Not done this one Alan......so it was of great interest for me. Very picturesque from 'the get go'......15 wainwrights in a week 😮, well done mate......................lovely scenery very early into the walk and birdsong, poncho's are very useful, you dont have to faff around with zips or the rucksack cover.......................loved that dry-stonewall meandering into the distance. Superb views for the height Alan...........A very emotional summit for you no doubt(it showed), so very sorry to hear about your friend and well done to you for a beautiful tribute speech........................great drone footage Alan(I could'nt trust myself with one, it'd bugger off ha ha)...................tell you what Alan with all the heather at the summit this would be even more spectacular in August/September with the purples....................''bum-shuffle'' often required at our age mate. Always worth popping a couple of quid in the mountain rescue box..............A thoroughly enjoyable hike Alan.............ATB.......Stu/Wendy......👍👍
Thanks very much for watching and I have only done 4 brand new Wainwrights in the whole of this year due to the awful weather lol. I was a sad summit but I wanted to say a few words but also make it a happy video, as I know Lynne would have wanted that. Looked like a nice place to stay. Seemed like they had lots of amenities and great food choices too. Even for those specialty diets. Glad that you two enjoyed your stay and the food. We have not stayed in an inn before. Looked like a good option compared to the chain hotels. Nice review. Have a great day.

Every video I have watched of these two Fells people have said it was totally boggy and very uninspiring but I found them both great. It was a bit wet in parts but it is all about picking the right time, which I did and got back to the car with two dry feet. Thanks very much for watching, very much appreciated, cheers Alan

that looked a more pleasant way to do it than it was for me.. i personally don't like driving that narrow road to armboth car park so i avoid it.. i liked armboth fell, not a sexy one as ya say but lots of little summits to explore if ya had the time, i find it very interesting to look at while driving down on the a591.. good stuff, tek care lad :)
I know what you men and I dread those very narrow lake District roads but I was parked up at 07.00, so did not pass one car. Two fells that I was not looking forward too but turned out to be very nice, I really enjoyed them but it was comparatively dray, which obviously helped. Could not believe in 5 minutes not one but two sets of girls came up but not the ones I was waiting for. I chickened out of doing this last year and when I was removing the last two items of clothing and caught slight on myself in the camera lens, I nearly chickened out again - what a sight! LOL! We looked at doing those fells this weekend, we’re out off by the boggy reviews, however they looked fine on your vlog. So let me get this right, 69 year old fit bloke gets invited on a naked walk with two younger females…..all very plausible so far🤔, said females chicken out and make up some excuse and go to a bar in Windermere instead…..also very plausible 🤔, fit blokes wife (a canny lass from County Durham) thinks this is all an acceptable idea and true story…..I don’t think so ?😉. You are much braver than me. I know a few nudists and there's nothing wrong with nudism but I much prefer wearing clothes! Especially when hiking- too many nettles, thorny hedges and thistles! Not to mention the biting insects- horse flies, ouch!😯

Well, this thumbnail and title certainly grabbed our attention!! 😲😂Haha, not surprised you felt a tad nervous! Hehe, we had a similar experience back in the day when we were driving home from a trip away and my father-in-law desperately needed a Number 2. We found an isolated spot in a field behind a little stone wall. As he crouched down, we noticed a couple on horseback approaching. It was hilarious! They said a jolly "good morning!" to him and he gave an embarrassed wave back! 🤣🤣Well done on going ahead with the challenge, Alan 👍🤗

You've now got another 12 months of thinking about it ... not meaning to worry you at all haha That said, I'm sure it was fun but I'm pleased you took a lot of care not to be seen by anybody that would have been inappropriate. Those fells tend to have more of a reputation of being the boggy ones but didn't look too bad on your sunny day .. how lucky ! You got some great views too. Interesting to hear about your first car .. My first was a VW Beetle. It dropped to bits after about 12 months so I bought ..... A Vauxhall Viva 😃
