Those asking about getting the tire on/off: patience and strength. Get a tire iron/spoon/lever. If you plan on getting it off dry, wear gloves, but you pretty much need the tire iron to get the lip of the tire over the outside of the rim to get it off. Keep prying on either side until you have the majority of the tire over one side of the rim, then you can hold it upright and push the actual rim through. When getting it back on, I used Vasoline like Majin did, after getting the majority of it around the rim, but applied pressure using my feet/knees to hold the tire in place. Keep using the iron/lever to lip the tire back on the insides of the the rim. It is agonizing and requires patience, but you don't wanna take this to a bike shop just for them to tell you they can't do it.

Honeycomb is possible, the tire costs about $35 to $75. Amazon. The rim is a 6inch. 8.5inch solid/honeycomb tires Will Work 100%

What size Allen key did you use to remove the back paneling before using the socket wrench? None of the ones I have seen to fit and are stripping it.
@majinbuu6621
@majinbuu6621 Год назад
I use standard mm set. 1mm-2mm-2.5mm-3mm-4mm-5mm. The bolts are made of cheaply forged metals, so they strip easily. They also use thread lock blue glue which makes it also harder to remove without stripping. The trick is to hammer in a Torx Allen key that’s just a little bit bigger; than remove

How many times have you had to do this repair? I had to 3 times in 4 weeks! GoTrax has a problem with rear wheels deflated. It's a design defect. I discovered after I looked more closely at the problem...and Gotrax's evasive solution. There's too much tube in the lower profile rear wheel. The excess material allows the tube spin to and fro while braking, accelerated and decelerating. The volume inside the rear wheel is less than in the front wheel do to the motor design. Therefore, the tube material should be reduced. They've ignored that to save money by trying to use the same tube in front and back. Sorry, you can't do that. Physics doesn't work that way.
@Pritkc
@Pritkc Год назад
After a challenging three-hour effort, I finally managed to disassemble my rear tire, and surprisingly, your every statement proved to be correct. There was a minimum of 4 centimeters of excess material causing the difficulty in tire removal.

@majinbuu6621
@majinbuu6621 2 года назад
In my experience it doesn’t really work. Just makes a mess. I believe the pressure is too intense for it to actually work. I believe if you put a small amount/the right amount. It might help slow down the air loss; but not significant. The best way to protect yourself from punctures and pinches is to keep your tires at Full/Max PSI (maybe a little notches more) If you’re using the Scoot daily then at least once a week; top off air.

Make sure you’re always riding at full air psi or maybe just a little bit over. This will avoid inner tube pinch flats. This is when the rim pinches the inner tube.
