A good place to find the thermal fuses is at a camper supply store. They are used in many RV water heaters. The Gourmia products seem to be cheaply built with short lives. I have finally switched to a Sur La Table unit and it has lasted much longer then the gourmia units so far. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. wanted the Cusinart one (that is similar to your's) Costco had but my wife didn't. Said they were to hard to clean with how the whole inside doesn't pull out and the glass window plus it was too deep and would stick out a lot. The first one was replaced by gourmia and then after the second one went I figured that we got $49 worth of use from it and just tossed it. This one is not our favorite and I plan on replacing it once we decide on one with a larger basket. The heat in this is very uneven compared to the last ones. Would it work to batter, bread, and freeze without pre-cooking? Then you would cook in air fryer only and avoid the extra oil.

We really liked the first ones when they worked but they had the exact same problem so they definitely were not made to last. I figured the new one may have solved the problems but they messed up the basket size and evenness of cooking. However, I am not sure how much of a 'high temp' they are don't think carefully placing the tray in place will damage the coating. I think it contributes to the smell and possible plastic/rubbery taste...

Pull it out a couple inches from the wall. I just tried the big Cuisinart and it had to be over a foot from the wall because so much heat blew out the back also the fan wouldn't shut off pulled the plug after waiting 1/2 hour to cool with the fan still running. Returned that one because it was a fire hazzard.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 absolutely. And it was totally and completely my dumb butt fault. I was mentioning that to someone at Costco today in Altamonte Springs Florida. I was picking up this particular unit to give it a shot. And this young couple said "oh did you return it to the manufacture and complain?' (Oh yes, the youth who think that everything is always somebody else's fault. ) And I said, "No, Aimstood in front of a mirror and I fired myself for being such an idiot. I mean sometimes you have to live and learn." But that was a too-inexpensive learning curve. I actually don't eat much beef or chicken or pork anymore. I am into fish, shellfish, vegetables while I'm trying to get cuter. So I am looking for some good tips and tricks. But I thank you so much for the video. I just didn't want anyone in just thinking they could dumb too and just keep that sucker on the counter, under a cabinet and just barely pull it out and use it. Well, I guess you can.
