It is an often overlooked area of Mt Hood National Forest . Very beautiful. Mike

Correct. It's not a highly trafficked trail. So it's perfect for me. Maybe it's the elevation gain that scares hikers away but with views like these it's worth every step.

Once you reached to the end of oak ridge and where the surveyor ridge sign is, did you go left or right to reach the viewpoint?

Make a right and in about 1 mile trail leads to the viewpoint.

I'm fortunate enough to be staying in an area that gets views of Mt Hood, from down in the valley. Honestly... it's so breathtaking even this far away! My favorite mountain for sure.

It's awesome to be able to live in an area near Hood and get those views. The views of Hood never get old. I love that there are so many awesome trails around Hood. I'm planning on doing the Timberline trail next month and filming it. That should be epic. Thanks for watching.
