Although Youngjae is 7th , I'm not dissapointed or mad. I'm fucking proud because he didn't have any dancing background when he came to the company and managed to debut with got7 having a training period of 7 months. The fact that he had the shortest training period and other 6 members are all damn good dancers and him keeping up with them literally amazed me. I'm so proud of him and got7.
I actuslly think he trained for less than seven months, these seven months could still include the months he prepared for GGG. He even had to skip the "basic dance" every trainee must pass because he already had to practice for GGG. It must have been pressuring for him but it's true, you can't even tell he never had a background in dancing when he dances together with the other six.
Jinyoung is really an underappreciated gem..like it took so many years for people to talk about his vocal ability and still people don't even recognise his amazing dancing ability.. Let's give him some more love 🥰
I’ve seen too many non-fans and member stans discredit Yugyeom as the main dancer so thank you for acknowledging that Yugyeom deserves his main dancer position and belongs nowhere other than 1st on this list!!

videos like these make me realize got7 is a lot more of a dance based group than people credit them for. I mean the fact that 6th-2nd position could be interchangeable and all of them could be believed to have ‘lead dancer’ positions speaks for itself. also makes me realize once again that even though got7 is popular, it feels like they are slept on for their remarkable talent and more are noticed for their sense of humor as well as personality - which is great of course however I also wish people acknowledged their musical abilities like they do with many other groups.

Jinyoung was my first bias because he's one of the most precise idols in the industry. From vocals to dance, he always pays attention to the smallest details where most idols focus more on performance. Truly a legend. Also I think this is the first video I agreed 100% with 😂
YES finally someone appreciating Jinyoung!! I always see people talking about BamBam & Jaebeom alongside Yugyeom (which is incredibly valid-- as mentioned, the entire group is pretty equal), but Jinyoung rarely gets mentioned as one of the best dancers in the group, even though he auditioned as a dancer and was JJP's main dancer when they debuted. He's SUCH a well-rounded artist.
I am glad I am not the only one that notices Bam Bam's and Jinyoung's dance ability. I feel like they often glossed over because people more easily notice Yugyeom's skill. I think people often forget that Jinyoung has a dance background before Got7. Hell I didn't even know I just kept thinking "wow for a singer he sure do be dancing like hell"

I know right Jinyoung and Bambam are underrated dancers. even in fandom. Glad you digging through all their solo dances( of all members too of course). GOT7 are overall really great dancers anyway. 😍
Jinyoung's position as the 2nd best dancer of the group after Yugyeom is pretty valid, because even the Got7 members themselves realise that Jinyoung is the best dancer of the group after Yugyeom & the members themselves praised Jinyoung's dancing abilities in some shows.
I agree with this ranking although Jackson and Jay b keep switching between 4th and 5th for me. I always thought Jinyoung was one of the more versatile dancers in Got7 aswell
I find it interesting how the only 2 official lead dancers are ranked 4th and 5th.. I always thought Jinyoung and Bambam were cleaner dancers anyways, JYP should have given them official lead dance positions too! Not that it matters anymore.

The way KPOP stans discredit Yugyeomie everyday is still make me mad. Go argue with wall, that man won Hit the stage at 18. He is hands down one of the best dancers in KPOP. I am so proud that GOT7 is the only group and maybe last knowing as acrobatic group because of how their members have different strength. They all have very unique dancing abilities and their charm. When they get together, they make it a complete whole.
fr. what makes my head boil even more is that some birds also discredit him. he didn't win a competition against many other kpop idols for nothing. his genre might not be your preference but you can't deny he is one of the best out there.
i think something that's rarely talked about is how jaebeom is kind of a chronic over-dancer, like we never see him under-dance but we often see him over-dance to the point where certain details are lost. there's a lot to appreciate about him with his dance skills alone, but something i like about everyone you ranked higher than him is their control. the hip hop and b-boying background is a very likely cause of why he over-dances considering the energy those styles require. it just gets kind of frustrating to see fans conflate high energy dancing (over-dancing) with better dance ability. i'm also really glad you ranked jinyoung #2 bc that's where i put him as well. he's severely underrated as a dancer because his style is a lot more fluid than the other dancers in the group, but he literally went to dance school before debuting so it's no wonder he's so focused on technique. one thing i notice about him, however, is that he tends to dance individually rather than with the group. i've noticed this since if you do era. there's one move during the first half of the chorus of if you do that he does differently from everyone else, and even though i personally think his version is more intuitive, he tends to stick out and comes off as someone doing the dance "incorrectly." this also happens when he includes details that other members gloss over. i personally like seeing the details, but it does detract from the cohesiveness of the group performance. overall i'm in complete agreement with your ranking, though i often change up the ranks from #3-6 depending on the era lol. thanks for doing this!
I see what you mean about Jay b, I think he’s toned it down a bit very recently. I can’t remember his exact words or where he said it, but he mentioned something like he’s decided that nowadays he’s going to only put alot of energy in certain moves if the moves require it. Also interesting point you made about Jinyoung I always thought he was quite good at matching himself to other members in the group
I think you are mistaken him, Jay B dances like that not because of his hip hop/b-boy background, it's just that he has fun performing and he enjoys it I don't really think that he really cares about techniques when performing, he just wants the crowd to be hyped with him That's why Ahgases sometimes joke that the devil possesses him when he's on the stage
lol I knew Bammie would be the underrated dancer (like IZ*ONE's Chaewon) but I didn't know that most of them didn't have clean technique (I thought Bam was a clean dancer like obviously clean dancer Jinyoung) so this ranking is about right! in this household we have Yugyeom supremacy yall! Thanks 💝
i agree 100% on your opinion about Jinyoung! his techniques are actually SO GOOD i’d give everything just to see him doing solo modern dance. His clean and precise moves are to die for I really hope everyone knows just how good he is

idk jinyoung's background, I do know he has an actor carreer so I would guess that since being an idol isn't his main thing, he would lack in something, but surprisingly it is quite the opposite of that lol, for me he is an all rounder, stable vocals, visuals, fun personality and an amazing dancer I think got7 as a whole are actually all rounders, they have 10/10 vocal line, you can't even tell who are the dancers and they are the funniest male group in the industry (and I'm not even a stan)

Your ranking is almost the same as my thought about GOT7 dance ranking except the 4th and 5th, but yes I know it's hard for you because GOT7 is a group focus much more in performing, dancing
GOT7, the group where - the weakest dancer of the group would be a lead dancer in any other group - one of the few groups in k-pop that ACTUALLY sing live, and not just lipsync to the CD track (so many of those "PROOF THAT XYZ GROUP EAT THEIR CDS" videos are 100% lipsynced, k-pop stans are *that* delusional) - have a vocal line that have extremely consistent and stable vocals (I saw them live two years ago, Youngjae was hitting massive high notes whilst dancing like crazy and Jay B and Jinyoung were great too) - one of the few k-pop groups who are actually funny and don't need tonnes of editing and silly captions in comp videos to make them seem funny - have done a wide array of concepts and so many underrated b-side tracks but stan twitter still wanna act like they're the worst thing to happen to k-pop bc they don't sell as much as bts or exo
The fact that GOT7 are all amazing at dancing, AND can maintain such stable vocals throughout their performances really does say a lot about their skills

Jackson has such a great stage presence but I also notice during these past years his Got7 performances were very underwhelming. He looked as he wasn’t enjoying their songs. (But knowing how jyp treated got7 I wouldn’t be surprised)
In the begining Jackson was so energetic, he was so excited for the debut that he did exaggerate the movements thus sometimes he was out of sync, he was worried about controling his energy, but his charm and charisma are in another level. Like I mentioned in another comment, for me is a natural born entertainer. (sorry, english is my second languaje, I hope you undestand my POV)
I pretty much agree...it was nice to see your reasons. JB is my bias and I agree with him 5th. Bam bam is a wonderful dancer to watch, however my favorite dancer is JinYoung, but you are totally right that his stage present is not as big as the others. Every time a new GOT7 video came out I would watch it 9 times. The first all together and then each member and then all together at the end. I would love watching JinYoung but would be distracted at times during his turn by the other members.
Ahh, my heart hurts when I see Youngjae's ranking. It's an accurate assessment, but we all know how much effort Youngjae put into dancing as a member of GOT7. He came as the latest member, with no dance experience or training, into a group where the other 6 members all have official dance positions and experience. Mark is/was lead dancer and the martial arts tricker, JB is from a b-boying background, Jackson was literally a dance captain on Street Dance of China, Jinyoung entered JYPE through his dance skills, Bam was part of a dance team since childhood, and well, I don't think I need to say anything about Yugyeom, right? Our main dancer, choreographer, and the king of Hit The Stage. Even Youngjae himself said that he spent so much time practicing dance in his 8 years with GOT7, that he couldn't focus on his vocals much, which is why he wants to focus on his vocals for the time being in his solo activities. So while I agree with the ranking, I (and Ahgases all around the world) should really give Youngjae a standing ovation for his hard work in training to become an all-rounded performer as part of GOT7 💚
The ranking is really unpredictable but I have nothing against it. As a matter of fact I agree to this list. Especially for Bambam and Jinyoung. Their dancing skills were appreciated here and that's what I like the most.
LOL OH MY GOD. Your ranking is completely identical to mine LOL From #1 - #7. In terms of skills, techniques and versatility more than just stage presence. (When it first started I would rank Jackson after JB but in recent years Jackson improved more, which makes complete sense since he has had a lot more chances to focus on improving his dance skills via dance variety shows) Tho JB's "give it all" stage presence and facial expressions - personally he is #1 in GOT7 in terms of that LOL But yes, even with #6-7, they are all good dancers that never make GOT7's dance as a whole seems lacking in anyway. Their individual dances when you look at them only might be lacking a bit comparably but as a whole, they don't "slow down" the group at all. Considering they are the two members who have had no dancing experience prior to joining JYPE. Bambam is a very airy dancer - but I agree, GOT7 is a live performance group, they probably can only pick their battles with the limited time - composing, singing live, performing live, and dance techniques. When I look at Jinyoung, his dances are always really clean and consistent (when he wants to lol which is also my only nitpicks on him - he picks when he wants to give his 100% lol He CAN have amazing stage presence such as House by 2pm in the fan meet but he doesn't always give his all in terms of stage presence) because he focuses on techniques a lot, and because he has really good foundations he can do a lot of different styles and genres. It's like if you want to learn the dance, looking at him would always give you the best idea on what the choregrapher wanted lol The best example for me was his NBTM solo cam on Weekly Idol lol. And YES, his style is like a Lala Land type lol He loves dances with a story so much lol His flow! And Yugyeom, especially after 2020 when he had more time to practice more since he's not touring 24/7, his dance techniques improved SO MUCH (again!!!). He is literally a dancer nowadays lol
im really glad someone finally recognized jinyoung’s impeccable dancing skills! i always ranked him second to yugyeom too, and even he himself sees the maknae as his dance rival! lol in their trainee period, he was hailed as a dancing machine and i never understood why that never translated in his idol years - yes he gets invited to dance collab stages but he is more known as the “face” of the group and got7’s representative actor. he actually became my bias back when jjp was starting because of his dancing and it makes me so happy that i get to witness everything hes done before he became a fully-fledged working actor.

My opinion 1 Yugyeom - watch the dance stage on one of the show he participated in 2 Jinyoung - i thought he was a main dancer 🙃 3 JayB - He has so much stage pressence he can be sometimes messy but hes so pleasing to watch 4 Jackson - i belive he has so much charisma which for me is very good for an idol dancer but as an techniqal dancer he is also good 5 Bambam - He has a very good technique yet i can't really feel him that much since other members outshadow him 6 Mark 7 Youngjae
I would really like to see Jinyoung dance to a contemporary kind of choreography. He’s really so underrated and underappreciated as a dancer within the group fandom, like seriously.
First video i found that i completely agree with!! Jinyoung and Bambam are usually overlooked in performances, but they're one of the smoothest dancers I've ever seen. And well nothing to say abt Yugyeom, we already know the legend he is.
I couldn't agree more about how you said 2 to 6 is interchangeable. I am no dancer, but I want to point out the following: 1. Mark has great angles. I have seen other dancers talk about it and I have always noticed how his shape stands out. 2. As much as I love Jackson, he can sometimes appear stiff in some choreographies. 3. I think Bam Bam doesn't get enough praise for his dancing, he has very impressive technique and his dancing style is also pretty versatile. 4. Jinyoung is so suave with his dancing, I just sometimes wish he'd go harder you know? And I have seen him underdance at times. 5. Interesting, now that you point it out, I do notice that JB tends to hunch his shoulders. I always ranked him higher, maybe because he has amazing flow, perhaps the best in got7? Anyway, enjoyed the video quite a lot!

I am a happy igot7 with this ranking~ especially since Yugyeom, for some reason, is questioned for his main dancer title- but with his growth and technique in hip-hop (the style got7 does best imo) it’s a no brainer he’s number one. I’m so happy! I agree with the rest of your list to be honest and am happy you acknowledged Youngjae’s growth as he’s worked so hard... and has improved so much!! But he is the big power house vocal and actor so his talents are used elsewhere! However... I feel as if Mark and Jackson are SUPER interchangeable. Jackson has super charisma and shines in hip-hop styles, whereas he can be stiff in other styles. It’s all about comfort, Jackson is very comfortable with sharp and strong movements. However, Mark is kind of the opposite of Jackson imo.. Mark lacks some facial expressions, but his flow can be very pleasing and he excels in martial arts.... I dunno... those two could be one ranking together 😝 Love the ranking tho!! And my baby jinyoungie getting that dance recognition he Deserves
I agrree, Got7 really focuses more on the performance elements rather than technique. That doesnt mean they dont have it because it is evident in their solo work. Its just that maybe they are more focused on the message and conneting to the audience.
GOT7 is packed with great dancers, they're all great on their own right and are very consistent as a group, I could never understand why people don't talk about that more, ranking them is surely a hard work, thank you for doing this! I've been waiting for it

I agree totally with this ranking. All of them are good dancers and I think you can easily see it because you can't recognise their main dancer in first sight, because all of them are that good. When I saw a video of this 4th gen group I could instantly recognise their main dancer, but with GOT7 you can't do that as easily. Just try~
Well Yugyeom really is really outstanding in Got7 dance practice tho, even tho his dance style is not my type but he still catches my eyes. And his voice is so unique, I feel like if he does not have skills it is impossible for that kind of voice to sound good. I love how Got7 use Yugyeom’s voice to highlight their songs, after listen to some of their songs, Yugyeom parts always turn out being my favorite parts.
I've watched a couple of your dance rankings before but the disclaimer about you finding it hard to rank 6th to 2nd place made me laugh so much. I don't think you've ever had to say something like that for any other group (though correct me if wrong, lol). As expected of GOT7, who have always excelled in dancing & performance. Also: to think that Youngjae dealt with a neck injury before the Last Piece comeback because all the choreo they had been practicing was too rough :/ He's improved so much and he's always fit well with GOT7's performances from a normal fan's POV ^^
I decided to put that extra disclaimer in as a precaution, due to my experiences in past videos. Even with all the disclaimers, I've already had to delete several comments (far too inappropriate language, using a disagreement as an opportunity to insult me, the members or fellow commenters, etc). I for a lot of chill peeps, all the disclaimers are a bit weird, bit for me personally, it's at least something I can fall back on.
I actually agree. Only Yugyeom as the first place is fixed for me too. 2nd to Sixth are all interchangeable back and fourth for various reasons and specific strengths. You did a good job with your ranking and analysis. All of them are good dancers, and Youngjae did a damn good job of improving and keeping up with them as main vocal. He joined jype with zero dance background, and he made sure that he doesn't become a black hole in GOT7 and worked very hard for the team choreo. He's awesome!
You know what I really liked the ranking of them all it's very understandable that Youngjae is last and Mark is number 6. Youngjae only trained in jype for 7 months and never had experience in dancing before that. Mark didn't have any experience in dancing either but he trained longer than youngjae so it makes sense. I really think that you can see them dancing better in their solo stuff, they stand out more. I really hope Bambam and Jinyoung somehow show more of their dancing. It's really frustrating that kpop fans don't mention Yugyeom as one of the best dancers.
I honestly think he chose to. He doesn't always put his 100% - sometimes he reserves that energy for singing live, or sometimes he takes a step back when the camera is on others but you can tell he did that on purpose.
Yugyeom is my ultimate bias, I really love the way he dances he's like a dancing machine. I want to be like him and also your ranking was good I don't have a complaint ❤️✌🏻

@@femiyakubu7142 Not really. Both Jackson and Mark had little dance skills when they got scouted. Jackson was an Olympic athlete and Mark was a high schooler with athletic aptitude in verious field. JYPE saw potential in them so they scouted them.
Got7’s dance skills are known between the dancers and choreographers and were praised many times such as Lia Kim she said that Bambam is her fav idol dancers cause his skills are awesome, yugyeom was the 3rd best dancer based on his synchronization, strength, style, skills, and flexibility(by professionals). The problem is that the world sees them only as entertainers or boys with great personalities, which they're, but they are more than just a funny group .

Yugyeom really holds the title "Main Dancer" of the Group and Jinyoung is next to Him, They are duo. 💚 At first I really don't expect it for bambam but he really stands out like "What, Is that Bambam?" Because we often see him as a Joker, You know what I mean? Same as Jackson. But like what the saying is, "Don't judge the book by it's cover" Mark too, I think because he's the one chosen for Acrobatics and Martial Arts Dance that's why. JAYB do B-boying, He audition with that right? Then he is also a vocalist, most of the time he is singing but like what he said, when he dance he gave his full energy, His facial expressions are also good tho. This ranking is really good. I don't feel bad for Youngjae tho because he is vocalist. It is normal for Him to focus on singing than dance. But he can dance too. He is so talented right? All of them actually. They can be singer, dancer or Rapper. They are all rounders.

I don't think GOT7 has done a lot of hip-hop dances lately. They have other dances such as "I am Me, Lullaby, You Calling My Name, etc..", Jus2 (Focus on Me), and JJ Project (Tomorrow, Today) show different versatility.
I think one really interesting thing about Mark is that people might feel like he’s more suited to hiphop dance styles because of his body control during MATs, but if you’ve seen him dancing to I Am Me and songs like that, you realize the softer & more lyrical styles are where he really shines in his dancing.
My Ranking 7-Youngjae, he is a strong dancer as compared to a typical idol 6-Mark, maybe because he is messy sometimes but his acrobats are his edge 5-Jinyoung, I find him sometimes stiff, maybe because he has a bulky body but he is really good at pops and locks 4- JayB, He is a main dancer material already, he is good at hiphop, his facial expression is also very good 3- Jackson, He is very good, very underrated dance maybe because he focused on acrobats. 2- Bambam, his lines are very very clean, i think Yugyeom's only edge to him is technicality and energy. But technique wise, he is very good 1- Yugyeom, Footwork expert, being on top of them is a big thing, his lines are also very cleans since he's tall but i notice, he always do much much footwork on freestyles
as a fellow dancer, i totally agree on this. but instead of jaebeom being 6th, i'd interchange him with jackson because jacksom tends to under dance and he doesnt fully extend his movements that much but he has clean movements. jay b on the other hand, encorporates facials and he give his all out performance, though sometimes he over dances to the point he doesnt control the energy of his movements. when i first saw jinyoung's performance i was surprised that he could dance so well. his weakness is probably that he doesn't have a groove or he doesnt isolate his body well and it tends to look stiff. id rather place him after bambam because bambam has cleaner moves and he has long legs and arms that he fully extends to have wider movement still i love themmmm and they're all really really great dancers!! their years of training didn't go in vain
i used to be a dancer and i agree with all your points, especially since 2-6 could all be lead dancers, they all have shown major improvement with their dancing abilities and im proud
