I feel like the second half of the bats level came from Barb being so frustrated with that one hack where the swinging platform was attached to a shell that he decided to do it himself.
I stopped by Barbs channel for the first time a while back to check out GPW3 building on stream just to get a taste of it and he was finishing up that last part of the video and then he was like, yeah I better put a checkpoint up here 😂
That shell at 12:44 is actually genius design. Its a great troll if you just grab the orb, but it also draws you past the orb to lead you into the spot where a secret is. A+ work by Barb on that one.
To be fair, even though Bowser turns into a castle his goal in that game seems to be to throw the rockinest concert the Mushroom Kingdom has ever seen (probably some Jack Black movie influence there) and even though Mario _doesn't_ get to turn into a castle he turns into SO MANY other things just in that one game alone. I wouldn't be surprised if Mario could turn into...other...stuff outside of the game.

he's definitely wrong about every generation being smarter than the next. for the past few decades they've been dumbing people down hard, so when they pull a bogus 0utbr3ak or other similar bs out of their asses, most people fall for it. when you see how many people did fall for it, that says it all. and now they know they could repeat that any time they want, to an even bigger extreme if they want. only a very small % of people see through this nonsense, even though they intentionally make it obvious.
I love bats but there is reason to be scared of them other than the vampire thing. They're major carriers of rabies and other serious diseases. Still, healthy bats are some of the cutest things out there.
I love that this hack is all platforming. Hard, timed, harsh, and sometimes trolly platforming, but you don't need to know any ridiculous tech or how to do a triple midair shell jump to go through it.

I know there is a massive amount of time and work that went into this so I don't have any ground to stand on because I wouldn't have the patience to do a hack ever but selfishly I want this to last forever and I'll be sad when the game is over. The bright side is he'll probably speedrun it a bunch 😊
GPW3 is a masterpiece. What a romhack. These guys should make actual video games for a large audience. I see another super meat boy or Ori game in front of me, but better.
I think it's more correct to say newer generations are more knowledgeable then previous ones, whether or not they are always more intelligent is a different question lol.
Being a person who works with a lot of teenagers in a restaurant(they come and go by the month since it’s “too difficult being a busser” for them) and a lot of family and friends who are teachers in multiple districts, only 1 friend has said that this generation is book smart, not street smart. Everyone else including myself says this generation is doomed because they’re getting dumber and dumber due to social media. They’re too gullible and believe everything without checking because it’s easier to just be told things and believe it at face value rather than checking to see if something is real or not. We currently have an 18 year old convinced that gravity isn’t real because he heard it on a podcast and “the guy sounded convincing” was his reason and he has half the kids that work there to believe him. I wish this wasn’t a true story. My friend who was a teacher for about 24 years quit because kids just can’t focus or retain information and just screw around since they won’t get in trouble because people are too afraid to enact punishment, and those that do are afraid that they will lose their job.
The basic idea of the lottery claim isn't exactly bullshit, but it's misunderstood. People who win prizes in the lottery do go bankrupt at a higher rate than the general public. But the obvious question is which prizes we are talking about. If someone wins $20,000 in the lottery, it's not all that shocking that they would declare bankruptcy at some point later in life, maybe even in a few years. People who play the lottery a lot tend to have less efficient and more risky spending habits than the general public. I still think 30% in 2 years is very difficult to believe, but a more modest stat would make sense. Obviously someone who wins a billion dollars is not likely to blow it all, though occasionally they still do. It's usually a combination of giving a significant amount away to friends and family (which comes with a whole heap of taxes) and making bad investments that lose money.
Maybe this is just me, but I don’t need to see the full run where he hits a new checkpoint or finishes a level. It kind of spoils which is the run that will make it
The gimmick on the blue platforms is they keep spinning once touched until Mario lands on ground. The grey platform counts as ground and resets the platforms.

It's more like 10% of really stupid lottery winners go broke. If you have any frugalness whatsoever, and can do basic math like a reasonable smart person, then yeah, winning 1,000,000 of almost anything is a good thing. People are just jealous, and I am too but not like that.
UnpopuIar opinion: I only like Will Ferrell's early work on SNL, his roles in Elf and Step Brothers and his voice acting (Lego Movie for instance) ...everything else seems obnoxious.
Poo is a better mario player than understanding the world. By example, are ppl smarter today than before? Well, let's look at music...going downhill dor hundreds of years. Construction? Used to build beautiful cathedrals and other masterpieces...now it's cheap and ugly. Nobody thinks for themselves, they just appeal to authority.
