Shortly after Governor Hochul deployed State Police and the National Guard into NYC’s transit hubs, an MTA worker was assaulted with a bottle in the Bronx. NBC New York’s Andrew Siff reports.
Are you packing a Knife? In Defense? This is where the escalation gets Serious and the Government has put its foot down. A small confined space as of Today gets looked at! To bring in the National Guard is a Temporary Measure as the last time the "Attack" was not prepared for and Umm. Yeah! Over Kill? Dunno. I travel light to work so easy.
Exactly! These criminals go out because of the Bail Reform Law supported by the Governor of NY and DA Bragg and some of these NY judges! Maybe the cops can drop them off the front door of these Judges and the DA Braggs front door and let them know that they owe their freedom to these folks and that they live here. Maybe they will be so inclined to stay there! See how they like their actions then?
@@Okuti8779 Hey this anger and craziness all over the country is what you get when you screw with the people for as long as these bought corporate politicians continue to push us into poverty, misery, unemployment, etc...We need a third party candidate to let loose of this old, corrupt guard.
3 STEPS to TYRANNY: CAUSE the PROBLEM by encouraging crime and uncontrolled immigration. WAIT whilst the problem WORSENS. Provide the 'SOLUTION' that was the GOAL all along.
I don’t understand these people. If you try to keep them safe they complain. If you don’t keep them safe. They complain. Human beings are never satisfied with anything you do for them.
People are frustrated because NY Democrats approved laws to decriminlize crimes including many felonies while defunding police. THey created the problem.
NYC still has bail reform which means that even if a criminal is caught, they just get let out of jail. So having all these soldiers does nothing in the grand scheme of things. That’s why people are annoyed. Do some research. 🔬
NYC still uses “no-bail” laws. So even if someone is arrested, they will be let out again. Having these soldiers will not fix the real problems and they will be gone in a few weeks. That’s why people are annoyed. Do more research…
This is the dumbest thing ever. Do they seriously think that the criminals aren't aware of this? They can now just bring a weapon like a knife, put it on their ankles, and have their socks and pants to cover it. smh
Nothing more than " window dressing '' If they were even slightly concerned about your safety they would keep criminals in jail and set bail very high.
Criminals carry their weapons on their person not in a purse or handbag. Good grief. Police and national guard need to be stationed all over the city not just at Times Square and Grand Central. and they need to look for criminals not checking bags of regular citizens.
They aren't doing anything but harrassing the good people just trying to get home or to work. Criminals still skate passed and run the subway! She thinks Criminals are going to listen to the National guard? What a joke!
well why stop old ladies since we know they don't cause hard. so profile away until everyone stands up and reports criminals rather than saying not my problem i'm staying out of it
"We are violating Fourth Amendment rights without bias against any particular race, sex, color, or creed." - Mayor Adams "I am oppressing New Yorkers so they can feel safer on the subway." - Governor Hochul
"Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make," Some law-abiding citizens may have their bags searched, but it's a sacrifice the Real Democrats are willing to make.
Oh theyre on the major touristy locations but if you see them they wont be inside the train platforms or inside the travelling train where most of the real crime happens.
The presence makes ppl feel safer, and most of the time presence is enough deterrent. But their presence also makes others feel uncomfortable and gives off sort of a dystopian vibe
@@Sufferingsassafrass It's true although at this point it amazes me that people are still standing on the edge of the platform while waiting for the train (and worse with AirPods on).
Cost more to deploy the soldiers than it does to hire more cops. These soldiers weapons are not loaded, they have no authority to detain or arrest anyone.
Seeing this doesnt make me feel safe. It makes me feel like things have gone terribly, terribly wrong. It is a sign of failure. I mean, putting soldiers on the ground walking around with AKs doesn't make me want to visit there. Just saying. It reminds me of videos I used to see of Israeli soldiers patroling. I just don't like seeing that on the streets and common places of America. The sight of soldiers on the streets and common places doesnt make me feel safe. It makes me feel alarmed. ❤
I'm glad to see that they're trying to do something about the crime, but the searching the bags is going to lead to lawsuits because I believe they're violating the Fourth Amendment. I believe their presence in those areas will stop the crime .
She calls in the National Guard to help, and violate people's 4th Amendment Rights. And then she is surprised that the National Gaurd comes with Long Guns. And Bans Them from having long Guns. Who does she think 🤔 She is?! Did she think that the National Guard was going to come with Flowers and Chocolates?! Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!! You can't make this stuff up People...!
Have them RIDE the Trains and patrol the subway platforms all over the system. Not just stand there in the entrance as the lady says and randomly inspect. Have a strong presence and do a walk inside all the subway cars back and forth as well as another set of them patrolling the platforms. 2 separate teams.
What about the other stations? Is there going to be national guards in every subway station? If not then there is no point in having national guards check peoples bags if they are not going to in every station. A criminal armed with a weapon can enter the train through a station that doesn't have national guards
Wait, what, but, but, but those national guard troops are carrying those big black scary rifles, better yet, they have fully automatic capabilities, unlike the ones the civilians have that they want to ban!😱
What’s the purpose of having all this extra added “security” if they’re only stationed at Times Square and Grand Central? They’re not even posted on the platform. All the perps have to do is go to another station and commit the crime. Make it make sense 🧐
This DOESN'T make sense IF you think the goal is to lower crime. BUT it DOES make sense once you realise that the real goal is to introduce more tyranny to CONTROL LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS.
The human rights activists claims that sending in the Nat'l Guard is over the top, but doesn't specify why and offers no alternate solutions. Another woman can't understand the reason for checking bags even though there have been incidents of shootings, stabbings, and slashing. smdh
Why were the women victims damaged their bodies first such as loss of Legs, eyes, and lives then the gov of NY started to act in the subway? Where were the National Guard before these happened to prevent crimes against women?
So they’re letting people know in advance that the national guard is checking bags at Penn Station, grand central and the major transit hubs. So if you really want to do some harm, wouldn’t you just avoid these stations or pack your weapons somewhere other than a bag?
Exactly! This DOESN'T make sense IF you think the goal is to lower crime. BUT it DOES make sense once you realise that the real goal is to introduce more tyranny to CONTROL LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS.
Tbh the cops don’t care I seen two people arguing in the gun hill train station while they were arguing someone hops the train I look to the right cops just chillen 🤦🏾♂️
