''I had a choice: Keep my crown or protect the North. I chose the North.'' Thanks for watching. * Jon Snow Tribute #JonSnow * Show: #GameofThrones Music: Twelve Titans Music - Lift Your Eyes
Slevin: I totally agree with you! I have all the seasons, and Jon will always be the true King! I got attached to several of the characters~I guess that's what makes a series so great~you become so engrossed in every episode. They are so real~wish it didn't have to end. The finale was too short.
@@bagusemiral4034 : Yes, unfortunately. I agree. I haven't read the books, but I was afraid the writers were going to pull a "Stephen King" and kill the hero~which of course was Jon~so I almost didn't watch the last season. I was very disappointed too, but I am glad I watched it. It is DEFINATELY my favorite series! Long live the true King!! What incredible, talented actors and actresses!!
@@francesmandeville5199 yeah final outcome about dany was good but still man, bran king and arya killing the night king just like that. I really hate the ending.
@@klaudiokwan9247 yeah man I had a whole lot of fun watching it but last season was shit, if people are saying that it was perfect then clearly they're casuals who doesn't know anything about it😭😭😭. I just d&d. They ruined got.
I feel sick as well , 8 years spent reading 8 books and watching the show as well , to end up with this empty and sad feeling Because of dumb and dumber HORRIBLE writing !
Qhorin Halfhand's words were true after all: "And know this, boy... your death will be a gift for them south of the Wall. They'll never know what you've done. They'll never know how you died. They won't even know your damn name, but they'll be alive because some nameless bastard north of the Wall gave his life for theirs.", in a manner of speaking of course.
Jon was a king who never cared to rule 7 damn kingdoms ever, but he was a true king in the North when he had to be and he was brave in time of need. Saved so many lives at the own risk of his life. A protector is what makes a good king!
I still cant believe the ending. Jon Snow is the rightful king of the 7 kingdoms, protector of the realm, because its his birth right n because no one has more honour. Jon Snow ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
ok. the Night's watch oaths are for life. ie if the Person dies he is released from how vows 'even if he is resurrected'. Claim to the throne also dies when the person dies, Jon Snow or Aegon Targaryen had a claim to the throne and he died so his claim is dead 'even if he is resurrected'.
Honorable man, and King, all the way to the end, just like is uncle and Lord Eddard Stark. Aegon Targaryen aka Jon Snow, the one true King of the Seven Kingdoms and the real Shield that guards the Realms of Men. Long live the King, Long live Aegon Targaryen aka Jon Snow.
Goosebumps!!! If only we had a couple more seasons to flesh the story out a little better. But GoT is still the best TV show ever made. Can not wait for Fire&Blood.
As mad as I am about him not taking the thrown, Jon is above all of that. He went beyond the walls of the watch because he’s the fiercest warrior. Their world needed fighters of all evils. Jon knows the most mysterious evils that no one dares to seek. He will still reign supreme, even without the title of the king.

The choices one makes as a LEADER are never easy, or Simple. Jon realized this thanks to his time in the Knight's Watch. The knowledge and experience forced him to pay heavy tolls. Ygritte, Mance Raider, All the people he tried to save, Daenerys, HIS OWN LIFE! Yet despite all of that, he was a better man because of it.
I use to watch Jon Snow tributes all the time, now this is the first I've watched one since the end of the show. What they did with Jon and how it ended in general made Jon's whole story depressing and pointless to me and as such the whole show is tainted by that for me. Bran being king, Sansa being queen in the north, this whole shitty democracy king voting. Its all shit.
I kind of disagree with your opinion in terms of how the showrunners handled Jon Snow. I was glad that despite the shortcomings of the last season, they at least were consistent with how they portrayed the story's main character. I think it was fairly obvious for anyone watching since season 1 who Jon Snow was meant to be in the story: he's your classic sacrificial hero. The show told you this in big letters on the first episode when Jon takes himself out of the equation so that his siblings can keep the direwolves. And throughout the seasons that followed Jon remained the most consistent of characters: the brave man with strong convictions, willing to be selfless for the greater good. That his final pivotal act is one that costs him his love, his family, his honor (in his eyes) but all in the name of saving the realms of men -- well that is always how the denouement of Jon's story was going to go. Did Jon deserve better? Obviously, he did. He deserved better from the moment he was born (birth right) and he definitely deserved better just on personal merit but that was not his destiny. Rhaegar sought him to fulfill a prophecy, Jon the "prince that was promised" was always meant to be a sacrificial hero, the savior. Saviors and sacrificial heroes usually end up dead and in a way that is what happened to Jon. He was my favorite character and I wanted more for him but I take solace in knowing that regardless of all the crap his character went through, Jon remained Jon in essence from beginning to end. Him and Ned Stark were the only decent main players in the story.
Daniela Montano you're right he fought for greater good, that is what I mean about them ruining him. In the end he did do the right thing but all of his lines about how Danerys was his queen and being blindly loyal became so stupid. By the time he finally killed her, I didn't even care anymore. Also all the "I don't want to be king." Shit just became unbearable after a certain point, he keeps ending up in positions of power based on his success and character but then continues to brood and it just started to become ridiculous. Also I would say Robb was also a decent main player. Honestly I think he's a much better character than Jon.
Sending jon snow was a shot decision as there was no point of existence of night's watch. IT was there to protect the realm from white walkers and wildling. So it's just don't make sense at all. Instead of that they should have made him sail with his beloved sister.
One often overlooked part of the series and this video is Ned saying, “Your son has no claim to the throne,” just after his sister told him that Jon’s name is Aegon Targaryen 🥺🐺 You could see how much he was holding back… I’m glad that Jon was raised by Ned and was able to take on on his best qualities 💪 🐺 ❄️ 🌬️ 🗡️ 🛡️ 🐦⬛ 🐉 🔥 👑 ⬆️
How could they ruin his character arc just because they wanted to do the unexpected good lord 😭😭😭 i feel so sad what happened to jon snow's character, he was robbed from the role of prince that was promised. I can only imagine how kit harington felt about what happened to the character that he gave life to. This edit is superb, it made my heart swell ngl
I like to pretend that the show ended after season six. I’ve never seen such an extreme drop in quality of writing quite like what happened with this show.
Don't even know where to begin with this show. Game of Thrones changed the way I watch television forever. I feel like I'm the only one in the world that loved Season 8 EXCEPT that last episode... That final episode was more disappointing than I can express in words... And it is the most important because it is the ending. How do you have such a PHENOMENAL show be so strong for EVERY SINGLE SEASON, then fail so badly on THE VERY LAST EPISODE? (My opinion.) Despite that, GoT is still my favorite show of all time and is like nothing I've ever experienced on the television screen or even on the movie screen for that matter (to some extent). It was truly a spectacular show on many levels and for many reasons. Unfortunately, I feel like I'll always be sick about how they decided to end it... I mean, why even bring the great Jon Snow back to life? Dang.......
The ending was perfect. If you think about it, the Game of Thrones world is at peace, a good king rules the seven kingdom. Jon Snow's job is done. He deserves to be King but he is much more than that.
Marina DiBona he should have remain king in the north. If not in 7 kingdoms. Brandon could rule the other seven kingdoms and Tyrion as her hand and Sansa as Jon hand.
All these classic and beautiful videos remind us of how great this series was. It was just did dirty by D&D to let it end the way that it did. They can't be rewarded for such a disappointing ending. It still hurts to have been so betrayed...
When I watch something like this I feel like there's a chapter that has not been told yet. Where the King would return to Westeros to save it from another menace. Come back in a few years in a mini-series form.
I think they ended right with Jon. He’s a warrior that wants to protect & fight for the people on the field of battle, not behind the walls of the Capital. He’s right where he needs to be
David Farmer but he's not fighting for anyone now. The wildings have no enemies and they are essentially just going back to how everything was. Nothing has changed lol in reality the 7 kingdoms are not even the seven kingdoms anymore.
Mafia Jon should have become the king in the north. Bran as king of 6 kingdoms and Sansa as his hand. It would have been perfect ending because Jon don’t like south and he consider north as his home.
Thank you both for saying this. I've been saying this since the final episode, the moment Bran said "why do you think I came all this way?" Bran outed himself with that statement. He knew everything was going to happen exactly as it did, allowing millions of people to die all so he could become king. It's been this long since the show ended and these two comments are the first two I've ever seen anyone else say Bran was the villain.
John Park because it’s fucking idiotic. Bran can’t see the future. He didn’t know the shit that was going to happen before it happened. He didn’t know shit about what was going to happen until it happened.
Okay but does that scene with Ned feel different after watching this. The way he looks up at the throne is like someone who is tired of their own lies and just wants the secret revealed.
Ivan. Istighfar 100x. No push up though. Just ginga for a week. For gossiping in your head that I'm cruel to the king while I'm still luving him. Fair, that is.
But again if the person ur clowning doesn’t like it respect it because that’s apart of making ur mind a better place to live sometimes because if the devil lives in ur thoughts then u must conquer ur stupidity with whatever makes u better for me it’s my faith family and code which is a blanket statement for a lot things that coincide with what is right not because someone else tells me it’s right but what my soul says is right and I’ll always listen to it because it never fails me regardless of the road it takes me down I keep my faith in and it push’s me mentally spiritually and physically and it starts with god first that’s my code u can do something different with urs if ur not religious but for me it’s god
Relentless I enjoy the clown I reveal in it I say this clowning keeps ur wit sharp because if ur mind is a sword then u must keep it strong by using it how ever I think a lot and I talk a lot of shit my sword cuts wind!
This is a great video made ask the question why the fuck didn't Ned Stark bring in Jon as the rightful heir of the Seven Kingdoms instead of sending a letter to Stannis they would've backed him since they hated the Lannisters who would've ever questioned Eddards honor
Jon Snow is the Heir to the Iron throne, I feel like Arya or Tyrion should have spoken up during the trial to declare a king saying that Jon Snows really the Trueborn son of Lyanna Stark and Rhegar Targeryan. Could have brought Jon to trial since he did kill the queen, but they would also need to pardon him for him to be king. He could have always brought up how Jaime Lannister was pardoned for killing Aerys since he was mad and that Daenerys had become mad. Tyrion could have told them it was Jon that lead the armies of Men against the Night King, not the Dornish, Not the wester lords, not the stormlords nor the reach. And if they have a problem pardoning him then he could declare trial by combat. If he lived and pressed his claim, he has the North who he is TECHNICALLY their Lord and Warden and the Knight of the Vale. Tyrion could easily declare for him as well and Gendry would most likely declare for him. Davos could also bring up the fact if any of them have trouble believing hes Rhegars that hes the Prince who was promised, Born amongst Smoke and salt under a bleeding star, and that his is the song of Ice and Fire. I'm sure hes heard some of melisandre preachings. Bran can confirm since hes seen the past, saying that he was born After the fires of the rebellion smoke and salt being the fires dying and the tears being shed, and the bleeding star could be Arthur Dayne. He can say that he is the PROMISED prince because his Mother asked Ned Stark to Promise her to always protect him and that The reason he is the song of ice and fire is because His mother is of the North and his Father is of the Dragon, and that they have also technically fulfilled the pact of ice and fire. If any have trouble believing hes trueborn then Sam can whip out the High Septons journal. If they release Jon then Sansa cannot declare the north Free and independent because he is still Lord of Winterfell but if he ascends the throne he can name her as Lord. And of course they gotta do a scene where they all declare him king of the seven kingdoms.
We don't like the ending truly because deep down we know the truth: it reminded us that men aren't good. Great endings are for fantasies. Look at our history, every honorable man was betrayed by his own. This show decided to be real, and that's a tough pill to swallow. I for one would've never been satisfied with a Disney-like Jon and Danny ruling together.
How could hbo destory such a Great character thats actually impossible.. But somehow they did it. Game of Thrones could be the best Show of all Time EASILY!!!
No, Jaime, you got wrong. He's not a friend, yet. But eventually he'll be. You're the king of the north! How come you don't know who the dead army are?? OMG. -sigh- Add your istighfar 10x! And push up 5000x.
what they did to him is just stupid he deserved better they used him and throw him away like he was nothing and didn't just save the city from being burned down
All of this means nothing, jons whole story...season 8 ruined all the character developments, n straight disregarded plot points. Every build up since episode 1, all meant nothing in the end. We arent mad, just disappointed.
