Can you test real power consumption of gtx 1050 by multimeter? Gpuz shows that in idle that card consumes about 35 W(47-49% tdp) , but in all internet reviews when u measure by multimeter it consumes about 7 W. This is a common issue u can google it. Sensor problem at all gtx 1050...so in this case gpuz lies...
All PCIE slots on the motherboard is designed for up to 75 watts. Its is up to the PCIE device to request X amount of power. I've seen anywhere from 30 to 75~ from videos cards. Its not a 50/50 split based on the design. In this case since I used a riser, I had to power it separately since the USB cable going to the PICE slot does not carry enough for it to operate. In this case it only was used for data transferring. Thanks for asking!
Hi, may I know is it the PSU can't perform the power or the GPU ? I'm having an issue. When i watch movie or play game it randomly goes black screen but my fan and everything still running. It just written "no signal"
Damn, so easy to short out more than 10 amps with the probe if the hand slips while looking away to the display. I would not risk it and assume 12 volts that regulated power supplies should have, and what could be verified from a free molex conector.
Which voltage was it that was reading 10.8v? Wanna sell me a working gpu? My kingpin just died on me yesterday & its out of warranty. Horrible time for a dead gpu
I don't trust CPU-Z after it showed that my original Legion 5 (2021 version) only has a 80W 3060 which doesn't even exist as far as i know while the peak TDP was 130W according MSI Afterburner , Hybrid mode off , plugged in and on performance mode
hello my graphics card is buzzing I see in GPU-z the 8 and 6 pin connectors produce more than 12.0v 12.1v when gaming and sometimes 12.3 in idle did you think this is dangerous my power supply is Thermaltake smart se 730w and it buzzing especially when playing games -what did you think causing the problem please help me
The buzzing is coming from coil whine most likely. It is usually caused by "dirty power" in my experience (my house), though it can simply be "a thing" cards do. I had one that buzzed for years, another stopped after a month. Some never buzz at all. Than you have things to consider like house power. It is on a UPS, cheap power strip with no filters, etc. To answer your voltage question 11.8-12.3v is fine. Coil whine is not a problem per say, its just part of the process for stepping voltage down I believe.
I have a MSI GE76 Raider laptop with i7 11800h and RTX3070 and the GPU board and chip power are gone crazy. I get reading of 220W and 200W spikes gaming. It doesnt seem to do it in benchmarks like kumsustor but playing COD Modern warfare and Doom Eternal it will spike occasionally and seems only momentarily. Any ideas what could cause such an issue?
