Honestly it’s a lot of fun. I think people were expecting a story driven campaign like the Arkham series, but it’s more like division with a better story imo. I love division so I fuck with this
Tbh the story and writing in this game is amazing and I’m enjoying the gameplay as well.. but it’s does make me miss the Arkham series so instead of comparing the two I’ll be play both this and the Arkham series from start to finish
Arkham series: You can takedown with all your gadgets. You can use all movements you have and your surroundings to takedown enemies. Gotham Knights: Press X to stealth.
@@My8thtrencycle Hey man, I'm not comparing it the Arkham. I actually bought" Gotham knights" after this comment anyways since I'm a huge batman fan! This game has its own play style and to update my take on it , this game has great stealth elements after you unlock the abilities for each character! The level design could have been better as the other guy said because it puts you in bad situations when you are trying to strategize. I give it a 7.5 at the moment and I am having a TON of fun for what the game is ! I'm on lvl 27! Alot of amazing gear you can get and upgrades. The takedowns are sick with each character as well!!!
If you’ve played Shadow of Mordor you will appreciate this game, loved it so far playing coop with my friend has been a fun experience. Idk what everyone’s expectations were but to play as the Knights is different than Batman but it doesn’t feel cheesy like the Arkham games . The hard difficulty is we’re it gets really interesting and I like how you end your crime night and are able to see your rewards. Gives you a “Dark Zone” from the division kinda feel.
Im really curious to see how robins teleport look in multiplayer, if it legit look like robin dissapearing and reappearing out of thin air than we get the true teleport and not robin transforming into a crosshair, plus that takedowns out of slideways that robins tend to do would be sick
They jump too fucking high always missing were they are suppose to land and when the enemies try to land a punch and they are far away they will literally fly there and hit you Jesus makes no since I get they are trying to make the game hard but at least make it make sense damn
I agree with the jumping too high part. There's been a few times where I wanted to just drop down right in front of me but I jump across an obstacle and land right in front of an enemy 😂
@@christianalexander5791:17 1:45 and 2:43 all show moments where for whatever reason the game doesn’t want you to touch the ground. What should be simple drops send you flying, usually people complain about parts that are their fault but this one’s entirely on the game.
You get the option for a lot of encounters, but if you're playing on Hard and have progressed a bit, a lot of the enemies aren't susceptible to stealth takedowns unless you're using Robin.
Anyone else thinks, stealth is pretty basic compared to previous games, like so far I've seen 3 types of stealth takedowns, from above, from behind and ledge takedown. That's about it 😅.
I think what bothers me about this game is the grapple animations. Its just unnatural. Never played it and the story looks decent. I just like the arkam games. So much effort went into those
if this was arkham, the first 3 thugs in this video would spot the player 5 times already.. look at 0:59 .. red hood is clearly in the thugs line of sight like 3 meters from him.. but the thug doesnt see him at all.. lol
Ehhh... Red Hood is like one of the most Popular Batman sidekicks, i would even say the most popular one. So there would be complains of fans not adding him.
There's not as much point to overt stealth when the game isn't balanced around getting blasted apart whenever an enemy spots you. The Arkham games set up their stealth differently than their combat encounters with rooms that had a lot of the stealth interactables. Gotham Knights, decided to unify the two a bit more, you are not expected to take out enemies in stealth since they can't point and click you to death as easily, but enemies are actual threats in combat and not "combo-filler" like they were in the arkham games outside of challanges, so there is a reward to taking some out before you actually have to go in and fight. It's pretty likely this is so that in co-op your partner is less likely to just get you killed by fumbling stealth, and also because it fits the games lighter, more "adventurous" tone a bit better.
