I personally think that Marisa’s “WHERE ARE YOU GOING?” punch to the head is the most satisfying thing to hit in any fighting game, because damn that shit looks like murder.
punch in the back of the head is banned in boxing and mma. it's very dangerous and can leave you with very very bad side effects. that's why it felt brutal. pinned you from above and beat the shit out of the back of your head. damn
Also for those who don't know. There is a practical reason for Max to go into world tour and get max rank with his chosen character: You unlock their Alt Costume and all the colors for free if you do so.

It’s so cool to see Max actively getting better at Marisa over the course of these videos - not just in terms of combos getting optimized (I am learning just how far I have to go in that department) but also understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the character.
The second I saw Zangief and then I saw who has the Zangief I'm like yeah this is going to be a Legendary duel its SO good to see some of the existing warriors come back to fight some of the fascinating newcomers like Marisa its one of the things that makes this game truly great the fascinating newcomers some of the best I've seen in Street Fighter!
I feel like Marisa is now the most entertaining character to watch in Street Fighter. Her giving off "Fear me!" vibes is so cool, reminds me of Broly from DBFZ and how satisfying both of their moves are. I LOVE IT!!!
Just keep up in playing and you'll get better eventually Git gud but most importantly have fun, fighting games are supposed to make you feel cool after all
I used to think I was shit. It’s all just a mental thing lol. Everything these guys are doing is something you can do if you put in the time I’m now doing combos I though were impossible, winning games I thought I wouldn’t win, and doing things I never thought I could. Just keep at it :)

Snakeeyez recorded this same fight. I didn't know that the players can get different stages from each other. It's insane to see the same fight play out on completely different stages.
I was an expert at Street Fighter right up to SFIV. Couldn't really get into SFV, but thought I would try 6. I've definitely lost my mojo. As much as I love this game I'm absolute dog shit at it! 😂 I'm 43 now and my reflexes have gone. Which is strange as I'm still really good with FPS titles. I'm going to keep practising and fingers 🤞 I get some of my mojo back. It impresses me with how good people are now at fighting games. Great vid as always 👍
I'm 41, and the last SF game I played regularly was SF Alpha 2 on SNES lol. I did play SF5, I actually bought it after that long hiatus from the Alphas time. I sucked at SF5, with every single characters I tried (not all of them though, but I did try about half the roster). I decided to try SF6 again since the last time I did "commit" to SF5 for about a period of 1 month was maybe 3 years ago at this point. So it's another learning process. However, SF6 is MUCH better at _teaching_ than any other fighting games I've ever attempted to play, ever. Not just the SF franchise but literally any fighting game that comes to mind does NOT come anywhere close to how much this game offers the player everything they need to learn how to play, not just the basics but some neat intermediate level mechanics as well. I'm having a blast for now in the World Tour mode, it's the best in-depth Tutorial mode any fighting game has ever had, ever. In the history of fighting games, period. It's that simple. It's a glorified, very well made and thought-out learning zone. If you have a hard time with jumping in immediately in Arcade mode, not to mention maybe having a hard time with the Classic controls scheme then I highly, HIGHLY recommend you spend time in World Tour, learn there, progress at your own pace and have fun. Maybe also try the Modern controls scheme instead at first, for a time it will help get back 'into it' so to speak; then switch to Classic when you feel ready for it. It's a fun mode, it helps learning the game mechanics; it's not just there for the appearance. It's literally the best Tutorial the entire fighting games genera has ever gotten.
I just noticed - Zangief is leaving permanent damage in the ground after his supers. It's not fading away like some visual effect, that gigachad is actually cratering the earth with your skull. Edit: oh my god, it's all his grabs. Or at least his EX one. Zangief got more love than the past decades right now.
Marisa's attack animations are great. Every move looks like it REALLY REALLY hurts! 14:05 Especially that donkey punch into the ground. That looks like a jaw and skull breaking hit.
I have found really good matches lately even if I lose ill still rematch ive found a few that rinse and repeat moves over and over again I just automatically leave on those do my best to not get mad. My first actual fighting game to go online against real ppl. Usually just vs friends
I picked up Marissa, cause I was looking for someone else to play aside from Luke and Ryu, and Jeeeesas Croist Marissa is basically what I felt when I started landing her combos. The goddamn grab you do from Scutum feels amazing even after I landed it 100 times.
I love Marisa's normal Level 3. Just the way she looms over the opponent with that cocky smile that all but says "here's where the pain starts". (And you can't tell me that Ryu's reaction to that fist being drawn back isn't hilarious.)
Zangief & Marisa fights are my top tier fights. Just seeing big strong man vs big strong woman alone is just satisfying to watch. The 2 are a match made in heaven
Never have i loved a new SF character than marisa, i'm a chun main trying to get to the plat but i'm def gonna try and git gud with marisa myself. she's too fucking awesome
If you play Lili, her condor moves will be multi hit with wind stacks. Try to create some distance to gain some and you'll blow straight pass her armor. When you knock her down or command grab her, get those stacks back
Very good Marisa Online Matches Max. Defo a really interesting Gief Match-up against one of the Best Gief Players around, he made Gief look so safe tho very scary indeed.
Zangeif with drive meter is just terrifying to me. Even when he's in burnout, he's SUPER dangerous, but when he can rush you it is a legitimate brown pants moment.
The thing about Snake's Zangief is he makes liberal use of the Drive Gauge (especially Drive Rushes) to turn Gief from a plodding grappler into a true rushdown threat. Never thought I'd see the day where Zangief thrives even at mid-range. However, his Drive Gauge management is really rough because of it, so we'll see if other players will learn to exploit that.
Apart from a couple of characters, I'm really impressed at how balanced the game is currently. There's no individual character that is way better than everyone else.
