Right? We can’t even disagree any more because we can’t agree to the base reality. I miss republicans who actually had policy opinions other than “whatever the leader says today”. Fiscal responsibility, states rights, etc. They did not even come up with a platform this year??
@@rrpostalagain yep former Republican here. They aren’t interested in policy or governance. Why? Because governance and good policy is hard work. Why would they want to actually work?
Sexually assaulting a girl at college is not 'life experience'. If that's life experience, I want public officials without it. Very telling standpoint.
The Commonwealth Club is missing the point! Their problem is in Sacramento, not Washington DC. Clean up your own back yard before finding a mess in another's backyard, what an opportunity! When that is done you will find a willing audience!
Christie talks about going to dinner with Donald Trump at a fancy Manhattan restaurant, and yet not being able to eat anything because he was allergic to what Trump ordered for him .... scallops, and he hates lamb. I'm just thinking Christie could have done us all a big favor and just eaten Donald Trump. Too bad! ;-)
If they remake the Sopranos there's probably a part for a two faced Quid Pro Quo politician who's in the mobs pocket. He doesn't even need any artistic direction.
Hahahaha, I have caught Chris Christy on a few radio shows, and then on Bill Maher. From the time I laid eyes on this guy he disgusted me and I have never liked him .... BUT, I have to admit that after listening to him talking I can see his appeal, or what I imagine is his appeal to some people. He is a pretty smart guy, he is personable and self-depricating ( of course what else would he be ). I found myself liking him, or rather the way he comes off personally in an interview. I hate his politics and would never vote for him. But it is helpful to know that the guy is not all bad. If that is what it takes to be a good politician ... to be able to say about something like Donald Trump after they treat you like dog-doodoo that you still like him and consider him a friend, I have to affirm that I guess I am no politician and never will be. I can see where Christy would be good at bringing people together and reaching a consensus. He would have made a better President than Donald Trump. That doesn't mean much though.
No.It actually doesn’t mean much to say he’d have made a better president than trump.Thats not a difficult task .Hes a different kind of scumbag to trump and not an authoritarian or nationalist .I don’t think So at any rate I can’t stand him. He’s a slime ball .A liar of the first order. He’s glib and as you said self deprecating but those traits in him aren’t endearing to me They seem to exist in him to disarm you more than anything else.I never bought him from the from the first time that I laid eyes on him either and still don’t .
Of course we care very much about the characteristics of our president, whether he is a honest, moral, respectful figure. But did we have any better choice in the area of moral excellence? More than anything we totally agree with Trump’s policy. Considering what he has been up against, we admire his courage.
I gotta say that Northam seems like he should not be so beat up ... for a guy who stood up to the South and tore down Confederate statues, I think that says a lot. I hate those Confederate statues, and having been there, I hate the whole mountain face of Stone Mountain Georgia - blow it up. And most of those statues are not that old, they were done in the 40's and 60's. There is not history there.
