I had a 9400 just like yours with a 6 row. It would walk on with it but I didn't have any help and only one 350 bushel truck so I sold my grain equipment and leased out the land. I'm better off I guess and don't really miss it, especially the work.
You could always try a hydraulically driven grain cart instead of PTO driven but I have a feeling you would absolutely hate the draw backs of the hydraulically driven auger.
My farmer tried to buy an 8/15 row Kinze but it was too expensive. He found a 12/23 row with a 4840 Deere to pull it for less money. It has worked fine for him.
I’m in the same boat. Love kinze and wanted a split row planter just could never justify it. This is my second year with it and Ended up with a 1780 12/23 for 1/3 of the cost and works awesome. Just not great transport width but always gotta pick your battles
@@DylanJoyceFarms that would be a ride😂 not sure if wanna drive 20 hours for a planter lol. Maybe further now with the devastation in the mountains. I guarantee it would be cheaper than they are around here though
Man yeah, that was awesome to be able to help someone out, and compare the two headers again!! Looks and sounds like things went well!! I can relate on the weed situation and lack of attention they gave to them. The canola looks great coming up, can't wait to follow along with that progress!! So , you know me....full of questions 😂😂 What is the main purpose of the "slow down" kits you spoke of on the 8 row. I may have missed it, but curious. Seems that 8 row did really make up some ground and time this season!! Hope things are going well with bean harvest and look fwd to seeing how that goes!! Thank you for bringing us along!! 😁😁👌🏻👌🏻🌽🌽🚜🚜🌱🌱🌱
Supposedly, the slow down kit is supposed to help with header loss. In theory, moving the ears slower keeps them from shelling on the header and reduce trash intake. What I've seen is it causes a bottleneck at the feederhouse and we still take in the same amount of stalk into the combine. Aftermarket solution to a problem that doesn't exist in my opinion.
Hey Dylan I got a 9500 jd combine that won't start. New batteries New starter, relays behind batteries New. Did have power in cab now I don't. Thought you might could help me out.

I think the reason Calmer thinks a deere heads chains run too fast is he runs IH and the rolls haul ass on those so if he tried to match an IH heads speed they would be going to fast😆 Id rather not have all the butt shell, who cares if the stalks get shredded up better, I like to leave em long myself.
