Thanks for this video. As a newbie with a GPX6000 I found this more helpful than the instructions included which assume a certain level of experience. Love listening to the subtle changes in tone. Now I know what I am listening for!
Three separate prizes, share the love a little farther. That’s probably the best example of threshold sounding better than no threshold I’ve seen. I do like auto 1, particularly on variable ground as it turns the sensitivity up as well as down rather than locking it in on a lower sensitivity. You can still use threshold in auto.
Golds way to hard to find these days especially when 100 guys with 6000s have been there first to give away , good test I'd Iike you to turn on the threshold in auto to see what it sounded like then or turn it off in manual ..
Interesting video mate. You can turn the threashold on in auto by holding the ground type button for a long press same as you can turn it off in manual. Im surprised at the lack of depth on this test i can pull 0.1s at 12 inches with my 6000
My thoughts are pretty well the same running at about Manual 4 (1 up or down) consider noise as your enemy so need it just running smooth for me! Like to hear your thoughts on the NF and Coiltek coils when you can, thx Childsy!
Should have ground ballanced between each settings but yeah manual 1 and 2 is the way to go. Auto isn’t any good to me and manual max you get to many hot rocks. Thanks buddy!
You just answered a lot of questions I've been asking myself👍 Went from the 5000 & evo coil, to 7000 using zero threshold predominately, now HAD to buy the 6000 (and Nugget finger coil) due to deteriorating spinal issues. I also prefer head phones to the speaker (ear phones better up north) but great to see the low sensitivity still strong enough to pick up at depth. I've been struggling to get my machine 'quiet' even on zero threshold as it still 'chirps' even with perfect ground swing control? Great videos fella (& advice) Any advice on why TF machine not balancing fully regardless of ground conditions? Cheers fella
