Watch as Colorado Avalanche forward Andre Burakovsky fires home a one-timer in overtime to give his team a Game 1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2022 Stanley Cup Final.
@@Trump4Life2024 Ovie had the GWG but the pair by Burakovsky were the key goals in a long series that had more momentum swings than a constipated John Tortarella presser following a playoff loss.
Huge play by big Val here, getting the puck on the rebound and immediately passing it to an open sniper in Burky. Perfect play and the lightning didnt have any chance to react in time. Go Avs go!
Tampa has shown they like to lose the 1st two games of a series in these playoffs only to come back and win in 7 games. So they have started out their game plan perfectly once again tonight 😁
@@alexyuk9118 maybe, but sometimes a player just needs to change teams to really unlock some kind of potential in them...I don't think you can tell for sure that he would become this good had he stayed with the Stars.
It's really the big difference to previous years. The past years, the Avs were already a really strong team, but if you were able to shut down MacKinnon, you had a good chance of beating them. This year, even if their opponents are able to shut down MacK, other guys keep stepping up. Kadri, Compher, Nichushkin, Lehkonen,... Also Makar went from a really good defender and key contributor to being able to completely taking over entire games.
@@seikoshinohara3084 Oh ok. You mean you're predicting this will be the best finals. I see your point. I agree these are the best 2 teams in the league going head-to-head.
Andre Burakovsky, after being injured multiple times this post-season by blocked shots, absolutely needed a goal for his efforts, and he has closed Game 1 for his team. 3 more wins and the Stanley Cup goes to the Colorado Avalanche. Though Im sure Tampa will put up a big fight on home ice.
Looking ahead to Game 3, it will be interesting depending on the result of Game 2. The Lightning have won 7 straight home games, but the Avs are yet to lose on the road.
The Colorado Avalanche has been my favorite NHL club since I was little. I like the current goal siren and also the jingle. To that I have to add the fans in the stands and the joy. And the Avs logo is beautifully designed - it's the most beautiful in the world. And this video is beautiful too. I love you all across the ocean in the state of Colorado! I bought a last second ticket that day my seat was in between two friends one of them asked me if we could switch seats we switched seats, they bought my drinks the rest of the night. Everything is a big blur after that, my reaction time was so slow when Burra scored I cheered like a day later LOL. Let's go AVS!
So glad he's with the Seattle Kraken. Seattle was the first city in the US to win a Stanley Cup. Let's be the last... .......But seriously.... Congrats to Colorado. They deserve it. Great club. Great city/state. Great fans..
Avs were taking it to Tampa Bay the entire game, they just need to make sure their brain farts don't cost them big leads like in the 2nd period. Way closer than it should have been.
Burakovsky scoring big goals against Tampa in the playoffs...I've certainly seen that before, it brings back good memories, and I wouldn't mind seeing him win another cup. That plus I've grown to really hate Tampa sports teams in general over the past few years and would love to see them humbled.
This game and series means a lot to me. This was thr first time I got to watch a hockey game with my grandpa and dad together and the avs went on to win the cup unfortunately my grandpa passed away later that year in September but a moment ill remember forever. ❤️💙
On the positive the Avalanche cannot be stopped. On the negative can you imagine what the salary cap is going to do for the Avalanche next season? These players will want way more money.
As badass of a goalie as Vas is he didn’t have a chance on that as he was squared off to the shooter and his D man let the pass through, awesome play though and great game both ways 🤙🤙
Vas blew the game with a weak goal. Think it was second one went through him. TB will beat these primidonna schmucks. If Point was 100% it would be over much faster but he’s clearly 50%. Guy shouldn’t be playing!
Tampa honestly played a great game. The didn't look lost like game 1 of the Rangers series. They really didn't leave Vassy out to dry like that game as well. They used their opportunities in the offensive zone well. They just didn't get that many in the 1st and 3rd period from what I saw. The Avs limited shots on Kuemper and for not playing for two weeks, he could have been way worse.
@@QueasyMcSqueezy when it’s tampa no one gives the other team credit. There’s always a “reason” why tampa lost like they lost the game for themselves. Avs just got the best of them.
