Looking at the big cabinet, seems as if you aren't doing your part to fight the ever increasing consumerism. Especially considering perfume (which we all love here) is such an unnecessary luxury item. Clean your own house before telling others how to clean theirs.

I hear you. We are ALL consumers here and we are all part of the problem. It’s a really nice sentiment that we should all stop buying, and maybe it will happen at some point, unrealistic as that sounds. What I’m saying isn’t stop buying altogether, but if you really need to buy a fragrance, the very least make sure it’s something you like and will not in fact resell after a week. This is why I am against blind and impulsive buying. Test a fragrance, get a decant, get a sample. This is why I blame brands that do not commercialize sample sets. Besides the fact that it’s dishonest, it promotes mindless buying. Nobody is stopping anyone from indulging. That’s why we’re all here. And i have a rather large collection, it’s true. But I’ve never told my followers that they “need” to buy things, that they must do the same. It’s very easy to feel attacked when this subject comes along, so one must always remind oneself: who are we really mad at?

@@MemoryFlo Understood, but it is a contentious issue due to the hypocrisy of most people spouting nonsense about the earth catching on fire without minimizing their on consumption. It's an extreme position that is wrong. It is a money grab and control mechanism by governments and people blindly follow. That's all.

I just sprayed this perfume- my bottle is also around 2018. I love this chocolate rose delicacy and I often wear it to bed. I wish they revived Iris ganache in the same way!

I wore Shalimar Millesime Iris to bed so many times since I got it so I understand completely. I'm guessing Iris Ganache could make a reappearance if we shout about it enough. Would love to see people complain about how 'it's reformulated and garbage now' 😂😂😂

Prices aren't an issue until they become the issue. In the internet influencer sphere, the main drive is buy buy buy, it's never stop and think.

I didn't buy Gourmand coquin at that time because it was not my type. Chocolate is tricky for me and I was not a fan of it. However French Kiss was a complete love, I still cherish my bottle and I didn't find the violet lipsticky facet of it in Rose Chérie. FK has something vintage but still joyful in a va va voom kind of way 😄 I still hope they will bring back French Kiss and Mademoiselle ❤ The extraits were OK. I really enjoyed the bergamot but when I saw the price ... well no 😅 (I'll keep using my Le Frenchy instead 😜)

Thank you for sharing this! I do have a video where I compare French Kiss to Rose Cherie and they are definitely not the same scent! Rose Cherie was much closer to LPRN, muskier and no violet lipsticky facet, you are very correct. I should have mentioned this. Also, I did mention I haven’t smelled FG yet, when I will, I will do a side by side comparison. French Kiss was va va voom, in a cheeky, Lolita, kind of way. So Bergamote Fantastico is similar to Le Frenchy? Ha!

Rose Cherie was not comparable to French Kiss. The latter has much more cherry, iris and of course, Violet. I didn’t pick up even a hint of GC in the Shalimar Iris flanker… it was more on par with Mon Guerlain for me. I do appreciate hearing how different we each experience scent!

I do have a video where i compare Rose Cherie to French Kiss and they are not the same scent! You are correct and I forgot to mention this in this current video! It is very true that we experience scent very differently, this is why no matter how well we hear someone describe a scent, our own experience is more important, hence why people get disappointed when they blind buy. I will wear Millesime Iris thinking of Mon Guerlain, but so far, my description still stands. Lots of powedery cacao, reminiscent of Gourmand Coquin 🤷🏽‍♂️ And it was the same with every Millesime: Millesime Vanilla reminded me of a more rosy Bois d’Armenie, while Millesime Tonka reminded me of a cross between Shalimar and Hypnotic Poison. A nose is a nose is a nose 😅

appreciate a lot that you added a climate change topic !!! Very important ... my longtime, lifetime agreement and urgent need to doing everything to protect and not overuse unnecessary flights, short drives into the shops, malls ...etc. ... when everybody starts to do even the small something, together it make a difference

thank you, I barely mentioned it, but it really makes me mad when brands are greenwashing with all their recycled glass and refillable containers (that you can't even refill properly, you need a receipt and only certain stores can do it) while they do not even sell samples! And in the stage of climate change that we are in, we're really out of time so we should do something. And I agree, it is about you and me, sure, but it's the big brands first and foremost. They are doing the most harm.

@@MemoryFlo Please stop with the climate sensationalism. We are not "out of time". If you really cared about the planet you wouldn't be buying so much stuff, including scented water from huge conglomerates. If people stop buying, they have no money. Don't blame them... it's YOU. The consumer. "They are doing the most harm" - you're funding it. Virtue signaling at its finest. Think for yourself. Good vid tho. :)
