Are the random generators inside Gotharman's Urano modular synth too random for you? Then watch this video to find out how to patch a "sample and hold" functionality and sample LFOs, oscillators, knob positions and anything else :-)

but these time modulations only in urano? not Deformer?

Yes, those are just in the Urano, which is truly modular. The Deformers don’t have those features.

Hi , does anyone know if its possible to generate a midi clock from an audio click. I want to use a Blueray player to play AC3 Dolby 5.1 and have 'stereo' going to 'front of house' a click track for the drummer and an audio track for a midi clock (possibly a click) Is it possible to generate clock info from an audio source? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

While I'm surprised to find this question under this video, I'm happy to answer that yes, indeed, that 's possible. Playing a "click" audio sample can work as an analog clock source if the amplification of the sample is what the target expects and the sample has a sharp rising edge. A quick online search showed me that the Kenton "Pro CV to MIDI" device apparently lets you convert "clock to MIDI". There are other devices and Eurorack modules for that purpose as well I believe. There are especially many "gate to MIDI note" converters, which will not generate MIDI clock but MIDI notes. A MIDI processor could probably convert this to MIDI clock. Maybe something like Blokas MIDIhub (just a guess). MIDI clock is very fast though, so you need to keep this in mind. It's 24 pulses per quarter (PPQ) notes IIRC.

Thanks, I know its unrelated but our band would benefit from some pre recorded ambience tracks. The drummer and my Boutique JU-06 , MPC 500 and Sequencer would be fantastic to sync up. Just dont want to use a computer / laptop. Thanks for the answers , so a 24 square pulse/ ¼ note will give a cv midi code. Think I'll try recording something in FL Studio first , then maybe buy some module.
