I love how this song is so harmonically complicated with all these spicy chords and key changes, and then you have that "happy birthday" part which just uses that simple I - IV - vi - V progression amidst that. It's so nice. There's always something new to colour your ears with in Bill's music.

I know it's a nonsense lyric, but as someone whose birthday is this upcoming Saturday, bill wurtz saying "happy birthday to you, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to that stranger across the street waiting patiently" was so surreal. It was speaking to me on a level that bill wurtz songs usually don't touch because it's too normal.
