Don't tell the devs, please. I respect the canon, but honestly don't care about "killing" people this way, because I can't do anything to myself: I love manually grabbing enemies and throwing them (off) in action games, and especially throwing them off buildings (honestly, I am grateful they didn't follow Batman AK free-flow at this point). I really hate invisible walls for the sake of stupid censure.
It’s pretty likely that Red Hood shooting non-lethal rounds isn’t to keep characters in a Batman game from canonically killing baddies. It’s more likely that if they decided to give him “lethal” rounds he would either feel really fricking goofy because dumping 30 bullets into a grunt that’s wearing joggers and a sweatshirt is terribly unrealistic and corny, or that if they decide to make them lethal then everyone would just run around on Red Hood 1-2 tapping enemies rather than punching them. In a melee focused game even including a gun play focused character seems kind of questionable to me.
@@cerebralassassin2185 that's not that much time. considering games have to go gold as well. if that's the latest build, it could definitely use way more time in development.
@Gabe almost all of them yeah. there was a glitch in origins that let you pull policemen off a roof but otherwise whenever a goon came up to a ledge they just hit an invisible wall
@@Baset_ In the original release for Arkham City, I remember being able to knock enemies off of buildings which was honestly hilarious. The sequels and remastered versions put the invisible wall there. Which IMO is a good choice. Not sure why WBM isn't doing that but maybe it's just the demo lol
this is a mobile game and Jason is ugly why does he look old than batman they need to fix this game not buying the game if it looks like this mystical leap hahahhahahaha delete that move
nah dude, this feels like its fundamentally flawed. like when you draw but you feel like no matter how hard you shade and smoothen the lines, it just wont get that far and you basically need to start over
I believe they want each character to differentiate from each other as much as possible, which is why Jason is a tank character with mostly ranged attacks. But I'm sure he has plenty of other melee attacks too, the player just decided to avoid them
@@brainoil6442 that's because the Arkham games were built for Batman and they just loosely integrated him. They'd have to completely rework combat for him in that game.

Something is off here. I think it’s the character movement because this just looks like a REALLY good mobile game. Hoping to see graphic and mobility improvements closer to release

Not a big fan of Nightwing having a tech glider. I’d definitely prefer him to have his traditional underarm wings to glide like Batman. I hope that’s an option.
They said it was an *unlockable* traversal option, maybe what you suggested could potentially be another traversal element to use in the complete game.
I’m hyped to see the final version of the game! As of right now I think the combat looks too stiff and needs to be more fluid like the old Arkham games.

@@bayek8377 it is already confirmed this isnt an Arkham Verse canon game but its confirmed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an Arkham Canon game.
Honestly the animations look terrible to me. It feels like a lot of the arm movements (particularly red hoods) are a bit sluggish, and proper collision with the floor wasn't taken into account when implementing a majority of each of the character's acrobatic movements.. you can see their feet and limbs slide around along the ground like ice during some of their fighting and dodging animations, which is really saying something for a "Triple A" game in 2022 when the original Arkham Asylum didn't even have this problem in 2009. That and everything just feels... floaty? It feels like the characters and the game world they're in is not quite as cohesive as it should be, like the characters were designed to be able to move around any environment you put them in (like Fortnite) as opposed to characters the felt like they were designed to specifically traverse the game world its set in (like Assassin's Creed or any of the other Arkham games). I'm getting a real sinking feeling that this was a good idea with terrible execution, and people probably aren't going to be very impressed with it once it officially comes out..

Spider-Man doesn't kill but will break a man's spine and cause brain trauma after kicking him in mid air while also banging his head and leaving him dangling from a rooftop. Try Arkham Knight though. @@MaxIronsThird spiderman actually doesn’t kill in the game. if you pay close attention when he launches an enemy off of heights, they get webbed up to a wall or metal structure of the building
They should probably decrease the range of the counter/attack. Seeing nightwing backflip half the building to hit an enemy once and then backflip again to the other enemy is pretty jarring. It makes sense with ranged characters like red hood but not cqc characters
Agreed. That was one of the most ridiculous game mechanics in the Arkham games that also made them waaay too easy. I hope they decrease the range by a lot so they flow better like Spider-Man PS4. I thought they fixed that since the last demo had Batgirl doing more precise dodges and ran towards enemies rather than glide to them. Maybe I'll just play her then lol

For a vigilante trained by Batman, Red Hood seems really clunky and unskilled with hands-on combat. He's gotta incorporate those guns into close-combat combos
Weird part is that they have a template. Several actually (Arkham Knight. Injustice) Strange they're not incorporating at least _some_ of those movesets 🤔
@@Danuxsy ok but there are so many thinks they talked about that didn't get into actual game. And look at gameplays and compare them to what we have today
Red Hood needs to have more melee combat included into his gameplay so they could incorporate the crowbar that he uses in the comics and it helps speak on his character as well as makes a perfect reference to the way in which he was killed plus it still works with how he's a tank of the team.
@@OGGrubKill3r But I think they're just going to have Red Hood use his guns as melee to limit him as the ranged tank of the team in varying his attack style.
I noticed that too....what I loved about Red hood in Arkham Knight he had all kinds of Meele attacks in which he combined with shooting. Here it just looks like all he could do is shoot....with one or two meele take down moves.
@@TheKira708 exactly if they keep Red Hood's gameplay that limited people that would want to play as him will be put off and just play as the other characters because his gameplay will start to feel too repetitive.
I take the graphics with a grain of salt since it’s still in development but red hood ‘soul stepping’ is a bit of a reach for me. As is the combat. I like the concepts they’ve gone with but it seems really clunky. With all these characters already available to play as in Arkham knight you’d expect some inspiration of play style. (Yes, I know they’re not from the same continuity)
@@Hammerhead1986 Exactly! He already has a grapple hook and batcycle but if they wanted to make a unique ability why go with using “soul energy”?? Red hood isn’t exactly Shang Tsung
"Still in development" It comes out in like 4 months, and they have to finalize and ship, so they only have like 3 months to work on it. Unless there's a delay, this is pretty close to the final product. It might even get worse if andromeda and cyberpunk are anything to go off.
Nice touch that they made Red Hood flail his arms around while shooting to make him more accurate as well as punching the air with each shot to make the bullets do more damage. Never would have guessed Nightwing was an acrobatic fighter had he not backflipped 30 feet between enemies either.
Don’t know how I feel about red hood having new powers, also loads of people will disagree with me on this but I don’t like how beefy he looks either. I’ll probably get the game because it’s co op but I’m definitely not as hyped as before
This still looks like it's (at least) a year - two away from release. Half of Red Hood's attacks look like they have absolutely no weight, his "driving" looks sluggish and slow, Nightwing body language while just standing looks like he's constipated. And the fact that you guys still haven't shown a one, clear, non-interrupted gameplay video and just showed "the best" [altough with the person behind the controller that also failed spectacularly] tidbits tells that you're hiding a lot. So in other words - at this point, this is just sus and filled with red flags.
@Jay R No. it’s 2022. Rocksteady started off that way so others wouldn’t have to. If we aren’t getting known open world world w a game that’s primarily triple A in this day and age, almost nobody will get it
They literally could of done his double jump with thruster boots or something and I would immediately be more behind it soul energy is ridiculous they’ve literally have red hood powers when what’s fun is that he’s a anti Batman
I would've liked it had they made him use that sort of soul energy towards a more parkour approach. Jumping around like that resembling the hulk isn't a good look imo
I want some advanced, cool, innovative parkour and grappling techniques, not this. It completely takes away what makes Batman and the bat family so special; that they’re human, and their stories are grounded.
Yikes. Thank God for this gameplay demo! I won't be getting this day one. You took the smoothest combat system in gaming and made it slow and sluggish. Thank you again for making me avoid wasting $80 and waiting for people to beta test this game for me!
It’s so obvious that they’re trying to rip off spiderman with these new gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately none of these people realize spiderman didn’t achieve it’s success from the combat system
I feel like hanging from underneath a “tech glider” would be tiring and it looks… silly. But if red hood can jump with his soul, then I guess we’re not going for realism.
@@ArthurMorganus batgirl has the Arkham gliding and robin has short range teleportation from a satellite at the justice leagues HQ doesn’t sound very dumb to me
Fun fact at 3:25 you can see a building named “Daggett” appear on screen. If you know Clayface’s origin from the comics you know that Daggett was one of the people responsible for Basil Karlo becoming Clayface. This is without a doubt a hint to Clayface’s existence 😶
The fighting seems really slow and not as fluid as what were used to have. That kinda kills the mood for me. The way you could chain movements and attacks in the Arkham games made the fighting so satysfying an rewarding. This just feels like im gonna avoid the fighting as much as I can, if I ever get the game.
In the Arkham series, you're supposed to be a one-man army, any combat you see, you can tackle, but like imagine if there were 4 Batmans, any combat situation would be trivial, or there'd be stupid mechanics to balance it out. You can play solo, but in order to balance things for a 4-man co-op, you need to be a bit slower to allow there to be enough things if there were four people. That's not to say it's impossible, but it will be difficult and more likely than not, slow. It's either that, or we get ridiculous mechanics that are zero fun to deal with co-op, and likely EXTREMELY difficult solo, and then people would complain about now being able to play solo.
For those of you expecting the combat to change by the time the game comes out, don't. There is definitely not enough time left before release to change something as big as the combat system beyond small tweaks.
@@pyooming3098 I mean I work in the games industry but even aside from that I think if you have even a rudimentary amount of knowledge on how games are made its pretty obvious they won't be remaking the combat system in the next 4 months. I could be wrong but I'd be very surprised.
@@pyooming3098 I think with things like this wishful thinking plays a big part, but while the devs have made changes like removing health bars and damage numbers the combat system is probably one of the more complex areas, with character interaction, animations etc all involved. Making changes to this at this stage would be a lot of work and would require a lot of testing. Given that the devs have cancelled previous gen versions it shows they're having some technical difficulty and the majority of resources are likely being spent on polish and bug fixes. Modifying the combat system would be a surefire way to open the door to even more bugs. Not trying to be condescending, just explaining the reasoning as to why it likely won't happen.

Things that concern me about this game: The crafting system: gathering resources from enemies etc is going to become tedious very fast. There seems to be so many different resources which is very likely to be a way to artificially make the game longer by getting the player to farm said resources. Now if the gameplay loop is fun enough that isn't always a problem, but the way the resources are displayed (when enemies are killed they drop a fortnite like resource) it just looks out of place and breaks immersion. The multiplayer aspect: Now CO-OP is great and exploring gotham with a friend is a great idea. However whenever a game comes with multiplayer, micro transactions are just around the corner and to me this game could very much be a sellout. The absence of Rocksteady's hand in the project, the ones that started and mastered the Arkham series of games makes me concerned about micro transactions and the influence that they will have in the game. Taking about Rocksteady, their absence can already be felt in the gameplay footage. Animations feel stiff, the world looks off... less alive..? And UI elements feel tacky. All these new superpowers/ultimate abilities being added feel out of place for a game like this imo. I do not have high hopes for this game. But I hope WB Montreal shows us what they are capable of and deliver an interesting take on the arkham series. (I know it's more of an arkham spinoff but still)
Yeah, I agree with everything you said. The gameplay, artstyle, and gear crafting are all pretty big red flags. Although I’m glad they hid the damage numbers, improved the combat music, and made the hud customizable, I’m not a fan of any of the suits, the XP loot that you pick up from taking out enemies looks comically large and ugly, the borderline superpowers that red hood and robin have are so out of place, and the combat still looks significantly stiffer than even Arkham asylum. Also, you might already know this but in case I’m understanding your last paragraph correctly, I wanted to note that this is less of a take on the Arkham series or even a spin-off. It’s in no way connected to the Arkham universe and is a completely separate and new game.
@@JaxonPham I personally don't understand why people are so against Red Hood and Robin already. Robin uses the JL boom tubes to teleport, that at least makes sense for his skill set. Nightwing has a literal jet glider; it's done to make them each unique without doing anything ridiculously out of character. Red Hood has also had magical powers before in the comics, he trained with mystical groups before coming back to Gotham. Way I see it, it's just a layer of his character that hasn't been used in a game before. The closest anyone's ever gotten to it before was his move names in Injustice 2.
I know this is an early build and I know it is a separate property, but I can't stop comparing it to the Arkham series, and it has it outclassed in basically every way. I'm definitely going to wait until reviews start coming in.
@@venomrulesall I wouldn’t even say that. Arkham knight has great stealth and fighting gameplay outside of the tank, this doesn’t even seem to have that.

That’s what I’m saying! But I think they’re trying to morph the characters into “RPG Stereotypes” Red Hood’s the tank, Nightwing’s the fighter, Robin’s the rogue, and Batgirl’s the support ig. Not a fan if you ask me
@@toren2099 But he is still every bit as fast and agile as the rest of the bat family. He’s just more efficient because he doesn’t go out of his way to use non-lethal tactics. Adhering to this fact should actually make his gameplay faster than everyone else’s, at least in theory...
I think the movement should be more realistic and not what I'm witnessing right now. I love the fact that Arkham Knight fully immersed you into stealth and you could play with batmans gadgets. This needs to be like that
To be fair I completely agree with you with that but when I was just the fighting sections he jumped around a lot I think this game to me looks Like it used the same fighting but maybe not as fast
Looks good. My only real concern is that it looks like the 4 characters have elemental themes that seem pretty forced, like Red Hood with magic and Nightwing with ice.
Yhh, I don't like the elemental aspect of it, the batfamily are so renowned (at least the 4 in this game are) for their lack of powers not being able to stop them from being effective. Giving Jason the ability to bounce through the air and nightwing the ability to freeze people seems iffy to me, plus I'm sure in the other trailer robin could teleport or something, just doesn't feel right.
@@thundersantillan6589 yhh, like if it was a stun ability or some sort of electric stun pulse from his batons I would understand. But the fact it's ice just seems silly
I don't think Nightwing's thing will be ice. I think that they just had some ice weapons equipped on him. Pretty certain gear will have a chance to have added effects on it.
Man, I was really excited for this game but now it's kind of ruined for me. Jason can walk through *air??* And Nightwing can freeze people? The whole point of the batfamily is that they're are normal humans, partially normal if you consider Jason's enhanced *human* abilities, who manage to be and do better than people with super powers. Giving them supernatural powers instead of finding ways to keep them human while still interesting just seems so lazy to me. Jason could've easily just have enhanced strength, speed, etc while using gadgets, Nightwing himself uses electrified batons so why not just stun the enemies instead of giving him freezing power? Not to mention, Jason Todd is supposed to be 21 here yet he looks like he's 40 with a wife and kids. His character design is oddly old for someone supposed to be so young. I don't know, I might be nitpicking a lot, but I was hoping for a game more closely related to canon than a completely new universe where the bats have superpowers.
Nightwing has FREEZE grenades canonically ..... JASON #!!!!!! ..... -DOES NOT HAVE *DMC* POWERS !!!!!!!! ?!!!!!! ..... But, he probably listens to the music at least.... on Missions anyway ..... 😂😂😂😂 😎😎😎😎 👍
Ya I laughed at that...just need to understand this game isn't aimed at mature gamers, it's targeted at adolescent kids who want to sit down after school and play a co-op game with their classmates. It's not Arkhamverse, and I definitely won't be buying it.
Red Hood is on track to be the least fun to play, from what I've seen so far. It's such an odd choice to make him so large physically, but have his fighting style rely mostly on firearms. His animations seem to have the least amount of polish. I figured his fighting style would feature more holstering his weapons and throwing some powerful punches and weaving hard hitting melee with gun-fu kata style close quarters gunplay. He just kinda... lumbers around, takes up a large portion of the screen for no real reason. I have a lot of high hopes for this game, but this gameplay demo hurt my excitement more than heightened it. Rooting for the developers to put out a game to the level of quality they want all the same.
It looks like his playstyle will dumb down the already incredibly simple combat system. You just stand in place and mash the attack button, with there not even being any clear reason to dodge or counter. I can see they want to mix things up a bit with the abilities but if this is how he plays in the final game everything outside of bosses or gimmick encounters will be a chore with that character.
Was hyped for this one until this demo. Looking more and more like marvels Avengers. Fingers crossed the combat gets smoothed out and has that more ‘free flow’ look found in older Arkham games. I love the source material too much not to give it a go though. Going to wait on reviews here.
So far, my highlights are BatFam moments in the Belfry, stealth mechanics, and gear setups. I'm hoping for improvements in combat, as it seems there are some wrinkles to iron out still. I'm excited!
Not really since batman isn't even in the game Edit: to clarify i mean its not really a special year to be a batman fan, the batman is a good film but Gotham knights isn't a batman game so shouldn't be considered as one, if we go by every year we got a batman film as being a great year then there would have been a lot of great years in my life, this isn't the case however, not hating either just stating its not a batman game so shouldn't really be mentioned along with the batman
Was kinda hoping Red Hood would switch to a knife when moving into close combat scenarios. Seems like a missed opportunity to vary his combat style. Also still waiting to see a Red Hood suit with an actual hood (as impractical as it is - still looks badass 😝)
@@ariarasavar8290 Yeah I get that. But knives don't just mean stabby stabby. He can go with swift cuts and end with a melee attack. That's what I mean, it could've opened up more variety to his combat as opposed to a ranged tank.
The Arkham games were one of my favorites, so detailled, good voice acting, dark atmosphere. So immersive, with the best combat stealth and traversal in the genre imo. I was hyped after the first gameplay demo of this one, but now I'm gonna wait for a sale probably. It looks flashy, clunky, slow and a bit dull to be honest. Coop with friends is nice but can take away immersion easily, like in Dying Light 2 for instance, especially when you're jumping around like a fool in an open world. It also kinda takes away free exploration when traversal is so easy. If the game becomes as polished as the Arkham series it might still be worth it
The devs actually listened and removed the enemy health bars and damage numbers, this is looking fantastic so far, can't wait to see more of the villians
@@WiredBand39 hopefully, I wasn't a fan of the numbers at first and want an option to turn it off or on, I think the game suits the damage number because of the exaggerated effects.

It looks promising. I mean, they'll definitely make the combat less stiff, at least with Nightwing it's really noticeable. Really hoping they'll make it smooth like in the Arkham games. I always loved playing as NW there. Red Hood looks great, not many flaws in his combat. The way he alternates between melee and ranged combat looks very smooth. Can't wait to see the rest
I'm fine with Red Hood's gameplay. Nightwing's combat, on the other hand, feels sluggish. The way he "glides across" from one enemy to another isn't as smooth as Arkham Knight's version. Plus, it feels like he stops for a few frames that makes it look like it's sub 60fps
There are some things I think need to be polished. 1) the traversal around the city needs to be cleaned up for red hood he looks really goofy jumping like that 2) the combat needs more flow and tightening up 3) there’s no animation for dropping off a little ledge, I think there needs to be one or a couple for the different characters. 4) I think the bat bikes camera is way to close to the player 5) the pace seems very slow I hope the vehicles end up being faster and really good to control 6) when ur gliding in the air or driving, if the characters start talking there should be some strain in their voice otherwise it’s a little weird (imo) This is my opinion I’m not saying this is what it needs and that’s final I’m just giving my opinion of what I think would make the game better

It looks to much like a high quality mobile game to me. Honestly could’ve copied and pasted Red Hoods fighting style from Knight and I would’ve been happier. He feels more like a ranged character overall, which technically makes sense but close quarters with a mix of melee attacks with shots mixed in would work much better
this isnt the same company that made arkham knight sadly, these guys are the ones who made arkham origins, which as we all know was the worst batman game. I had high hopes for this game since I love batman but im losing hope and just deciding to replay arkham knight over and over again on different difficulties w some added mods
Man, this really dampened my interest in this game. I know it still has five months to go before release, so I won't judge it on how the game looks but....it needs a lot of improvement. Arkham Knight is better looking than some games today, so even though I know this is a different story and universe...I do hope it looks better on release. Combat doesn't seem to flow as well as I would like it to either. Again something that will hopefully get better in the months to come. Can't say I am a fan of the traversal system for either Nightwing or especially Red Hood with all that...jumping. Though honestly Red Hood looks kinda boring to play period just running around and shooting guns most of the time. Although it feels really strange to have crafting in a superhero game, some of the costumes for both Nightwing and Red Hood look really cool. Voice acting and animations don't seem great either. Also the map of Gotham doesn't seem to have a lot of detail, nothing like Arkham Knight was. Yeah I know maybe it's not fair to compare it to Arkham Knight, but AK was a pretty damned good game and I would hope to see even better in a current gen game based in Gotham. This has gone from paying full price close to launch day after seeing a couple reviews, to probably waiting for it to go on sale. Based on what I see here anyway.
It most likely will be improved that's probably why they made this. Red hood looks cool but I want the gun shots to have a little more impact that's about it
I with ya on this. I'm getting strong Marvel's Avengers (2020) vibes. That game was also a 3rd person squad-based superhero game with a big focus on melee combat. That game did not impress. I pretty quickly wrote that off and saved my shekels for something worth it. I definitely won't be preordering.
in 5months, they will NOT change anything on the gameplay side. I think this game needed 1 more year at least to be perfected. It will be ok, but will feel a bit stiff. A bit like Guardian of the Galaxy game. Stiff gameplay, amazing story & characters. Hopefully it will be like that !
I’d like it if each character had a unique mobility feature, as that would provide an actual reason to other characters over others (character diversity). Like if Red Hood were to be the only one with a vehicle like a militarised motorcycle, like how Batman had his batmobile. Night wing would have insane parkour attributes jumping high leaping and parkouring on top of buildings, robin would have gliding as hes the only one with cape etc. All of them would have grappling hooks though, there just needs to be some more uniqueness that would make you second guess which character to play for the specific mission as it requires that specific type of role or things that would be useful for that mission. It’d also opt for decisions to combo 2 different characters to tackle that specific type of mission.
@Booper Dooper I’m a game developer, whatever I say isn’t going to have a guarantee of happening that’s why I said “etc.” referring to Batgirl, I was simply giving an example. I’m not going to bother trying to figure out a whole concept of BatGirl
There are people who wouldn't want to have to switch characters just because the game forces them to in order to complete a mission. That is one of my least favorite game mechanic. I wanna use who I wanna use or my favorite of the characters.
You have some great ideas, however AAA developers are stubborn manchildren and they would never take good advice from their communities as it would hurt their fragile egos.
They do have there own ways of moving around but I still agree they should each get their own vehicle like red hood should get a armored muscle car, nightwing gets some sort of flying vehicle, batgirl gets the bike, and robin gets the bat mobile
@@themanstan0785 I agree with him, it's not encouraging anyone who's actually good at the previous games I have a feeling that if they got a good player to play this less people would be complaining about how clunky the combat looks
It just looks kinda sad that the whole exploration and metroidvania style of gameplay that the series was known for seems to be gone here - all gameplay footage focus on the combat and co-op but even that looks a bit stiff and often floaty. The way Nightwing automatically hops around the battlefield from one goon to the next is just bad, seems weightless. Same goes to the hits, they seem punchless. What makes it look stiff is the way the animation are connected to each other. It seems the game just cuts from on animation to the next, without a smooth transition and that is just outdated - Spiderman 2018 did it better for sure. Lastly, what worries me a lot, is the "game as a service" vibe on this one. You have loot, leveled enemies, a structure that focus too much on combat and not a lot atmosphere, story and setting.
I feel like this is just going to go in the same direction as avengers, online co-op just doesn't work for these type of games, guardians of the galaxy was single player for a reason and it paid off,
Really don't know how to feel about this. Gives me AC Origins vibes combat wise which is ok but will definitely be a downgrade compared to the Arkham Games if so
THANK U BRO. Everyone is just saying they can’t wait and it look so good must of not played an Arkham game, the gameplay really disappoints me but I’m still gonna get it cause there’s nothing else to play
Yeah it looks a bit too RPG like, enemies seem to be very bulky and there's all the magical combat abilities, worse of all is the looter shooter style armor. Red hoods guns seem to be foam blasters, non-lethal or not, and the driving looks very slow. Basically it's not very responsive and lacks impact. Not as bad as something ubisoft, as long as they dial back on the level gating that was first shown. Comparing to AC origins isn't exactly a bad thing ever, and so far I do say it's pretty accurate, a change in style but still not too far gone. Origins did turn out to be one of the legitimate best games in the AC series, so hopefully Gotham knights can pull off a similar feat, as long as the combat isn't loose, I'd rather it be stiff so it doesn't feel like you're moving around a hitbox.
@@ungreatfulduck750 I mean but in suicide squads case they are going against the justice league so it makes more sense why they would have technology or abilities.
There's a blatant last-gen lack of proper shadowing and lighting, making every scene look very flat or uninteresting. Not that it looks bad! Just expected a little more from this franchise considering how great Arkham City looked for its time. With some polish in the visuals and animations, I think it'll be as tight as previous instalments.
This doesn’t look very next gen to me maybe the the video compression but curious why they cancelled the ps4 version when it just looks like a ps4 game?
not in the arkham verse, just a Dc game with batman ''dying'', suicide squad kill the justice league is made by rocksteady and is apart of the arkhamverse so id say be excited for this as a Gotham game and be excited for suicide squad for rocksteady goodness
I dont mind the traversal options, but they should be limited. Like the glide in the arkham games... very handy to get around but you still had to use the grapple and scale the buildings
Dear Dev's - this is some structured criticism, not just trying to slag you off. The game looks very promising, however Nightwing's suit, build and posture all seem off to me. Nightwing needs to feel strong but agile and his current design, mesh, idle animation and movement make him look stiff and bulky. 5:45 in the video - look at the way he moves and holds himself. This is not the movement of a young man in his late teens or early 20's. The most noticeable thing is his rounded back, a rounded back is associated with people who are stiff and not flexible. He needs to have a better, more upright posture when standing. Additionally his traps are huge, Batman huge. Making his traps a little smaller and increasing his neck length a little will help make him not look so much of gym meat head. Currently he doesn't have the proportions of a young man in his early 20's. Narrowing the clavicle will help with this. People might think I'm being picky but its the little things like this that all add up when you are recreating such an iconic and popular character from Pop Culture.
plus the fact that nightwing is meant to be an acrobat, and instead of implementing that into his traversal they just made him fly which imo just sucks and seems lazy
I really liked the first gameplay demo for batgirl. It looked great But this one looks like red hood and nightwing are still in development U have to increase the movement speed for nightwing and better hand to hand combat for red hood. The cutscenes look pretty good
Agreed, Red Hood’s combat looks super awkward. Something about the timing of it seems off. I think they’re trying to not make him overpowered with his range attacks but at the same time they could definitely mix it with hand to hand (outside of finishers which we see here.) He just doesn’t look fun to play Edit: Also note the intense frame drops at around 11:35 - 11:45, definitely gotta iron that out
After Spiderman, I can't get over the fact that Gotham's streets are so empty. Gotham is supposed to be a goth metropolis and it would be awesome to see some life in the city.
Ikr. Spiderman lets you take selfies with civilians or high 5 them. You can find parties on the rooftops or see them break dancing. Central Park has civilians doing yoga. Sometimes the police will be in the process of arresting criminals before Spiderman gets involved. You can hear civilians on the streets throwing insults at Spiderman. This game just looks so lifeless and empty.
@@frogglen6350 it would be goofy for characters as serious as these to take 🤳 with civilians on the street this is not a spider-man game u want a spider-man game go play spider-man🤡🤦♂️
Jason's jumping in midair and Nightwing's glider look so bad. They both have grapnel gun why don't they use it ? Guys please figure out something else and fix it.
