Over the next decade, the racial wealth gap is projected to cost the national economy over $1 trillion in GDP. And that's not GDP of any one group - that's GDP.
We must close the racial wealth gap if we're going to create a stronger economy that benefits every community.
I was proud to join leaders at the Black Wealth Summit.
From raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and awarding government contracts to our women and minority-owned businesses, our administration is building an economy where we leave no one behind.

Working for Progressive Maryland from 2016-2018 as Baltimore Lead Organizer working on the $15 minimum living wage, Prosecutor Accountability, Mass Incarceration ( to name a few). At that time Progressive Maryland supported Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Ben Jealous, who prepared the way for Governor Wes Moore. Congratulations to your winning campaign and administration. Keep doing big things!

Every black American elected official MUST be laser focused on MWBE goals! Rather it’s the school board/county board/city-town council /state /federal! Aka every aspect of government for when it comes to spending with black American (descendants of USA chattel slavery) contracts/vendors just like in ATLANTA via Maynard Jackson! And I’m glade Wes Moore is doing that

As a fellow veteran and independent, I look at this man and wonder why we have the president choices we have. Yes, I'm Caucasian. Does that even matter? No. I wanted to hear a fellow Army vet speak on this topic with an open heart. My brother is African American, not by birth but as much my family as an Italian can have. We both had the same problems growing up, but we both persevered to become the lower middle class tax payers we are today. All I ask is that we provide opportunities and judge based on engagement or lack thereof.
