+David Bičan Joker doesn't have scars or wear makeup. Heath Ledger's did, and rarely in some non canonical story lines he does, but Joker does not. He fell into a vat of chemicals bleaching his skin white, hair green, and lips red. He does wear lipstick sometimes though.

Jerome is going to have the spotlight in here cause everybody is so convinced he is The Joker... but what if he is not? Even the guy does an amazing job at playing Joker... but.... what if he is just another teasing and The Joker is for example the kid at the end of the red hood band episode in first season who takes the red hood? Remember that was another teasing.... I dunno, i love Jerome´s character and he could be the perfect Joker, a mix between Nicholson and Ledger with the brutality of the Joker version from the animated movie The Dark Knight Returns Part 2... but if he ends up not being the joker, that would be even more disturbing cause that would mean that there is in somewhere someone even more twisted and psychopatic than this guy, and that would be amazing.

I feel like the next possible guy won't have the originality anymore, and I would hate to think the joker had to steal treats from another psychopath.Jerome is already the joker from the look, mimics, voice.If there is going to be another, he's gonna be a copycat and I don't wanna watch that kind of character.

Anna Reed I see your point, but the "true joker" does not need to be a copycat in case of Jerome not being the original one... Maybe is someone we have not seen yet... I dont know, its just i like the plot twists and all that stuff in movies or shows, i dont like things to be that evident... but that´s just me, anyway, Jerome, being The Joker or not, is the best character in Gotham series.

***** Well he is definitely not like Ledger, he even said in an interview he took inspiration mostly from Hamil. He made that his own thing and you get this joker....every Joker tries to hard except for Ledger. Even Hamil tries to hard, meaning they are over the top characters. Ledger's Joker was less over the top and just crazy but that is because he was steeped in realism, a lot.

Actually I thought the same thing when the first trailer for the new season came out, I said "too much laugh, it's too obvious" but then I watched the first episode it surprised me to find out that He doesn't laugh or act insane all the time, so it doesn't seem forced. And I have the think that he may not be the actual Joker after all, that they're just testing us for something even better than this!

Well, many storylines have a Joker origin. Gotham's storyline chose this one. I stoped cringing when they killed characters that were meant to be alive in the future. But you got to agree. When he laughed the first time in the trailer, it sounded like Heath Ledger and the second laugh was just awesome!

Rohan Unni I don't doubt that by next year, Leto's joker is going to be memerable. However, keep in mind that there is no definitive Joker. Every actor that portrayed this immersive character has played him to pure genius. From Cesar Romero, to Nicholson, to Hamil, to Ledger and beyond. Different styles different types of movies and shows engaging in what it is about. All I can say is we'll just have to wait and see. I can't wait for Leto's Joker anymore then I can't wait for Monaghan's (aka Jerome) Joker in the series. I think they both with be memorable despite the over-hype. That is of course, IF Monaghan's Joker is in fact "The Joker". . . Just Saying. . .
