I agree, there were really only a handful of main characters left in Winterfell when the ending happened. I was expecting them to not even be able to take King's Landing or needing to recruit a new army, or send an assassin (Arya) for Cersei. I was expecting episode 5 to be a recruitment episode and episode 6 to be the final battle. But because they were just so damn lazy they literally just readded dead armies back to the story.

that scene with Grey Worm just had me baffled, like why does he care who the king is? why does the king get to decide Jon's fate? why didn't he just kill him immediately, why take him prisoner at all? especially since they were leaving anyway, how long did they sit around in King's Landing before the rest of the armies showed up to surround them? they couldn't have used that couple weeks to patch up enough ships to leave? why is the Night's Watch even still a thing, the wall and threat it contained is destroyed? how can the king still send people to the Night's Watch if it's in the now independent North? after that it was just a lot of screaming and crying

Watching the last episode was like watching a bad parody the cast threw together as a prank, it was unbelievable to watch, a 10 year old literally could have ended the show better

Bronn's position as Master of the Coin is relatively meaningless. With Casterly Rock's gold mines gone dry, the most important region would be Highgarden. Bronn being made Lord of Highgarden (because he fought in the war...like everybody else, lol) means that Bronn is the most powerful man in Westeros.

@@EvilPumpkin there’s still 2 books left and they will probably be filled with Dany’s traumatic events, people betraying her, people dying, etc... we will slowly start to see these moments effect her more and more. Then in the last book, something big will happen to make her explode and she’ll take her anger out on kings landing, burning the city. And we will probably root for her in a way that we root for the joker, yes she’ll be evil but we can understand where she’s coming from. This is something that has to happen over at least 2 seasons/books, she can’t just turn mad over like 2 episodes - hence why it is so random/out of character in season 8.

I also think that the books will end different for the night king, Jon snow, bran will use his powers, Arya will use the faces, Cersei won’t die by bricks, Jamie will hopefully have a good character arc. They did almost everything wrong in season 8, I only really liked how theon died honourably

George failed to keep his contract and have the books written for adaptation, instead he chose to work on a video game called Eldenring. In the end, George did help write the final season. It was still good regardless.

It is his fault as well: 1 - he gave them this stupid nonsense ending - Bran the King and Daeneris going mad. Pointless 2 - it is taking him forever to finish the books - he painted himself into a corner, made them too complicated, 4th and 5th books are a mess, and decided that at the end chambermaid did it instead of butler. 3 - he left the show and insisted two incompetent fools are the only one to run the series.

May I remind you that the Night King did have a Dragon and could fly anywhere around the world raising their deads and creating dead armies on many continents. Besides, as far as the Southern Kingdoms are concerned, the only army that is capable of fighting a war is Dorne. The last I checked, it was only 10,000. That's it. The Vale army is loyal to the Starks. Riverruns army is loyal to the Starks. The Lannister army has been completely wiped out and whatever is remaining serves under Tyrion who is loyal to the Starks. Whatever is left of The Reach's army now belongs to Bronn. Bronn is loyal to King Bran the Broken. With respect, the southern kingdoms have no choice but to be ruled over by a Northerner. It was the Starks(Jon) who pleaded with the Lords of the North and Cersei to help out with defeating the dead. It was the Starks who defeated the threat posed by the dead that saved the entire world. It is the Starks who are able to put past grievances with foes in order to serve the greater good. Who better than the Starks to rule over Westeros. It's better than being ruled over by Daenerys who has issues with not being loved by her subjects. Bran is the best choice. He can deal with anyone diplomatically because he has their past dealings in his visions. He can also see the present. For example, when dealing with the Iron Bank, Bran will run circles around those guys when it comes to getting loans from them to help rebuild Westeros. Name someone else you think would be a better King or Queen than Bran. Remember, Sansa would be perfect. However, she wants no parts of the South and she is devoted mainly to the North. Again, name someone else you think would be a better King or Queen of the 6 Kingdoms.

Dany has never killed even a single innocent woman or child in the past before the second-last episode, and has always fought to liberate people, not kill them. You could say the signs of her cruelty were there, but that's not the same as character progression, of which there was none

Easier to organize a few lords to vote than millions of people over an entire continent. There are still modern countries that have challenges with running their voting system. Was a goofy thing for Sam to suggest.

Also nice to note how Yara laughs along with the rest of the lords, even though on the Iron Islands, they have always chosen their king through the kingsmoot, which is basically a form of democracy through representation. (All the different captains from the iron islands' fleet can apply and vote)

Don't forget about Jaime's arc. Made literally zero sense. It would have been better if he went to talk to Cersei to convince her to surrender. Deanerys has pretty much won the war but Cersei decides to not surrender resulting in the destructing of Kings Landing. Now there is somewhat of a better reason for Daenerys to start killing people. Jaime then has to kill Cersei. It's not perfect but this would have played out way better. I can't believe HBO paid David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for this.

Honestly Sansa is extremely petty so I wouldn't be suprised that she would want Bran to get fucked up after his "you looked beautiful that night you were raped" statement. Hell that's probably why she threw out that "his dick broken" line when Tyrion says he should be king. lol. She been ready to throw that line for the last 2 seasons but since he rejected ruling the north, she had to keep waiting till she can use it.

They don't play the game of thrones. Southerners care about money, power, and influence and will do dishonorable deeds to get what they want. Sansa knows this. She learned first hand from some of the best southern schemers in Cersei and Littlefinger. Leaving Bran alone in KL and declaring independence for the North means breaking up the wolf pack.
