Many years of working on small mechanical devices has taught me a lot overtime that's why I enjoy the challenges of steppers that are mostly around 50 years old. The mechanics back in the day wouldn't have had this type of issue and clearly never serviced them or dismantled completely like we do after all the operators wanted the games going to get the quarters getting fed into them. So sometimes you just got to look where it shouldn't be!
