That’s the factory mounting spot for the 70-71 ironhead coil. Maybe other years as well, but i only have a 1970 and 1971 ironhead in front of me to have that knowledge!!! And naturally I’m going to modify the coil bracket to mount it lower, because it’s up to high and will interfere with the king queen seat pan that is to come down the line!!!! And the sissy bar im gonna make and mount with the king/queen will be slanted backwards mimicking the line of the springer frontend, i know i heard you say you like em’ that way too!!!! 👍🍺

Yeah i’ll be slowly chipping away at it, i won’t be as fast as hippie, I’m at the misery sometimes with my brother’s wallet and in-person decision making that is sometimes needed, it’s tuff sometimes he works outta state alot!!! So you’ll probably beat me to the finish line, even with getting started after me!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 👍🍺
