Bought my first Goyard card holder in Paris in 2004, it’s my daily wallet and still looks / functions great. Started looking at the second hand market for other colors and your video is very informative.
Funny how they price the fake relative to the actual price. The real one is already crazy expensive and the awful quality fake one is only priced 1/3 -ish less. It should cost less than $5.

+newmoon320 Haha thanks for noticing! I usually film in the middle of the day after I've been up running around for a while, so I'm always wearing different pieces. I'm going to be opening a case against the seller and sending this fake one back tomorrow so I can get a refund. I'll keep you updated with what happens :)

Hmm I found this same card holder on Poshmark that's blue and seems to pass all of the tests this video did. The only concern is that the seller says they have no box or dust cloth. Also a really good price too so I'm kind of skeptical
Hey, hope you don't mind me asking but how did you get your money back from eBay? I'm in the same situation now, but eBay is asking me to provide proof that the item is fake. Did you go to the store directly to ask for a written confirmation?
I attached pictures to my eBay case comparing the fake with the real, going through the points of why I knew i was sent a knockoff (logo stamp was wrong, dimensions were off, materials were plastic instead of leather or canvas, etc.). It also helped me that the seller had 0 transactions so I guess they figured he had no credibility. Message me on ig if you need more help!
Just in case it's more convenient for you to reply here, eBay is basically saying that they won't give me back my money unless I can give them official confirmation from Goyard with the Goyard letterhead that the cardholder I received was a fake. Do you have any advice for this? Will they give me this if I go into the store? Thank you.
+ART RAGE Thanks! I don't own any Goyard belts myself, but I'd try to check closely for the stitching, pattern quality on the canvas, and make sure the Goyard stamp looks like mine on the wallet!
You get what you pay for guys. There is low quality replicas and high quality actual mirror replicas. If you’re going to buy fakes buy the good stuff. What’s the point in having it if people can tell just by glancing?
No way that is 100 dollar fake, i have a 30 dollor fake and everything you said my fake has. Why would any fool pay 400 for something you can get for 30.
yeah on the canvas? should it be under the embossed tag or the opposite side? I'm looking at one now that looks v good and like the real one but the go yard name painted on is on the same side
In my experience, the signature on the canvas tends to be in the middle of the 'back' of the card holder, which would be on the opposite side from the Goyard stamp. I'm not sure if that varies depending on the age of the piece, but all of the ones I've owned were made that way.
Some Goyard wallets don't have the logo at all. I bought mine about 10 years ago in blue, and when I went back to buy another item I took out my wallet and noticed the missing logo. So I panicked. But knowing I bought it from them (Paris) the salmon assured me that not all small wallets have the logo because the piece of canvas is so large, sometimes the artisans just cut a piece off it, without the logo. In fact, he said mine would be a collectible!!! Also, in some products the logo may not be centered. It is because the logo is spread across 20cm vertically, and 18 cm horizontally.
+Brandon Victoire. If you are in the states, just pay 25. They ship anywhere within the states and I heard some department stores that has Goyard, if you have a member of some sort, they ship for free.
Oh god🤦🤦 what is that fake??? Luckily I have the chance to buy directly from China and the fake that I have is exactly like the original... for approx. 15$ Nice video for the true scrubs tho
