It’s referring back to the original comment “she looks like a nice person”. Dad and mom must be also nice people. Therefore, kids are a reflection or even an extension of their parents.
She does seem very sweet, this whole ticket and their families (particularly Walz) couldn't be more different from much (I know Fred and Mary Trump are good people) of the Trump clan.

Retail politics at its finest. A few years ago, my wife was in Minnesota on a work trip and she ran into Walz, the governor, and had a nice conversation with him at McDonalds. Genuine and relatable. I think it’s great that the unpretentious Hope is always with him.

You can just tell how real Tim Walz is when he remarks about how he has already met that young woman before. It's shows, in really granular detail, how he isn't just going through the motions and shaking hands, but actually meeting people where they are and really listening to them.

After the Guard, This man felt he could serve the military better by being in Congress and worked very well on military affairs during that time. Now he wants to serve again as VP. I try my best to not be a bias person but man there is a very clear distinction between Walz walking into a public area and then JD Vance walking into a public area. The contrast is night and day. Relatable vs Weird
