What a great hike!!! WOW the scenery!!!! Looked a bit brisk but well worth it, I would say. georgeous rolling hills....colorful trees all the waters edge and THAT WATERFALL!!!! What a great place!!!! Thank you SO much!!
Thanks Joy but my wife was not there this time but she did get a kick out of the comment, all good fun. I am fortunate to have a lot of friends to go hiking with, male and female so you are by no means the first to make that mistake lol. Thanks for watching Joy and take care, cheers Alan
Another windy summit! Lake District is amazing, I barely knew this natural park and I'm getting to know it better thanks to you guys. Love the mist, the autumn colors and the weather.
Thank you very much for your kind words and I was over the moon to win, especially with such an awesome gaw. First time up Gowbarrow Fell for me but will definitely be going back, real nice walk out. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Any day out in the lakes, is always a good day,. Have to agree with that mate, amazing views and waterfalls, photos looked amazing, looked steep in parts, really nice walk, with the colours in the trees 👌👍
Such an awesome hike..loved the waterfalls..such a beautiful area..I always bring up the rear in our hikes..I'm slow moving lol...very nice video Alan..thank you for sharing so much beauty..Jeanie
Thanks very much for watching Jeanie and I am happy to be at the back or the front but usually the back lol. As long as I am out on the fells, I am happy, cheers Alan
I guess that this is the payback you get for the summer ending, great colors in the tress, which I love looking at. Thank you very much for watching, cheers Alan
LOL.... "Who believes the forecast" ;) I've learned that when I am in the UK. Great hike Alan, my BF and I hiked Aira Force last year while in the Lake District. So beautiful there. Amazing photos from the walk with Mrs. Metalman!!!
It's a real nice walk although not the best of weather. The funny thing is, you are the third person to mention Mrs Metalman in this video and she was at home lol. I think she is getting a complex hahaha. Thank you very much for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Oh I thought you said that the sunny photos of Ullswater were taken when you and Mrs. Metalman were out for a walk earlier in the month? I guess I misunderstood :) I am playing the German card now ha ha ha
@@TheMrsKKB - no you are correct, the sunny photos were from the pervious week when we had great weather and Mrs MetalMan was with me. On this one, she took I one look at the very changeable weather and said, I think I will give this one a miss lol!
Thanks Shaun and I have this on my list for years, just never got round to it but pleased I did in the end. Thanks very much for watching buddy, cheers Alan
Stunning video there Alan. Great hike. Steep in place but worth the slog, rewarded with incredible views. Fantastic photo’s btw. Thank’s for sharing, atvb to you👍😊
Wow, very beautiful Lake District is good for outdoors activities such as hiking, camping, fishing and swimming. Left a super like for this awesome work my dear friend...
Alan another great hike my friend! Looked like the weather was going to turn for the worst but it ended up being OK. Great views of the Lake from on top of the peak. How about that waterfall? Really pretty falls! That was neat that they had a bridge on top of it. Thanks for sharing brother.
What a walk, Alan. A free car park, you leading from the front AND you fond a bench to sit on... The force of nature wasn't bad either. ;-) A great time of year to be outdoors. All the best.
Thanks Max and that for me is the payback for the summer ending, the great colors you get at this time of year, cheers and thanks for watching, ATB Alan
Looked like a lovely hike Alan!! A nice circular! Lovely views from the top of the fell!...and finishing at the falls....pity the rain came in... Sunglasses will do it every time!! Autumn colours are stunning aren't they?? 😀👍
Stunning waterfalls down there to look at,the sound is amazing when up close to them ...Was up Gowbarrow in 2013 and was well windy and muddy but good views from the trig. Looks like you all had a good day out on this one... and the bonus freebie car park as well..happy days.ATB Mark.
Free car park always makes me happy lol. Not the best of weather but for the time of the year, cannot complain. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
great walk alan nearly did this walk in the summer with my family so thanks for the preview will get it done one day lol love aira force and them autumn colours on the trees were brilliant and the views over Ullswater love this area thanks m8
Thanks for watching Nigel and just so pleased to still be able to get out in November, although it looks like winter is on the way, unfortunately, cheers Alan
Hello my metal loving friend! Been a while. Nice to see you out enjoying and sharing the lovely scenery again. I’ve Been out snow shoeing when Times allows it. Not quite up to the knees yet. See ya again soon 🤘🔥🍻
So many beautiful spots and fantastic company for hike! Dear Alan, you always know how to choose a phenomenal places for making videos. I mean, just take a look at 3:25 , 3:50, 5:28, 6:10, 7:17! Charming! Thanks for sharing dear friend!
Yes to free car park! 😃 LOL that's right, who believes the forecast 🤣 Top was windy and amazing views! Great photos too Alan. Once again, looks like everyone had a great day despite wind and a little mist. What a trail, would love to hike it! Nice tip. The falls are stunning. Thank you for taking us along, always great scenery and fun to watch 👍
AMAZING view at 1:33 and 6:10. Liked this hike so much I saved it in my maps. Planning to come to UK for WC cricket next year, hope to move around a little. And from one bandanna man to another may i say I really like the one you're wearing.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to watch, I really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy your time in the UK and we see you out in the mountains, cheers Alan
Love the walk! Great walk to some amazing views! I go slow and steady, not getting out of breath too much; therefore, I find my recovery time is dramatically lessened. For sure love a good meal afterwards too. Thank you for the inspiration to go take a nice long walk today💜happy trails!
Looks like you had another good day. That is a nice walk taking in Aira Force & Gowbarrow Fell. Good views of Ullswater when you come down from Gowbarrow Fell and good to see the Autumn Colours in the trees. Cheers. Eddie.
Cannot complain, although, not as nice as the weather you always get lol. I think the only bad weather you have had this year is when you came out with me lol. Thanks for watching Eddie, cheers Alan
Good one Alan another great hike. I remember those falls... on that trip 4 tents got destroyed at a campsite, during a meet-up. Gale force winds and torrential rain meant the falls were full.I can't remember if you've hiked to Sprinkling Tarn but that's a nice hike. ATB.
Thanks Chris and yep, I know it is your favorite time of the year and the colors are pretty special, I must admit. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks very much for watching Anthony and I have walked various parts of the Ullswater Way but not the whole walk in one go, so maybe got to add that to my list as well, cheers Alan
Yep, not like me that, I am normally way at the back filming and taking photos but not the best weather for either to be honest. Appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch, cheers Alan
Brilliant Alan still need to get cracking on our video you were on go fast tablets don’t doubt yourself your a great Walker always a pleasure to walk with you take care Leona and Chris
Hey man, thank you so much for watching and so sorry it has taken me so long to respond, as I have just seen this tonight. Very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Thoroughly enjoyed that. I always think of Gowbarrow as a friendly fell. No real crags or rocky bits, great views on the east side, all topped off by Aira Force. The autumn colours around Ullswater are particularly good. You got some great shots of the colours and the falls, despite the murky weather. Makes me think I should be heading over Kirkstone Pass today. Thanks again, Atb, Eric
Well hopefully you get the same weather as us today Eric, as it is lovely in Co Durham, shame I have got to be indoors all day. Thanks very much for watching Eric, cheers Alan
It looked an interesting Fell to walk Alan with many twists and turns and views of course. Yes, throw the forecast out. No good on these isles. Aira Force? Hey that sounds like ereford. Fabulous falls mind you that everyone appeared happy with steep ground and all. I enjoyed your snaps of the fellowship. Take care Alan. All the best. Mark
Thanks very much Mark, real nice bunch of people to hike with and no mater what the weather, I alway enjoy the Lakes. Thanks very much for watching buddy, cheers Alan
Beautiful views in your part of England Alan!! Windy as, well you know, on top of that mountain too! Lol. I seen some of the other metal music videos too. You play? I played bass guitar in a classic rock cover band called Voodoo Train. We played ALOT of 60s, 70s british rock stuff. Stones, Bad Company, Clapton, Cream. Great music from across the pond!! 👍🎵🎶
Awesome, I was brought up on all them bands but more heavy metal today, hence the channel name. Thanks very much for watching, it is very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Lovely up there Alan and a nice circular. Last time i was up there was on the Ullswater Way a couple of years back with very similar weather. Like you say though mate it's all good in the Lakes. Great commentary and editing Alan, really enjoyed it. ATB mate. Jim.
The fair weather photos are stunning mate 👌 Thanks for sharing your hike it's truly a magnificent part of the world wish I lived closer to it! Take care Roo
Well done Alan and it’s certainly a lovely walk, I did it earlier on in the year and as you say the views over Ullswater are outstanding. Cheers and keep it metal. 🤟
Thanks Mike and I cannot believe it has taken me so long to get round to doing this one, worth it mind. Always appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment, cheers Alan
You're right.....any day out there is a good day, but the photos of the clear day were really beautiful. Be careful, if you get out in front much, people will start expecting it 😆 Lol Another great hike.
I am new to your community I just dropped in from VW Outdoorsman *Very nice footage I've hit the 💥Bell I've given you a big thumbs up👍 keep up the great work I look forward to hearing from you God bless,,By4Now Ken*
@@AlanMETALMAN well thank you appreciate you getting back to me keep up the good work. Don't be a stranger I have a how to channel home on home repair. Presently there's a few videos of my puppy but that's not what my channel is about thanks again bye for now Ken
What's a hike without overcast skies, rock fences and different animals always in the background? lol! Another nice video, Alan. Loved the waterfall. Be careful, you're going to wear out your hiking friends! :)
Funny enough Chris was laid up the next day with a swollen foot lol but I am sure he will be back and out again asap. Thanks so much for watching , cheers Alan
Nice hike Alan and the waterfall at the end was great. I was also away looking at a waterfall in my last video, its a good time of the year to film them with the amount of rain falling. Atb Glenn.
Ha! I know we don't believe the forecast here either. But I guess they do a better job than we guessing what the weather is going to do, lol. Sounds like a super windy day, but those views from the top are more than worth the hike! Hahaha, took me a second to clue into "watering the plants" lol. Wow, look at the amount of water coming out of those falls! You can feel the power of that water.
We live in England, in the North East of the country, although this was filmed in the North West. Thank you very much for watching and sorry it has taken me so long to get back but just seen your comment now. Cheers Alan
A great hike in a wonderful area. The weather could have been a little bit better, maybe. Many Greetings, Hermann PS: You seem to be the physically fitest of your team.
Thanks Hermann and yes, the weather was a bit disappointing but fir mid November, we normally have aot worse here, so I will not complain. Thank you so much for watching, cheers Alan
Not used to seeing you at the front Metalman haha looked a stunning walk in the autumn colours, the walk looked great but the waterfall sealed the deal for me. Can't wait to get in the lakes, it's been long overdue. Move aside Metalman let the steel city women through!!! Haha
😱 Steel City Women 😵. Must admit, I was surprised I was in the lead as well, I think Mrs Metalman must be secretly feeding me HRT, as I was bouncing lol. Thanks very much for watching and it would be great, to see you two young lasses back in the Lakes, cheers Alan
another great video Alan.. i was planning Roseberry Topping today but the mud up there will be awful so i,ve cancelled . will be slippy as hell. that was a great walk Alan . atb Terry
I was up there in March Terry, in a right bloody mud bath and no exaduration to say I skied down from the top lol. Thanks for watching buddy, cheers Alan
A Free car park!. They're rarer than a honest politician 😎. Sorry again for playing catch-up on your video's my friend. Need to get my arse in gear and enjoy your adventures. ATB
Thanks Jim and I love getting a freebie, to be honest, do not mind paying a fair amount but when they expect you to pay £7 for a bit of flat mud with massive potholes in, well that gets my blood boiling. Thanks very much for watching Jim, cheers Alan
oh my.. how can I am so late on this.. 1 week after you put out. sorry for that.. here I am and as usual the wind is very strong there. wow.. the clouds is so low and thick and also the fog . its still beautiful but you have snow already? the waterfall behind is amazing
We are forcast to get some snow this week and the weather is starting to turn very cold now, which is a shame, as it has been the best summer I can remember. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
