anngab i dont think so. When ned went off to war, it was benjen who rulled the north. After theons betrayal it would have been jon who would have went north to take winterfell back and stayed there till the war was over.

Amando but that was different as when ned went off the next stark in line of succession would be benjen, jon would have taken more of role similar to theon in the war of the 5 kings

The Name's Revan, Darth Revan in the Books the nights watch kill him bc he wanted to take men to winterfell to rescue “Arya” from Ramsey (this was actually jeyne Poole but Jon didn’t know that he thought it actually was his sister.) so Jon did die for love of his sister, loyalty to his family. Also in the books Robb doesn’t really marry jeyne westerling (talisa) for love he marrieds her bc he was 16 and slept with her in moment of weakness and married her for “honor” but I always thought it had more to do with the fact he was afraid of her possibly being pregnant and he didn’t want his frey wife to treat his “Bastard” child the same way his mother treated Jon so Robb tried to do better then Ned. And in a way he died for his love of his brother. So both Jon and Robb died as a result of their love and loyalty to their family not women they barely knew.

Renagade2332 yup....benjen and robb (and ned slightly but he had to act differently so robert baratheon wouldnt catch on that jon isnt eddards son) are the only starks to treat jon like an equal...granted with benjen that may be because he may have known his identidy, and robb because...they are badically brothers even if one isnt his legitimite brother...hell if you believe theories then robb cared so much that he legitimised jon and made him his 'heir' in his will

I mean book wise that DEFINITELY happened. But show wise they never brought it up. It would have easily made the whole "Jon Snow King in the North" thing easier to swallow.
