We've seen Harley the sidekick, Harley in the suicide squad, on her own as an anti-hero, and in arkham, we saw her grieving and unraveling without joker. So a true villain Harley without joker seems like the next step.
This definitely does seem like a darker and more villainous Harley, which is actually pretty cool to see. This is a Harley that's embraced villainy and it's showing.
Surprised no one mentioned the pinstripe. Turning her typical villain aesthetic more "business woman" more grown up. While also taking ques off the suit and tie look from joker, taking the mantle for herself. No longer a sidekick shes promoted herself
Unfortunately that Harley is just a dumbass that is just in grief. Rocksteady changed it in their Suicide squad game because Harley is popular as a member rather than a progress of her in Arkham
Yeah, from the current materials, the worldview is actually quite like what we would see after Arkham Knight. What's stopping them is probably that lots of characters already have complete character arcs (like Mr. Freez), and some characters are dead like the Joker, Clayface, Ra's, and Bane's brain. Such limitations make it hard to come up with new stories.
Don't think there's ever been a rendition of Harley Quinn like this. Concept is very intriguing, but it's the performance of the actress that will make or break the character.

Woah first time seeing her in her costume in this game, love the design. The upside down heart makeup is a great touch. Might be my favorite design for her yet
All you have to do to take the character full circle is timeline crossover where hero Harley and villain Harley psychoanalyze each other And their motivation
Never particularly liked how she just became an antihero and then a full blown hero. Harley still killed so many people and committed numerous crimes: she can't just get away with them because "muh abusive relationship"
The crucial point here is can they differentiate her soon-to-be dark character from that of Zoker. She has to be more than just another version of Zoker in female look.
Really glad that this is the direction they went with Harley as she should be. The current hero Harley that DC is pushing in the comics is so boring and being a part of the bat family which makes no sense, considering the acts she’s done with and without The Joker. Just watching this shows how much of a interesting take it is. This, the telltale game and Arkham Knight proves that she can be a great villain on her own, you just need the right writers. That’s why she became such a big popular and loved character, because she was a villain.
A darker and more sinister Harley Quinn still doesn't deter my 4 year old from thinking she's the most amazing character in all forms of media. Seriously she's obsessed
It’s funny how Batman was able to handle Harley extremely easily without even a boss fight. When the the Knights fight her she’s actually a challenge to them, which shows how much Batman is above all of them.
Not really, remember that this isn't the Arkhamverse where Harley is a pushover. We've never seen what this version of Harley is capable of or how easy (or hard) it was for this Batman to dispatch her.
@@_KayWoah Even then, during the robin dlc she was able to actually fight back. Here she’s stronger but she still wouldn’t give the OG batman much of a challenge

Batman attempts to help many versions of Freeze and in some cases they're more like frenemies in the fact that that they occasionally help each other out and have no malice against one another.
@@TheTaubadel It's not a sequel to the Arkham games at all. Even Rocksteady stated that it in no way had any connection to their universe. They most likely wanted to make a sequel to Arkham Knight but Rocksteady were not ok with it so they just took what they wanted from the Arkham series and made it their own universe.
@@TheTaubadel This is not a pseudo sequel to the arkhamverse. Gotham Knights is its own Universe. There's no connection to Arkhamverse despite how things ended in Arkham Knight.
The reality is Harley will FOREVER be associated with The Joker and there is noting wrong with that. She has already surpassed in him right now in popularity so that in itself is a win.
Technically wrong. She was created in the batman animated series, but was later added to the source material. So she's "from" the comics but created in the show. Plus all the best parts of Harley people love are in the comics.
Flat out looks boring. She doesn't make me think "Harley," she makes me think of a sub boss you fight BEFORE facing Harley. This isn't "iconic," it's a bit unsettling at first, but kinda dull after that first glance.
Better parts of the game are the Easter eggs. Black Canary and Catwoman exist in This universe.. they would be great dlc characters.. and I'm surprised Catwoman didn't have a prominent role in the base game she would have brought a much needed balance or chaos pending on how she's written..I Hope she is dlc
