews his efforts in a more intense way than before, until the throne is no more.

Very rarely does something move me to tears but when you included her meeting Khal Drogo in the house of the undying... I couldn’t stop the tears 😭 and Drogon picking up his mother and flying away with her body... my tear ducts aren’t strong enough for this. Amazing video!

You pieced together an understandable story of her life and the tragedy of her journey and end in a believable and poignant way. Much better storytelling than the shows last season! The way that her vision in the house of the undying ties into her actual death was completely unforeseen to me, when she tells Drogo that she doesn't know if she's dead or not. It makes it seem like she rejoins Drogo, her true love, in death. Bravo to you for piecing together Danaery's fractured, untold story

daenerys targaryen didn't deserve that ending. It is still difficult for me to understand how they could give him such an absurd ending. in two chapters they wanted to drive her crazy. She lost her dragons, her friend, her most faithful ally and friend, they betrayed her, she lost love. season eight is a mockery for every game of thrones fan.

if they really wanted Dany end up with insanity, they should've at least took their time and presented enough plots which would convince the audience. even the scene bran becoming the king seemed placid, it wasn't expected but not surprising though. i’m comfortable being sansa as the queen of the north, given she's a stark, but jon’s exile, and and arya’s sea quest? it doesn't make sense. tbh the last episodes of the season 8 didn't make any sense to me after watching them all.

Masterpiece! I didn't even feel it was 11 minutes. I like how you devided in different parts and the ways it was made was so smooth! As for her story. I can't say that her becoming "the mad queen" was a wrong idea but the way it was done... I didn't like it it all all. Too rushed like the whole season. I think they should have left the original 10 minutes at least. And with a lot of changes that I don't want to write now, but I think you feel the same. Anyway, great video again, you did her immense justice!

She was by far my favorite character, but I’m not mad because she’s dead, actually I would have loved to see her slowly turn mad, to see her become what she wanted to defeat so bad and to see her realise that she became part of the wheel she tried so desperately to destroy. She was and still is one of the best fictional characters ever but that was way too rushed and way to unworthy for such a complex and great character as Danaerys.

It looks like they spent so much to lead her to where she was in the end and when they were almost there they said "ok, this season only has 6 episodes, let's get it over with". It’s exactly the video said, it was foreshadowed, no question, but that isn’t what character development means. These characters were always so realistic, but I felt like u said, as if I was reading a Fanfic written by a Stark-Lover (I don’t hate the Starks, I just think this ending is so damn biased towards them)

I felt the ending was brilliant. The biggest discussion I've seen lately is the idea of morally grey. If you followed the villain from his/her point of view, would he/she still be the villain? Well Game of Thrones made us love a villain. We were so busy chattering and planning how we thought everything would play out. Now everyone is mad because GOT didn't follow through with the ending we imagined instead of taking and accepting the story they wrote. They made us love a villain and we hate them for it.

Rhema Joy Daenerys really is one of GRRMs greatest creations - she’s quite possibly the most complex character I’ve ever seen in literature. I wouldn’t go so far as to call her a villain. More of an anti-hero, or a tragic hero. In her mind, she’s making a better future for all, and will do anything to achieve it. Even horrible things. And they made us love her, even her dark sides. That’s not something easily done. I just wished they’d taken more time to build it up, not in 2 episodes but maybe another season or two (not just “foreshadowing”) because then I feel the ending would’ve been the greatest thing in television history. Instead, they rushed it. That’s the only reason the show fell apart.

@@biacrepaldi4681 Agreed. I thought about it after all was said and done and Yea, I don't have a problem with the storyline but the lack of development into where she was at the end. I will say that some of the resolutions, like Arya killing the Knight King were hinted at and foreshadowed, I think we were too busy creating our own theories that we may have missed it. Arya was meant to shut those blue eyes way back in season one when the red lady told her. And even early in Arya's training she was learning how to be stealthy and agile. Everything she learned from the sword fighting to the faceless men brought her to this. I think that we were just so determined for it to end the way we all built it in our heads, that we somehow felt jilted.

I loved the ending afterwards, when you realize what Jon did was for his family and how he was willing to die once again for it ( he didn’t run when Drogon came he stood his ground and accepted his faith ). There was no tacky narration that you usually find in fan-produced videos, just a story told by the CHARACTERS THEMSELVES!!! Beyond that, the video-creator's use of clips from the show provide clearer perspective on what was possibly going on in Daenerys' mind when she flipped the script and changed from the benevolent Breaker of Chains to the Dragon Queen who destroyed Kings Landing! Justice for Rhaegar, for Elia, for Little Egg and Rhaenys. For Lyanna. For Jon's lost childhood. For Ned Stark. For little Viserys, who's mind broke after he sold his mother's crown. For Oberyn.
