When you add documents to the folder you are using for RAG do you have to rebuild the index before those new documents will appear? From what you say it looks like documents that are ADDED will become pasrt of the index automatically - but what about documents that are removed - do they get removed from the index?

Yes, you're correct that adding new documents to the folder used for RAG doesn't automatically update the index. To include the new documents in the index, you need to rebuild the index. When you rebuild the index, the following happens: New documents added to the folder are incorporated into the index. Documents that were previously in the index but have since been removed from the folder are removed from the index. Changes to existing documents are reflected in the updated index.

where is AI? nowhere there is no such thing as AI, its just a Buzzword.. Wordprediction, based on weights, dude this is simple math, and some python code.. no AI there..

Many of these large language models can write code in seconds that would take me hours, and I am very very good at writing code. When we leave that realm and talk about other fields of knowledge, the LLMs are WAY ahead of me; answering questions that would take me hours of research to answer. I don't know where you are getting "no ai there". If these LLMs are not intelligent, then I am also not intelligent. Perhaps you are seeing something that I am not seeing; I want to learn, so please tell me what I am missing.

Maybe, but you need a ton of training data, hard python code and ton of GPU power to train it. Not just some simple math and python code. LLM's take millions of dollars just to train.
