We captured the trailer directly on Nintendo Switch on a pre-release version that had additional graphic features included. Unfortunately, we were not able to optimize these in time and so we decided to leave them out of the vanilla release version. Our plan is to ship these features with an upcoming patch as soon as possible.
I was unhappy with the launch of the switch port, and aired my grievances on the steam forum. Devs directly acknowledged my comments and sent me here. Seems like all will be well soon and good communication on the part of the devs. Very hopeful for the future of the Gothic franchise.
A huge thanks for adding all those fixes and gamepad controls to PC version! Gothic 1-2 are my all time favorites along with Fallout 1-2, Thw Witcher series and Demon's Souls. I hope there will be a physical edition at least on Switch to add to my collection!

The most iconic and the best RPG ever created by a man. In Poland we say, "you can't call yourself Polish if you haven't tried pierogi, schabowy, and if you haven't played Gothic when you were a kid". :)
@@user-qe1pz6lp1q I obviously made up this saying, but it's insane how popular this game was and still is. It's like a whole generation of gamers (including me) grew up with this game in the early 2000s. I think it's mainly thanks to Polish dubbing, it was very decent and cool, and back then it something new, because not often games were fully dubbed.

Hatte es vorbestellt und um Mitternacht schonmal angespielt, finde die Portierung sehr gelungen, mir sind allerdings ein paar Ungereimtheiten in der Steuerung aufgefallen, zum Beispiel funktioniert der "Fokus", sowie das "Schleichen" nicht. Zudem pariert der Charakter oft nicht nach dem Hieb mit dem Schwert, was mich oft das Leben kostet. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit "Bugs" zu melden? Danke für die Portierung, wird mir ein paar schöne, nostalgische Stunden bereiten :)
Ye Cuz unfortuanetly Gothic Remake would be only for ps5 but I dont want to buy A ps5 for one game only :/ atleast they should bring gothic classicnon ps4
gothic 1 and 2 are still the best game i ever played even in those times and cyberpunk, bg3 and so on… gothic had soul its not only game its masterpiece
Oh come on. Watched the Intro till the end. The camera freezed viewing Diego. I can walk out of the frame but cannot use "A" to talk to Diego. Great start! Another example, why preorder is for dummies! I wanted to enjoy Gothic from the start! Not waiting for a hotfix for an 20 year old game.
Thanks for bringing out a port for the Switch! 🎉 In addition to bug fixes, would it be possible to optionally add the shadows and water effects seen in the 3. August announcement trailer?
To see Gothic ported to the Nintendo Switch. To quote an old man from a cartoon: what a time to be alive. No joke, it's honestly nice to see the game get itself a port to a modern day platform.
This is awesome. Having classic Gothic playable natively with controller and better UI on PC will be so good. And I am buying remake day one if it is good.
Всё прекрасно, но раз уж переделали инвентарь, то можно было и в стиле Готики его нарисовать, а не прозрачные, серые, квадраты да кнопки. Поглядим да поиграем)
Gothic is a classic, one of the games of my childhood. 🖤 I really like how they enchanced & improved certain things (and that this remaster is coming also to PC) and not just transfered the game to Switch. 👍

I really like the improvements that seem in line with the immersiveness and will even try out the motion controls... most of all, i am happy that the new sh*t will also come to pc players, really want to play those mods with a gamepad
This is not the Remake. It IS the original just ported to switch :o. Remake is still in the works for PC and Consoles (I think?) Edit. Sorry I think I know what you mean now. So hyped to beat this for 20th time on Switch
Overall it's done really well. Don't care for the auto lock on combat system it locks onto the wrong target too long A should lock on like control on pc along with down on the dpad for block then it'd be perfect

THQ Nordic - *Where's the physical release in the USA?* Evan a limited one like Risen got on PS4? Hell, even if you give it a "limited" physical release & I'll buy it ............................................ (again).
There are still a lot of bugs, but they are not that annoying and sometimes fun (but they are still glitches, which is not good). Everything is in the tradition of modern game development - the game waited for release on the Switch for 22 years, but it came out crude.
Bethesda rpg's could never capture the amount of atmosphere, quest-depth and that hardcore style through you know the battle system. I always knew from back then this was a one of a kind rpg. And not too many people have played them comparitively, they should. I won't play until the remake as I know those games totally from back then.
I am not pleased. Today is the day of the premiere and my copy of the game STILL ISN’T SHIPPED. But maybe that’s better. You will have time for hotfixes -.-
I have annoying bug with the 10/100 division that more ore is calculated than you get. Hope you fix this yet, because this is a new bug in the old Gothic there was not the bug. Please fix 😊
