You know that moment when your writting a test in school and suddenly the teacher says 5 more min and you start your conclusion writting at twice the speed .... well thats how the last episode felt.

Season 8 can be summarized into two words -> premature ejaculation

So Star Wars not only ruined itself, it also ruined GOT.

To be fair David Benioff also wrote Troy which wasn't bad, mostly because Homer finished the Illiad in time for him to have source material.

Dany might have forgotten about the iron fleet but I wish I could forget this season.

Seasons 1-4: BEST. SHOW. EVER. Seasons 5-7: Writing quality deteriorates slightly, Still enjoyable as hell Season 8: *WHY DO YOU THINK I CAME ALL THIS WAY*

I hope they lose their Star Wars deal because of this.

They subverted expectations by building up the show to be really good and then the big twist was to make it bad- really ground breaking subversion !

I think Dany's turn into madness would have been one of the coolest endings and payoffs if they had spend another full season building up to the siege on King's Landing, all the while building up her desperation and insanity.

It's so cringy seeing the actors watching all their hardwork and talent put to waste for such pathetic writing, being forced to nod and smile like they are content with how pointless it all was. Like the second he says "Are you happy with how your characters end up. They immediately look at one another and smile like "Are you gonna say yeah?" And they just smile and nod. These poor people. All of them fucking killed their roles, hell even Euron who is universally hated(as a character) is a pretty fucking good actor for the shit script he was given.

Everyone hoped for a Dragon on the Throne. They expected Snow on it. But they got a Vegetable.

D&D clearly don't like magic. They used nothing of it. Aryas face-switching magic - not used at all. Night king and his origin - let's just kill him with a knife and explain nothing. The mountain-zombie - still just who and what he was before, nothing more. Dannys fire resistance - not used ever again. really hoped that would show up in some form. Melissandre - makes flaming swords and is puff dead. The whole prophecy/lord of light thing is gone. Oyburn - never used anything he learned from the existence of the white walkers Jons resurrection - never mentioned again, It's fine that he technically is a zombie Bran's visions - led to absolutely nothing! Yes, GoT is not primarily about magic. But they used nothing of it! No conclusions at all.

HBO should've come up with a way to let the two David's go off and do Star Wars and complete their planned 10 seasons with other showrunners. That way it wouldn't have been a rush for the end. We could have had Season 8 be about the fight with the Night King. Season 9 about the aftermath, then Season 10 about taking King's Landing. Would've wrapped up nicely.

I completely agree with Hila about how dumb it is to hear about what you just watched, especially when it's such a shallow retelling of what you just watched.

Season 8 was rushed... We needed a season about the Long Night and another season about the Cersei Conflict. But no Dan and Dave thought it was possible to fit into one season which was foolish for a show of this magnitude

Gotta love Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke and Conleth Hill for spilling things out as they are. That is real dedication to the characters and the story.

Hearing that they rushed this show just because the writers wanna quit the show is so sad. It would've been way better if they tried to find other writers to replace them, and not rush the show for THEIR sakes.

It’s painfully obvious that the showrunners D&D are not good at original writing, now that they have no source material to go off. The decisions these characters are making make no sense!

A lot of things went wrong for us to be here. 1. George R.R. Martin had a lead time of 5-7 years to finish his source material and never did despite saying he would. 2. No one at HBO seeing the dwindling quality of the script leading to the final season. 3. No one at HBO reading this final script and giving it a red flag, Even the cast have had trouble pretending it's a good season. The project was not managed well, changing out directors as opposed to abruptly ending it would have been better.

The prequel spinoff is being written by George R. R. Martin and Jane Goldman. D&D are also not involved, and a great director is in charge of the pilot. It should be good.
